Mary-Louise Parker flaunts her body in a sexy and NSFW photo shoot for Esquire's August issue. She's out promoting the newest season of Weeds, after the show's characters had some tech drama on this week's episode. MLP also posed for racy photos for the magazine back in 2002, but this time around she's focused on domestic pursuits like pie-making and writing thank-you notes to men. She also reads Alice in Wonderland in lingerie - and there's even a video below.

Bar Wears Nothing but a Stephen King Story

Bar stripped down in an incredibly sexy photo shoot for Esquire magazine's July issue. She got part of a Stephen King novel painted on her naked body as she continues to show us more skin. The supermodel talked about who she looks up to, why she's so confident and gave a few tips on how to pose. Here are some highlights:

On her role model: "Heidi Klum. I really like what she's doing. It's what I picture myself as."
On girls from Israel: "It's the mentality. Israel is so small, and we struggle just to stay alive. Israeli girls are a little more - I'm not comparing - but we're very confident. We like to have fun. We're very free. It shows in our character, and it goes in the camera."
On why she did this Stephen King shoot: "I haven't seen anything like that ever. So I wanted to be the girl who did it."

Bar looks amazing and she's already on her way in the footsteps of her role model Heidi as she continues to grab everyone's attention with her beauty, drive and confident attitude.

Ben Gives Esquire an Honest Play by Play of His Life

Ben Affleck looks a little worked up on the cover of April's Esquire, but while he did express a few frustrations, in the interview he remained a perfect gentleman. He talks about his new movie State of Play, which opens on April 17, and how he's actually "a pretty boring guy" in real life. Here's more:

On his personality: "What's the most radical twist - or the most surprising thing about myself - is that none of the stuff you read, none of it has anything to do with me, with my life, my work. I'm a very straightforward, pretty boring guy. And that's just the f**king truth. Because who I am, as a person, in my everyday life, wouldn't sell any magazines. And even when I've been in circumstances like relationships ended, where that seemed like high drama, the truth was much more pedestrian when you got right down to it."
On why he drove a rental to the interview: "The thing about the car is this, I drive you in [my personal] car and you describe it. You notice something I haven't - you pick up on something, some inelegant little smear, or get a glimpse of my daughter's art from school, some little forgotten whatever. And maybe it hurts someone in my family, somewhere, somehow, and then it's like, 'F**k it, the next [reporter] doesn't get in the car.'"
On why he did HJNTIY: "It's four days' work. Four days, you know? Directing, that's years. Years. But four days? You're in, you're out. You know, they asked, and I thought it was a funny script. And I wanted to work with Jennifer Aniston."
On working: "I work harder now than I ever have in my life, because I got a family. I worry about that. Yeah, I worry about the world, but not all the time. Sometimes I'm just really selfish, just like anyone else."

Ben's passionate opinions make it hard to believe he's as boring as he says, but it's sweet to read how important it is to keep his precious family protected and provided for.

Even George Clooney Is Obsessed With Clive Owen

Clive Owen looks seriously sexy for the March issue of Esquire. He's been making the rounds promoting The International with Naomi Watts and up next, Clive will start working on Duplicity press with Julia Roberts. In the magazine, he talks about his family yet again while Julia reveals what she thinks makes her costar so lovable. Here are some highlights:

On why he likes soccer: "Outside of being home with my family, I prefer a crowd. At a soccer match, the big crowd, the singing, rocking around, it's urgent as hell. There's a ritual to it. I want to be in that mess. And no one bothers me. At a soccer game, everyone's eyes are on the pitch, aren't they? They don't care about some f***ing movie star. They have their eyes on the right thing. They watch the battle."
On preparing for a role: "I do a lot better if I sit around and think about a character for a couple of months. Before I climb into him for a run, I've just sat on my a** thinking about him, just reading, plodding around my house, driving my girls to school, fixing eggs. Like that. There's not a lot of transformation in it. I'm still just a driver to my children."
Julia Roberts on Clive: "George Clooney is obsessed with Clive. Every good-guy actor talks about Clive as one of their very favorites. Because he's English, because his successes have stood on the shoulders of his talents alone, because he hasn't just been carried away by popular culture. He's almost the most free of all of those guys. [...] The only surprise about Clive was how absolutely ferocious he could be on camera. When we shot Closer, he used to make me cry. He's a kind of emotional terrorist, so vicious. The thing about Clive is the happiness and security he has in real life is what allows him to go into a room and grab everyone's attention effortlessly. The secret is, everyone is really attracted to contentment."

Clive may prefer to blend in as a doting dad than to stand out as a movie star, but it has to be at least a little flattering to know he's raising the bar for his fellow A-listers like Clooney.

Tom Brady Is Football Manjoyment

Tom Brady didn't need his football helmet to look handsome all suited up for the September issue of Esquire. Football season is just around the corner, which means it's time for Tom to start working towards erasing last year's Super Bowl from all of our minds. In the issue, Tom won't dish on Gisele or his little boy, but opens up about life, celebrity, and why football isn't that important. Here are highlights:

On going out in public: "If I feel anxious every time someone is staring at me, well, I can't control what they stare at, but my reaction is, I'm just not going to go outside the house. I'm going to stay in and chill. And when I do go out, I understand what comes along with that."
On his career: "Look at the attention I get: It's because I throw a football. But that's what society values. That's not what God values. God could give a shi*t, as far as I'm concerned. He didn't invent the game. We did. I have some eye-hand coordination, and I can throw the ball. I don't think that matters to God."

