Munich Is Alive With the Sound of Music Awards

Last night Munich was abuzz with music sensations for the MTV Euro Music Awards. There were singers and performers from all over the world, but the night belonged to a Canadian, Avril Lavigne, winning both Most Addictive Track for "Girlfriend" and Solo Performer of 2007. Apparently, hats were the dress code for dudes, as evidenced by the Madden brothers, Jared Leto, Snoop and Pete Doherty. Bella wants to know what color hair you like best on Joss Stone, but really that was the least of her worries here. Speaking of Kate Moss' ex, he was about a million times more clean than usual and spoke on the red carpet about the reason for his new sobriety. He said, "Yeh, it's all different now. I don't know ... God, and melody." Not as sober, sadly, was Amy Winehouse, who was a shell of herself performing on stage and accepted the Artists' Choice Award with a measly "Thanks." Girlfriend needs help, and I hope she gets it before too late.

Sugar Bits - Body Believed to be Jennifer's Nephew Found

The body of a boy matching the description of Jennifer Hudson's 7-year-old missing nephew was found in her deceased brother's SUV this morning. Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother were fatally shot in Chicago on Friday, and Jennifer had offered a $100,000 reward for the safe return of her nephew. - AP

John Mayer Can Still Share His Music If Not His Thoughts

John Mayer continued to maintain those bulging biceps with a trip to the trainer in LA yesterday. He might not have much to say these days now that he's being more private for Jen, but we'll get to hear from John and his guitar in a few weeks. He's set to perform as part of “The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! - Countdown To Music’s Biggest Night” on December 3. John will be joining Celine Dion, Foo Fighters, Taylor Swift, and B.B. King for the one hour special, but we're most excited to see whether or not Jen will be there to cheer him on from the audience.

KROQ's Almost Acoustic Christmas

LL may be going to AA but that hasn't cut back on her nightlife. She made it out last night to score some swag and also attended the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas event in Universal City this weekend. The annual event takes place over two nights and included Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, AFI as well as older favorites like Beck, Foo Fighters and many more. Here's highlights:

Beck...married his set to a marionettes show at the back of the stage. 30 Seconds to Mars raced through the aisles dressed in Santa Claus costumes. Cee-Lo and Danger Mouse also came as Santas and the rest of Gnarls Barkley dressed as elves (the singer introduced himself as "Dirty Santa and the Ho Ho Hos").
Gnarls Barkley had...enough charisma to last all night in singer Cee-Lo, whose between-song banter and perma-smile certainly brought good tidings of joy. "This is the very reason I am rich and famous today," Cee-Lo said as he introduced the Grammy-nominated "Crazy."
"We're the only band without a Christmas gimmick," Evanescence singer Amy Lee joked backstage as the Gnarls girls rushed to the stage behind her. "I don't care though. That's metal."

A Who's Who of Celebs Come Out to Celebrate The Who

Celebrity familiar faces and rock legends came together in LA on Saturday night to celebrate at VH1 Rock Honors: The Who. The girls of The Hills minus Whitney looked hot on the red carpet - and in case you missed it, we had a chance to chat with LC about everything! Mila Kunis looked smokin' in her little silver dress and sultry poses. Performers for the evening included Pearl Jam, The Foo Fighters, Tenacious D, The Flaming Lips, Incubus, and The Who themselves. Even Adam Sandler couldn't resist the opportunity to whip out his guitar for a number. The bands shared the stage with presenters such as Sean Penn and Rainn Wilson, who added some comedic relief to the rock-centered night. Check out the show when it airs on VH1 July 17.

Clive Gets the Grammy Party Started . . . With Whitney

Clive Davis helped kick off the Grammys with his annual pre-show party on Saturday at the Beverly Hilton in LA. The appearance of the night was, of course, Whitney Houston who looked fabulous on the red carpet and with her wardrobe change inside. The icon was joined at the party by Lindsay Lohan in seafoam green and Rihanna in a very full-coverage number. Nicole and Joel were pulling double duty coming from the LACMA party to pose with the likes of Fergie and Pete/Ashlee. Miss Carrie Underwood was there with her boyfriend Chace Crawford, but he managed to avoid the cameras. Boo that. Inside, the party-goers were treated to performances from all-star acts like Alicia Keys, the Foo Fighters, Daughtry, and Leona Lewis. At one point Akon and Will.i.am took the stage for singing and backflips. I'm sure they were all home nice and early to get a good night's sleep before last night's Grammys. Suuuure.

During The VMA Party Was The Hotel Room Party

The performances at last night's VMAs were certainly inconsistent. The show kicked off with Britney's lackluster (Scared? Self-conscious? Nonchalant? I can't decide - check it out here) performance and then seemed like it wasn't going to pick up. While I appreciate the nonstop party idea they were going for with all the party suites, I missed all the big performances. That being said Rihanna/Chris Brown, Alicia Keys and Justin/Nelly Furtado/Timbaland were pretty awesome. Seriously, little Mr. Brown has some MOVES! Dayum. The rest of the performances seemed odd, being in hotel rooms and all. Or maybe I was just jealous I wasn't right there as Kanye sang Stronger. What did you think? Highlights? Lowlights?

Beyonce & JT Rake In The MTV VMA Nominations

Rihanna, Timbaland, Chris Brown, Robin Thicke and Kanye were all on hand today to help announce the nominees for the 2007 MTV VMAs! Beyonce & JT tied for the most with eight nods each including both scoring one in the new Quadruple Threat category. Kanye and Rihanna both pulled in five noms while Amy Winehouse walked away with three. Check out the full list of nominees here. You can even vote for who you think should win Best New Artist. Performers for the September 9th show so far include Timberlake, Kanye, Rihanna, Winehouse, Timbaland, Fall Out Boy, Chris Brown, the Foo Fighters and Lily Allen. I'm no psychic, but I have feeling this is going to be a showdown between Umbrella-ella-ella and Irreplaceable (to the left, to the left...). I still can't decide which one I love more.

Live Earth Rocks The World on 7/7/07

Live Earth went down on Saturday and boy did the stars come out for the big event. Concert venues ranged from London to South Africa, Tokyo to New York and everywhere in between (including Antarctica, at which a few of the resident scientists performed), raising awareness about global warming. Eco-friendly stars like Cameron & Leo (looking very hot, btw) made cameos as well as some new faces on the environmental scene. Obviously the festival itself had a considerable impact on the environment (putting it lightly), but hopefully it turned some heads in the meantime. It sounded like not too many of you were planning on tuning in, but did anyone actually watch? Stand out performances?
