London Gives Will Smith a Warm Welcome

Will Smith and the promotional train for Seven Pounds kept on chugging at the London premiere last night before he stopped by a studio today. With such a large group of excited fans and his name in huge lights, it's no wonder Will looked happy as can be on stage. As he continues to flash his grin around the world, his son's rumored Karate Kid remake is getting more buzz now that Jackie Chan has supposedly signed on in Mr. Miyagi's role. There's already been a bit of friendly competition in the Smith household, but it might be a few more years before Jaden is touring the world like his dad.

Will Smith Keeps Many Pounds of Cash Flowing In

Will Smith hammed it up with his costar Rosario Dawson on the red carpet at the Seven Pounds Paris premiere yesterday. His newest movie may not be his biggest hit, but Will still generated the most box office revenue of any actor in 2008. Will has lots of reasons for his ear-to-ear grin as he begins a new year of churning out movies and passing down the talent of creating box office gold to his kids.

Will Smith Wants Permission to Make-Out With Cameron

Will Smith may not have come home a winner at last night's Golden Globes, but he certainly didn't seem too worried about it while hamming it up with his Pursuit of Happyness costars in Rome over the weekend. Inside, though, Will is more full of Saddyness, and for good reason. Here's more:

"Smith, one of the world’s most bankable stars, appears mostly opposite black or Latino women,” noted U.K. writer Leslie O’Toole. “He once confided to me that he’d love to make a romantic comedy with Cameron Diaz but feared that his audience wouldn’t accept it.”

“It’s a shame, but it is what it is,” Thandie Newton, his co-star in “The Pursuit of Happyness” lamented. “I think if it was done in the right way, where race wouldn’t be an issue, it would be great. But you can’t bend people’s minds too quickly.”

It's an unfortunate truth that interracial couples are still very much shied away from in Hollywood. Quotes like these remind us that there's still a long way to go to achieve racial equality in America. Seriously, how could you deny the preciousness (not a word, we know, just go with it) of a beautiful pairing like Heidi and Seal? What do you guys think?

The Pursuit of Happyness was a Family Affair

The Pursuit of Happyness has been a family bonding experience for the Smith family. Will stars alongside his adorable son Jaden and proud mother Jada has joined them on their promotional tour. We're excited to see the movie this weekend, but it turns out Will really doesn't care if the film does well at the box office. He's just proud that he grew as an actor on the film and got to spend so much time with Jaden. Here's more:

“What it taught me - it’s interesting on camera and off with Jaden - is that the bottom line is time,” the 38-year-old Philadelphia native said. “The amount of time you spend with your child. If it’s in the bathroom or like Chris Gardner said on ‘Oprah,’ in a million-dollar home, it’s the time. And Jaden and I got to spend every single day, 10 to 12 hours a day together working on this film. It became clear that whatever you have to offer financially doesn’t matter. Whatever situation you’re in, it doesn’t matter. You have to be there. You have to be with your child. To be able to spend that many hours a day together, our bond took off in a way that I never imagined.”

“I was struggling with a scene and [director] Gabriele Muccino would come and give me notes,” Smith said. “Every time Gabriele would give me notes and wouldn’t give any to Jaden; Jaden took that as him winning [laughs]! He would look at me like I got a note and he didn’t.

Jim & Cameron Reunited

Jim Carrey may be getting serious with Jenny McCarthy, but he will team up with another blond real soon. Well, I guess she is technically brown right now, but Jim is set to share the big screen with Cameron Diaz... again. The two haven't worked together since The Mask, and this time around they will make a romantic comedy together. The film called A Little Game will begin filming next month in NYC. Here's more:

Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz are set to star in "A Little Game," a romantic comedy to be directed by Gabriele Muccino for Focus Features.
Carrey and Diaz will play an engaged Manhattan couple who devise an experiment to see how their friends feel about the relationship. They discover their friends believe them to be a poor match, and there are consequences.