On his father: "We all have experiences in our lives that change us, and we all learn from people, like my dad, but at the end of the day, it's only us. And we're only responsible to make ourselves happy. Too often in life, something happens and we blame other people for us not being happy or satisfied or fulfilled. So the point is, we all have choices, and we make the choice to accept people or situations or to not accept situations. If someone lies, well, you had a choice to trust that person or not. I think the way my father raised me, well, he trusted everybody. And that worked for him."
On losing the Super Bowl: "What the hell you gonna do about it? Sit there and b*tch and complain and ruin the next two months of your life because something didn't go right for you? Or do you say, you know, F*ck it, let's learn from it, let's accept it, understand that it didn't happen and move on?"

Tom Brady might be low key, but there's nothing boring about this hot football QB - whether he's on or off the field.

Jessica Simpson Is All Wet, but Not Washed Up

Jessica Simpson's Esquire cover wasn't the best photo of her in the world, but she washed off the shaving cream (and everything else) for the steamy spread inside the magazine. Quite the far cry from her casual daytime looks, Jessica hits the showers and proves that she's still got a whole lot of sexiness under her silly disposition. In fact, Tony Romo might have to watch out that his teammates don't have her pictures pinned up in their lockers when football season comes around again.

Clooney Talks Some Smack and Plays on the Internet

George Clooney got a little goofy for his Esquire photoshoot and interview. Beyond making funny faces with cutout eyes (remind anyone else of Claire's art on Six Feet Under?) he and the reporter had some fun with Google. In fact, not only does Clooney look at his fan sites, but he looks himself up on youtube, facebook groups, the whole nine yards. Also, he admits that he shaves his widow's peak. Just saying. Um, they even watch 2 girls 1 cup together - though Clooney doesn't last more than a few seconds. Here are highlights of what Clooney found:

On Fabio saying he would win in a fight: "Yeah, that's probably true. He's a big guy. There is a moment when you are actually in the argument and you're thinking, 'If I do get beaten down by Fabio, that will be far worse than the pain. I wouldn't shake that."
On a website calling him "gay, gay, gay": "No, I'm gay, gay. The third gay – that was pushing it."
On Rupert Everett calling the Oceans movies a "cancer" that are "destorying us": "Where did that come from? You kind of go, Dude, weren't you in Dunston Checks in?"
On a psychic who says he'll marry this year: "I think that wedding one is a bit ahead of its time."
On Brad Pitt: "Well, you know, if I was a girl and he was a girl, and I was a lesbian and he was a lesbian, I'd be all over him."

Always the jokester, but that's what we love about Clooney, right? We have high hopes for Leatherheads, but at least if it ends up being a bust he'll have a laugh about it and move on. Can you blame him, though? He's Clooney. He always wins.

Naomi Watts Prefers to Be Running Scared

Naomi Watts sexed up a basic button up and men's ties for the latest cover of Esquire. The photoshoot seems lighthearted and fun, a side of her we don't typically get to see on the big screen. In the article she explains why she'd rather do scary and serious films than comedic ones, being BFF with Nicole Kidman, and what it's like working with her man Liev. Here are highlights:

On why she picks the roles that she does: "Don't get me wrong. I'd love to do more comedy, but that kind of thing is just not truthful to me."
On working on scary movies: "I like playing scared. It's fun - and besides, no one
is that perfect. There's always another side, and that's the fun of it. I love to crack it all open, to find the contradictions we all have in ourselves."
On working with Liev: "It's terrifying, because he's so, so good. We talk about projects, process and then we laugh and say, thank God no one was here to hear that."

Johnny and Tim Are In Their Own Little World

Johnny Depp took off his hat and looks hotter than ever on the January cover of Esquire Magazine. Of course, in the pages he is accompanied by his good friend and colleague Tim Burton, because it seems like if someone's gotta go out and do press for Sweeney Todd, these two would much rather do it together. Johnny talks about what it was like to sing on screen for the first time at 43 and jokes about how many times he has married Helena Bonham Carter on screen. At the end of the day, it's just incredibly sweet to witness their mutual respect and admiration. Here are highlights:

JD: We speak in a sort of shorthand.
TB: It's not literal. We'll cross-reference things that wouldn't really make sense to the normal person.
JD: One time, Tim and I were talking before we were getting ready to shoot. Afterward, one of the grips comes over to me with this really perplexed look on his face. He says, "I was just watching you and Tim talk about the scene for the last fifteen minutes." "Yeah." And he says, "I didn't understand a f****** word either of you said."
TB: That about sums it up.

JD: I don't think we've ever had an argument.
TB: I don't think so. There have been differences of opinion and different takes on certain things.
JD: But even in that kind of situation, Tim just says, "Okay, do it like you want and then do it the other way."

Considering the excellent things these two have created before, I can only imagine the creepy and surreal fun that will be Sweeney Todd. Plus, we all know that any Johnny on the big screen (even when he's scary) is a treat.

Esquire Honors Its Performances of the Year

Esquire honored its favorite performances of 2007 - Denzel Washington, Cate Blanchett, Javier Bardem, Jake Gyllenhaal, Robert Downey Jr. and Emile Hirsch - with two different cute covers for their December issue. Looks like the six had a lot of fun goofing around during their shoot, especially Jakey G and Robert. The magazine has short blurbs about each of their picks, though we're most impressed with Cate being the only woman in the group. She was chosen for playing a man, however, as the stand out Bob Dylan in I'm Not There. Unfortunately beyond Cate, Buzz didn't love the movie - check out her review here.
