Kate and Matt Try to Fool the UK

Fool's Gold came and went pretty quickly stateside back in February, but Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey were reunited once again for a premiere in London today. Kate was gorgeous from the neck up, but a little lost in that fabric from her crazy green mermaid dress. Luckily we can count on MM to serve as simple eye candy - even if he looks a little wax-figurish. Though we didn't exactly love the film, we always love the opportunity to see these two beautiful people getting playful on the red, or more appropriately for a beach movie, blue carpet.

Sugar Bits - Writers Vote on Contract, Some Return to Work

As the Writers Guild votes on the new agreement reached with Hollywood producers, some of the striking writers with producing responsibilities are back at work today, while (pending approval of the contract) everyone else should resume work Wednesday. Kate Hudson Goes For (Fool's) Gold on Letterman

If you think that Kate Hudson's coat on her way into Letterman yesterday afternoon lives up to the title of her new movie Fool's Gold, you gotta check out the hot little number she wore for her interview. Gold standard. On the show she talked a little about her movie and even more about her first trip to the Super Bowl last weekend as a guest of Patriots' owner Bob Kraft. She said that a woman's QB of choice says a lot about her taste in men, which I think holds true unless you have a home team whose allegiance wins over. As for the movie itself, my review for Buzz makes it pretty clear that I wasn't the biggest fan, but I still love me some Kate and Matt.

Matthew and Kate Parade Around Their Fool's Gold

Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson are spreading the interview love in NYC this week - together on TRL yesterday and Kate stopping by The Today Show this morning. On Monday, MM taped Letterman, and last night we got to see his interview (even Matt slipped up on the Monday taping/Tuesday airing thing at one point). Of course, he talked baby, baby, baby and walking around with no shirt. He was charming as usual - check out the video after the jump. On Today Kate talked more about her chemistry with Matt and what it was like to be at the Super Bowl over the weekend - that video is below, too. I saw Fool's Gold last night and while I'll reserve my real review for Buzz, I'll just say that there should be so much more cuteness in the Hudson/McConaughey duo than the movie shows.

While I love Kate in romantic comedies, I was also excited to hear the news that she just signed on to star in Big Eyes, a movie about the artist Margaret Keane (who paints those kids with the big ol' eyes). Matthew McConaughey Is Already Thinking For Two

Kate Hudson ditched her blue dress for a more comfortable pantsuit after the premiere of Fool's Gold in LA last night, but kept on her pretty and dramatic eye makeup for the party. She and Matthew were showing off that friendly flirtation we love so much, but he was more into opening up about how much he's enjoying his relationship with Camila and their little baby already. He said,

"I am a happy man, thank you. Already, even with Camila just being pregnant now, the parenthood is begun. There is already a slight shift in the thoughts, the way I think about the future, and it has more of a 'we' to it instead of just a 'me.' That feels good, it's fine, and it hasn't really changed my point of view. It's just encompassed a little more quality."

In fact, MM says he is so happy with his current situation that he and Camila have no plans for marriage right now. Guess Matthew's mom has her work cut out for her.

Kate and Matt Fool LA With Their Gold Premiere

While Fool's Gold looks a little iffy, there's no question how much we love the movie's two leads, Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey, who were both out in LA last night for the premiere. Kate was apparently too chilly (and frilly) to lose the coat while MM had Camila, who doesn't look to be showing much yet, on his arm. We heard a little of Kate gush about Matt becoming a dad, and MM's pretty excited himself for his new little buddy. He said, "Make no doubt about it. My kid will dance. He will be on the beach and he will be taking hikes with a wild bandana on." No surprises there. I love his little outdoors baby already. Fun fact about Miss Alves, she's not just a model, but she and her mom also apparently design (cough::heinous::cough) bags! Here's to hoping that even if this film is no How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days (maybe it's great!) cute cute Kate and Matty will be making movies together for years to come.

Kate's New Movie Looks a Little Foolish

Kate Hudson was spotted in yet another stylish, gray coat after catching a performance by Stevie Wonder in London last night. She took a little break from making movies after You, Me and Dupree back in 2006, but soon she'll be hitting up the likes of TRL and lots of red carpets to promote her Fool's Gold with Matthew McConaughey. After seeing these two working and laughing together again in Australia, we were psyched to get a glimpse of their romantic comedy. Unfortunately, after watching the trailer, we have a feeling that the new film is not quite on the same level as How to Lose a Guys in 10 Days. Matthew Hangs Loose with Kate and Kelly

Matthew and Kate took some time away from shooting Fool's Gold to hang out with Cameron's buddy Kelly Slater at the Quicksilver Pro over the weekend. Kate may be back with Owen, but that doesn't mean she can't make time for hot bare-chested friends. Matt wasn't just at the event for pleasure, though; he was also doing research for a new surf film he's doing. Here's more:

I'm learning to surf," said McConaughey, who lived in Australia for a year as a Rotary exchange student in the late 1980s.

And McConaughey said he wasn't just visiting the season-opening world surfing contest for pleasure. "The next film I'm doing is a surf film," he revealed. "A lot of this is for leisure and pleasure but also looking around and keeping an eye open for what happens and what goes on in the tournaments."

It's no secret that MM loves to surf, so it's funny that he still considers himself an amateur considering all those hours he spends on the beach.

Matthew's Thunder From Down Under

Well, this is certainly the cleanest we've seen Matthew McConaughey in a while. (Swimming in the ocean kinda counts as clean, right? Kinda?) I mean, at least he's not covered in sweat/random girl. He seems to still be really enjoying his time in Australia filming Fool's Gold, and I'm certainly not complaining. Plus, he's wearing rad neon 90s reminiscent board shorts. So there's always that. I mean, seriously though, say what you will about his hygiene -- the man can do Hot Men Of Surfing '07 Calendar style with ease.
