Jessica and Dane Cook Back On?

So much Jessica news this week, we can barely keep up! Jessica and her Employee of the Month co-star, Dane Cook, were spotted "Canoodling" in a booth Wednesday night at a cast party at Tenjune in NYC. There have been plenty of rumors flying around all summer about the two making out in various places, so it's not completely surprising. Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, however, she claimed that she and Dane are just friends, despite their amazing chemistry on and off the set. Oh Jessica, you should not speak about being 'just friends' and 'amazing chemistry' in the same sentence if you don't want us to wonder. Here's more from Page Six:

JESSICA Simpson renewed her love affair with her "Employee of the Month" co-star Dane Cook Wednesday night at the film's premiere party at Tenjune....Spies said they curled up in a booth and spent the evening "whispering into each other's ears. Dane couldn't keep his eyes off her and kept coming back to her every time he was pulled away." They finally left with Simpson's hairdresser Ken Paves.

Here are some pics of Jessica, Dax and Dane on the Today Show this week. I love her adorable fall coat and her headband. I think this is the best she has looked all week. My biggest question about this week-long publicity blitz for Employee of the Month is where is poor Dax Shepard? The movie is so much more about Dax and Dane than Jessica, but all we have seen all week is Jess being paraded around like a puppet.

Jessica's Second Public Affair

Rumors are back regarding Jessica Simpson and her Employee of the Month co-star, Dane Cook. Apparently the two were getting hot and heavy at Hyde the other night. Since it's well known he has a longtime girlfriend, Racquel Houghton, Jessica now begins her Public Affair #2. The Scoop reports:

Last week, Cook and Simpson “couldn’t hide their feelings” for each other at the Hollywood hotspot Hyde, according to the mag, even though the two maintain that they’re “just friends.”

“They looked like two people trying not to look like a couple but who really wanted to rip each other’s clothes off,” a “witness” told L&S, which also reports that at 2 a.m. the two planned a rendezvous at a gas station.

How sexy - a gas station. I wonder if she wore shoes like Britney? Jessica is now at her home away form home, The NYC Ritz Carlton. Expect her to start promoting her new single A Public Affair.

Employee of the Month

Posters for the new Jessica Simpson movie, Employee of the Month, have been released. The comedy takes place in a warehouse discount store where Dax Shepard and Dane Cook compete to win Employee of the Month. The focus of the movie becomes about these two guys fighting for Jessica's attention. I have seen only one clip of the movie so far with Dane and Jess and it looked really goofy but not in a good way.

Jessica Premieres Employee of the Month

Jessica walked the red carpet in LA last night for the premiere of her new movie Employee of the Month. She praises her funny co-stars who helped her through the tough times after breaking up with Nick. But she was still nervous to see if fans would really love the movie as much as she did. People reports:

"I'm beaming right now," she said after the screening. "I'm so glad that everybody was laughing and enjoying themselves and having a good time. I had butterflies. I thought I was going to throw up or pee in my pants. I didn't know which one I was going to do. I was so nervous. I feel good now."

Simpson feels good in general these days. "I couldn't be in a better place," she said. Of the single life, she said, "I'm learning a lot about guys and a lot about myself. The best relationship is when you know yourself and can give back."

Jess, Dax and Dane: A Pleasant Surprise!

Jessica Simpson and Dane Cook were on TRL this week promoting Employee Of The Month, which opens tomorrow! Jessica (say something nice) stood out in her green jacket and thigh-high boots and as usual she made her famous funny faces. Dane is my new crush, he is just so darn cute.

I was lucky enough to catch an advanced screening of Employee Of The Month last night and I must say I was pleasantly surprised! The movie centers around the employees of a Costco-like warehouse store in middle America. Dax Shepard plays Vince Downey, the obnoxious Head Cashier who also happens to be the reigning Employee of the Month for seventeen straight months! Dane Cook plays Zack Bradley, a measly box boy who could not be happier about his low-profile status. That is until beautiful new cashier Amy, played by you guessed it, Jessica Simpson, transfers from store 262. The rumor is that Amy has a history of falling hard for whomever is named Employee of the Month. Energized by his quest to win Amy's heart, Zack decides to step it up and compete against Vince for the coveted title.

Like I said, I was pleasantly surprised. The movie was smarter and funnier than I expected and the interaction between Dax and Dane was brilliant. Jessica did not actually have any real lines until about half way through the movie and the story was really more about the competition between Zack and Vince and less about Amy. A fun, light-hearted movie that will not disappoint! Besides, if The Departed is sold out then this is a funny alternative if you have your heart set on going to the movies this weekend.

Extra Extra - Co-Star with Jessica!

Calling all Jessica fans. Her second movie, Employee of the Month, is looking for extras. Want to meet your ex-favorite newlywed in person and check out her lips and well you know what rhymes with that. Hopefully one of you lives in the area and can tell us first hand what it's like to work with Jessica. Will she be sweet or a total diva? Details are below:

If you've ever dreamed of being on the silver screen, your chance could be coming up.

Lion's Gate Films is holding a casting call for a new movie, "Employee of the Month," starring Jessica Simpson.

The film tells the story about a shopping superstore and the antics and love lives of its employees.

The movie will be shot in Santa Fe, starting on Feb. 15.

The film company needs extra softball players and jugglers, as well as children and adults of all races.

To audition, go to the Nativo Hotel in Albuquerque on Saturday, Feb. 4, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Jessica's Diva-ish Behavior

Pimp Daddy Simpson has not been doing a good job keeping Jessica's reputation as the cute, fun girl we at one time wanted to hang out with. The latest comes from Santa Fe where she is currently filming her new movie, Employee of the Month. People reports:

Before shopping at Wild Oats organic food market, the actress (who's been in New Mexico filming her role as a Wal-Mart cashier in Employee of the Month) called ahead to let management know she was coming. Store employees were asked not to approach her and were told to make sure she wasn't bothered while making her selections. And while she was there, her entourage surrounded her so that she could stroll through the store without being approached.

Just for the record, I think it is a terrible idea for her to do her own movie. There is no way she can carry a film. A better idea would have been trying to get a small part in more of an ensemble casted film. The way Jessica's image has been tarnished, it will be hard for her to make her mark in her own film.

Jessica's Men Should Expect "Lights, Camera, Action"

Jessica was her usual goofy self during an interview with Access Hollywood at a cast party for Employee Of The Month this week. Speaking in the third person, she told the reporter that "It's hard to date Jessica" and then went on to say that any guy that dates her has to expect "lights, camera, action." We are pretty sure we know what she meant, but it definitely came out sounding a little funny. Here she is again on her way to one of her many appearances in New York this week to promote Employee Of The Month.
