In light of Amy Winehouse's recent erratic behavior, her mother has written an open letter urging her daughter to take the first step towards recovery by acknowledging her drug problems, phoning home, and letting her family help her get well. Sugar Bits - Enchanted Tops the Box Office Again

Enchanted took the top spot at the box office for the second week in a row, followed by This Christmas and Beowulf. The holiday movie season will be in full swing next weekend with the release of The Golden Compass and Atonement, so it will be interesting to see who comes out on top then. - BuzzSugar

Patrick and Amy Waltz Their Enchantment Around NYC

Patrick Dempsey and Amy Adams have been spending a lot of QT making the rounds together promoting Enchanted. Yesterday it was an afternoon waltzing at TRL and then off to the big Manhattan premiere complete with Tim Robbins and Mayor Bloomberg. The film looks a little cheesy (like Dempsey's TRL hair), but Patrick asserts it's just good traditional Disney fun. He said, "The movie is, in essence, about true love's kiss and true love...And it's everything Disney in a way, in that it's very funny and honors (the studio's animated classics), and it's an old-fashioned musical." Okay, fine, maybe I'm just curious to see Patrick belting it out.

Patrick and Amy Enchant Hollywood

Patrick Dempsey and Amy Adams walked the red carpet hand in hand at the premiere of their movie Enchanted in LA Saturday night. Helen Mirren went a little overboard with the metallic getup and pink shoes. Carrie Underwood looked adorable and was there to support the movie, which features one of her new songs. Taye Diggs and America Ferrera were there looking simple and stylish. In the movie, Amy Adams plays a typical Disney princess who gets a rude awakening when she finds herself in modern day NYC. The real world may be a little harsh for a cartoon princess, but something tells me that Patrick Dempsey is about as close as it gets to a real-life Prince Charming.

Patrick Settles for Second Sexiest

Patrick Dempsey and cute Tallulah were all packed up as they left their house in LA on Sunday and headed to NYC to promote Enchanted all over. He must be excited that his new movie is kid friendly, because his little ones are a bit too young to watch daddy on Grey's Anatomy. At Saturday's Enchanted premiere, Patrick weighed in on the movie but also joked about losing the title of People's Sexiest Man Alive to Matt Damon. He said, "Always a bridesmaid, never a bride." Considering Patrick is known as McDreamy, he's got no reason to be jealous. Plus, we all know how hot he looks in a bridesmaid dress.

Tallulah might be a bit young to be giving her dad presents other than homemade (without the help of mom, of course) but if you're in need of inspiration check out our holiday gift guides for some helpful hints - this week it's all about what to give dad.

The Oscars Are Back but Not With a Vengeance

Last night the winners weren't shocking but the show still had a few memorable moments. First off, let's not blame Jon Stewart for the probably least watched Oscars ever. It wasn't his fault they had no time to prepare which left us watching montage after montage. The pregnancy joke was inevitable - too bad Jolie wasn't even there to accept her pseudo-award. It also wasn't Jon's fault that it took over an hour before a big actor award was handed out. When that time came, Javier took the stage with a smile. Expected winner, Daniel Day-Lewis kissed his fellow nominee George Clooney on his way up to grab his little gold man. Of the many Enchanted performances, my favorite was the adorable Kristin Chenoweth singing, "That's How You Know." One pleasant surprise was seeing Owen Wilson presenting Best Live Action Short. We're also very happy to see Juno win something! Congrats Diablo Cody!

Dempsey Gets Props From People (and You!)

Since we won't be getting a new episode of Grey's Anatomy tonight (boo), here's some afternoon McManjoyment for you. Patrick was looking very serious as he went for a stroll in LA yesterday, but he's got a lot to smile about with all the end-of-the-year credit he's been racking up lately. Even though he was only the runner-up for People's Sexiest Man Alive, the magazine has named him as their Star of the Year. Not a bad title if you ask us, but if Patrick needs some more encouragement, you guys also voted his relationship with Amy Adams in Enchanted as the best movie romance of 2007. Here's hoping that 2008 will bring more great things for him and more important, more new episodes of Grey's for us.

Condensed Sugar: The Week of Thanksgiving

This week it was all about the holidays, as celebrities spent time with their loved ones and families. From Madonna's family bonding in London at the premiere of Fred Claus, to Heath and Matilda's stroll in NYC, Katherine Heigl's time with her fiance Josh, and even Rachel Bilson's canine QT with Thurman Murman, it was a week of appreciating all of the wonderful people (and pets) in our lives. Here's what else went down:

It was a big week for Patrick Dempsey, who premiered Enchanted in LA before heading to NYC to visit TRL, and opening up to Best Life magazine.
Lindsay Lohan left LA for NYC last weekend where she met up with her family, and we wondered if she will be making a cameo on Dina's show.
After hanging out with her dog London over the weekend, Britney Spears was out on the town again, thinking of hiring a private investigator and going out with her maybe new guy.
After celebrating with friends and family at her baby shower, Nicole Richie was out in LA wearing one of Oprah's favorite things.

Dempsey Describes the Best Life

Not surprisingly, Patrick Dempsey looks dapper and sexy in color as well as black & white on the pages of the December issue of Best Life. His new movies Enchanted and Made of Honor are lighthearted, but in the article Patrick gets serious about his hobbies and his career. Here are highlights:

On Grey's Anatomy: "The show is like running a marathon. It feels like it never stops. The obligations you have for the show-it's relentless. The amount of exposure and the visibility…it was a big change for me. Coming to terms with it has been the real challenge."
On putting family first: "At the end of the day, family-and all of its joys and heartaches-is the grounding force. It's why you do everything. It's why you go to work, and why you put up with what you have to put up with, why you do what you have to do. Because you want a better life for them."
On success: "Do you sacrifice now so you can have a lot of time later? So you can have the financial stability to go, 'You know what? I'm at home now. I'm going to take you to football practice, to ballet, and to horse riding. I'll be there and I'll watch you.' I guess that's the dream that everyone wants. I guess success is how much free time you have."

We love that Patrick's such a family man. Sounds like he just wants to settle down and relax like McDreamy in his trailer on Grey's and his character in Made of Honor which looks surprisingly cute.
