Reese Joins Country's Biggest Stars and Taylor Makes History at CMA Awards in Nashville

Reese Witherspoon was pretty in pink as she stepped on stage to present at last night's CMA Awards in Nashville. The movie star was in the company of country music's biggest names, which of course include Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood. For the red carpet Taylor Swift wore a strapless J. Mendel, Carrie Underwood was in Reem Acra, and Ginnifer Goodwin was in Prabal Gurung. Taylor performed her new love song "Ours" during the show, and she also took home the biggest honor of the evening, Entertainer of the Year. Taylor also won that award in 2009, making her the second woman to earn it twice. Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley played cohosts for the third year in a row and once again showed off their funny chemistry on stage.

Reese wasn't the only Oscar-winning actress in the house, since Nicole Kidman was there on the arm of her husband Keith Urban. Faith Hill hit the red carpet in a stunning white Chado Ralph Rucci gown with Tim McGraw by her side. Gwyneth, Leighton, and Tim Make a Cute Country Crew at Their LA Premiere

Gwyneth Paltrow stepped out in a daring white Pucci dress for the premiere of Country Strong in LA last night. The InStyle cover girl was joined by her costars Leighton Meester, who wore a pink Christian Dior mini, Garrett Hedlund, and Tim McGraw, who had wife Faith Hill by his side. Tim and Faith also supported Gwyneth at her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony earlier this week. The musical movie was nominated for a Best Song Golden Globe, after Gwyneth showed off her singing voice at the CMAs and on Glee, and we'll get to see her take the stage on the big screen when the film hits theaters in limited release Dec. 22 and more theaters on Jan. 7. Gwyneth Paltrow Shines Accepting Her Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Gwyneth Paltrow broke out her Winter white this afternoon to unveil her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in LA. Unlike recent honoree Reese Witherspoon, Gwyneth didn't bring her kids, Apple and Moses, out for the event. Instead, the Country Strong star posed with costar Tim McGraw, pal Faith Hill, and a handful of other girlfriends. Gwyneth is out on the West Coast doing a press push for her new movie, which opens on Jan. 7, and spent the weekend at the junket with Tim, Leighton Meester, and Garrett Hedlund. Leighton managed to steal the headlines by announcing her intentions to leave Gossip Girl in 2012, but Gwyneth is renewing her commitment to the small screen. She just confirmed that she'll return to Glee in January but hopefully will avoid fueling any more drama with the Lohans.

Taylor Swift Named Songwriter of the Year in a Sexy LBD

Taylor Swift became the youngest winner ever of Songwriter of the Year at last night's BMI Awards in Nashville. Taylor looked great in her Z Spoke by Zac Posen dress and got choked up on stage talking about a friend who recently passed away. She also took home Song of the Year for "You Belong With Me" making it quite the week for Taylor and that's before tonight's big CMAs where she's up for best Female Vocalist. Taylor just racked up even more nods with two People's Choice nominations, though she can't celebrate immediately with Jake Gyllenhaal who is off dodging questions about their relationship in London. Taylor will reportedly sing "Back to December" during this evening's show and Gwyneth Paltrow will perform her country single for the first time - does that encourage you to tune in? Faith Hill and Tim McGraw were also out yesterday after joining Gwyneth and Leighton Meester for Monday's Tennessee premiere of Country Strong. The whole group will be back together in a few short hours to celebrate what's touted as the genre's biggest event.

Gwyneth and Leighton Bring Their Country Strong to Nashville

Gwyneth Paltrow and Leighton Meester wore very different peekaboo dresses on the red carpet at the Country Strong world premiere in Nashville last night. Gwyneth paired her revealing Chado Ralph Rucci number with Lanvin shoes while Leighton was in a Marc Jacobs gown and Ferragamo on her feet. The Gossip Girl star was fresh off her glamorous Vera Wang fragrance shoot. She and Gwyneth were joined by the rest of the cast, including Tim McGraw and his beautiful wife Faith Hill, before introducing the film to the crowd. Gwyneth shared a sweet moment with Gabe Sipos, their pint-sized costar behind children's cancer charity ChemoDuck.org. Gwyneth will be making her country performance debut at tomorrow night's CMA Awards and she'll be belting it out on Glee's Nov. 16 episode, taking on Cee-Lo's "F*** You." She is also working on quitting sugar, which combined with her famous fitness regimen helps keep her looking fantastic as she officially adds singer to her resume.

Sandra Bullock made a surprise appearance and led the roster of stars who turned out in Tennessee last night for the Nashville Rising concert benefiting victims of the recent floods there. She stuck close to her The Blind Side costar Tim McGraw, who arrived with his wife Faith Hill. Taylor Swift wrapped up her bikini-filled getway to the Bahamas in order to attend, while Miley Cyrus covered up after her latest scantily-clad performance at Sunday's MuchMusic Awards. Carrie Underwood was also among the evening's performers, but Sandra was the one who stole the show. She took the stage with a guitar for a rendition of "Smoke on the Water," but after playing a few notes said, "I can't play for crap!" It was the latest evening of celebrity philanthropy after Monday's telethon for the Gulf Coast, with Sandra and her friends raising more than $2 million for their cause.
