Okay, but seriously: This hairstyle is edgy, and it's certainly more flattering than some of Fantasia's previous looks. It's a touch too wild for my taste, but you've gotta give the girl credit for her fearless style choices. What do you think of Fantasia's new 'do?

Sugar Bits - Brandy Involved in Fatal Crash

Brandy evidently caused a fatal car accident last month when she hit a car from behind and caused subsequent collisions. There was no evidence of drugs or alcohol and she has not been arrested. The story is still developing so stay tuned. TMZ

Tomorrow, two "American Idol" artists will release self-titled albums on the exact same day, and I can't help but think of the timing as a sort of AI finalist smackdown. To decide who wins, you can stream the albums by Fantasia and Taylor Hicks in their entirety.

After my cursory review, I think I have to call Fantasia the winner, even if her album art does feature her name in a rather unfortunate place. After all, she's got guest artists like Big Boi, while Hicks has lyrics like this: "I got an A in broken hearts / I got my degree in cryin'." Whose album do you think is better?

After 132 million votes, Phillip Phillips is the winner of American Idol season 11. The finale was a total talent blowout. Cars were given to the top two (and their mentors), a number of bedazzled spandex bodysuits were rocked, and Jane Lynch was in the audience! Steven Tyler showed off his sloth and Idol alums Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo even got engaged on stage! But let's talk music.

Phillip got to have a jam session with Creedence Clearwater Revival's John Fogerty and Jessica Sanchez sang with Tony-winner Jennifer Holliday. But the finalists weren't the only ones who got to perform with their musical inspirations; second runner-up Joshua Ledet sang with his personal idol Fantasia Barrino, Skylar Laine jammed with Reba McEntire, and Hollie Cavanagh lit up the stage with Jordin Sparks. Legends Chaka Khan and Neil Diamond were also there, J Lo and Aerosmith brought down the house, and Rihanna performed her hit "Where Have You Been." Inevitably, it was all foreplay to the moment when Ryan called out Phillip's name. So what did you think? Are you surprised? Was the right winner chosen?

There goes another staple in award season - the Grammys are a wrap! The night was chock-full of performances from standouts like Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga, but there were a few statuettes passed out between songs.

Muse frontman Matt Bellamy took the opportunity to thank his "beautiful pregnant girlfriend" Kate Hudson while accepting the trophy for best rock album, and Lady Gaga gave props to Whitney Houston in her acceptance speech for best pop album. Lady Antebellum scored big with five golden gramophones, but it was Arcade Fire that won the biggest award of the night, taking home the accolade for album of the year.
