I wanna see "friends the movie", but if I'll like it that's an whole other story

I'm always apprehensive about making a movie out of a popular tv show so of course I'm going to be skeptical at first. However, I really liked the Sex and the City movie, so we'll see what happens.

Friends had their time but that was then, and now the world has moved on. This is one movie I can happily live without.

I think if this was made into a movie, it would be bigger than SATC. Muuuch bigger.

I could see Courtney Cox more desperate since her Dirt hasn't been doing well.

Okay if Jen A. does this, she will get SO much flack for being desperate. Not saying she would be, just saying that certain fans of a superstar couple (no I will not name names, you'll just have to wonder) will be ALL over it.

This is still one of my favorite shows EVERRRRR...but I'm not too sure it would be amazing. It might not transfer well onto the big screen, but you can bet your ass I'll still be there !

i wasn't a huge fan of the show- but i could see that if the story was good enough then the real die hard fans would be into it.

the only reason SATC worked was because it was not on primetime television first but on HBO. there were more sexual liberties taken with that show. that translated well with the big screen not to mention the fashion side of that show.

two hours of friends on the big screen would be a snoozer indeed. i agree a prime time special would be a much better approach.

I'll pass on the movie version, even though I have probably seen every episode on tv ten times over. I'd rather remember the show as being great in it's day. For me, it all boils down to moving on.

YES!!! Friends is still my favorite show and I would love to the cast reunited again, no matter what the circumstances might be. I doubt that this will happen though because a lot of the cast doesn't seem interested in returning to their roles.

I do think i would want some serious cursing and a couple hot sex scenes- otherwise whats the point?! Am I right? Am I right? I'm I right?

no one loves friends as much as i do, no really i've seen everyone way too many times, BUT i dont see what the plot could possibly be.....

If they did it like the seasons, 1 to 4 kind of humour then i think it would be fantastic, i think they were the best written seasons...

the plot would tell us all what happend with monica and candlers babies and rachel in paris and like.. so many things. i would so see it. people were sketchy about the s&tc movie, and it got bad reviews, aand still did very well. this would probably be on that same track

And I would just like to respond to some of you who said that Jennifer A would be "desperate" if she did it??? really now?? How did you ever come to that conclusion?? Is she lacking work?? cuz last time I checked she has 3 movies coming out before the end of the year...and how would you ever be deemed desperate going back to somethin that ave you your status to begin with. that show made them all stars...and there would be nothing wrong with any of the actors paying homage to that success if there was a movie idea on the table.

I suspect some of you will just use any post to jab a cheap comment at Jen A without really having anything valid to say. Next time, just spare us will you?

No. Its all too much. A sex and the city movie makes sense. It is the type of show that works as a movie. But friends is a comedy with a live audience. It would be awful and disappointing as a movie. It's just not that type of show.
