Eric Mabius and Laboring Wife Had Hectic Cab Ride to Hospital

Daniel Meade may get himself out of sticky situations on Ugly Betty, but actor Eric Mabius who plays the magazine heir and his wife, Ivy, had a crazy New York cab ride trying to get to the hospital for the birth of their second child back in December. The father of two talked about the ordeal - their taxi running out of gas en route - in the latest issue of Life & Style. He said:

We had to pull over to the side of the highway. The driver got out and started waving his hands to hail another cab.”

The couple made it to the hospital and after just 90 minutes of labor, their boy bundle of joy, Rylan, arrived weighing in at a whopping 10 pounds, 3 ounces. The couple that also have 1-year-old son, Maxfield, aren't sure if they will continue to add to their family.

Ugly Betty's had some rough patches lately, so I was thrilled that last week's episode felt like a return to form. The show gave us drama, over-the-top fashion, and the most ridiculous birth scene I've ever seen on television - in other words, exactly what I want Betty to be.

This week's episode is ominously titled "Things Fall Apart," but I know at least one good thing is carrying over from last week: Betty gets another YETI storyline. This time, she's assigned to study the Mode budget, and it appears that she turns up some disturbing info about the magazine's finances. Meanwhile, Wilhelmina tries to adjust to life with her baby, and Betty gets some news about Henry thanks to her new Facebook page. And will we find out what's going on with Molly? It seems like she's hiding something disturbing from Daniel.

Lindsay Helps the Ugly Betty Girls Premiere Season Three!

The cast of Ugly Betty including Lindsay Lohan celebrated the upcoming third season of their show last night in NYC. Lindsay looked great and seemed in better spirits than when she punched a paparazzi (whoops) the night before, signing autographs for fans outside the party and posing on the red carpet before ducking out to Dina's birthday party. America Ferrera, Becki Newton and Ana Ortiz smiled together while all the cast members are thrilled to be shooting in NYC and to get back on the air. It's a big weekend ahead for Ugly Betty - America and Vanessa Williams are up for Emmy Awards. Don't forget to fill out your ballot for a chance to win an HDTV!

The Hills Are Alive and Heating Up Maxim

Last year Lindsay Lohan turned heads in her rainbow Herve Leger dress at the Maxim Hot 100 party, but this year Lauren Conrad and Audrina Patridge took over as the night's hottest starlets. Audrina even wore a dress by the same designer but wasn't interested in discussing whether plastic surgery helped her fill it out. On the boys' side, Brody Jenner and Kevin Federline posed together, making us wonder who's the bigger douchebag, while Nick Lachey just looked happy to celebrate the list that honored his girlfriend at No. 68. According to the Associated Press, the actor and his wife, Ivy Sherman are expecting their second child.

It looks like their one-year-old son, Maxfield is going to be a big brother.

Betty and Company Join the Strike

America Ferrera, Becki Newton, and Rebecca Romijn were just a few of the Ugly Betty cast members who grabbed signs and rallied around their writers on the picket lines yesterday. The strike can't be easy on any of the parties involved, but we bet the writers were happy to get lots of support. As for the show, we were loving Posh's super short guest spot last night. Hopefully, the writers and producers will get this whole thing settled soon because we don't know how we'll deal with no next episode if it ends with a cliffhanger like last night.

Celebrities Play for Good In Spain

Paris, Eva, Ugly Betty's Eric Mabias and Terrence Howard definitely had a good plan for this Labor Day weekend. They all headed off to Mallorca, Spain for a weekend of events supporting the Playing For Good Philanthropic Summit. Doing good in that gorgeous setting? Not too shabby. Naturally, Paris Hilton was happy to be at every event -- you know, considering she is the most charity-driven person ev-er. Goldie Hawn looked like she was loving it! I (vaguely) wonder if Eva stopped off to see her new in laws while she was off in Europe.

Rosario & Eric Get Their Auction On

Beautiful Rosario was swimming in her red dress at Thursday night's Stoli Elit auction to benefit Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA). She was still the belle of the ball along with Ugly Betty's cutie Eric Mabius. The end of season one left with Daniel and Alexis Meade careening off the road and I definitely can't wait to see what happened to them (and where Posh works into the storyline)! Can I get a Yay for Fall TV?
