Kate Moss and Lily Allen had each other for support at last night's GQ Men of the Year Awards in London. The good friends posed for the cameras, though Kate also had Jamie Hince as her date for the evening following a busy few days together. Guy Ritchie and Eva Mendes chatted at their side-by-side seats, while Freida Pinto was without her boyfriend Dev Patel after spending their weekend side-by-side.
The Sherlock Holmes Cast Investigates More Without Brad Pitt
Robert Downey Jr. and Rachel McAdams were both in suspenders earlier today as they reported back to the London set of Sherlock Holmes. Jude Law was also on hand to continue work on the film, after studio bosses requested that additional scenes be added. These late changes will not, however, affect the release date of the film which is still slated to come out at the end of this year.
Harry Potter Draws a Royal Crowd For the London Premiere
The cast of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince braved the London rain for their premiere yesterday. Helen Bonham Carter showed off her castle purse, though Emma Watson stole the show in her gorgeous gown. As avid fans of all ages — including Guy Ritchie and Rocco — were treated to one of the movie's first showings, here in the states we'll have to wait until next week to check out the latest installment of the franchise.
Mercy Fits Right Into Madonna and Guy's London Life
Madonna gave her daughter Mercy a piggyback ride out of London's Kabbalah center on Saturday. Mercy already had a little red string on her wrist for services with her new siblings and Guy Ritchie after a week of fun times with their family. As she gets used to life with Madonna, her grandmother back in Malawi has spoken out about missing her.
Madonna's Mercy Joins Her New Family in London
Mercy arrived in London from Malawi via private jet just in time to join her family for Kabbalah services on Saturday in London. Even Guy Ritchie helped welcome Madonna's new addition before taking Rocco and David for the weekend. Mercy looked adorable in her pink dress outside of Madonna's apartment yesterday morning, though she's understandably a little confused by all of the attention.
Kate Moss Turns It Up to 11 on Charity Stage in London
Kate Moss hit the stage with panache last night as she performed for the crowd at the Hoping's Got Talent fundraiser in London. The supermodel was decked out in black as she headed home after vacation in Nice with Jamie Hince and Lily Allen yesterday, well rested before writhing on stage accompanied by Pink Floyd guitarist Dave Gilmour. Her man Jamie Hince also showcased his talents while Lily Allen sang.
Madonna and Kids Return to England and Supportive Guy
Madonna and her children left Malawi yesterday and touched down in Heathrow, where they were greeted by Guy Ritchie. David Banda carried his new toy guitar as dad lifted him up and carried him to the awaiting helicopter. On Friday after Madonna's adoption request was denied, Guy issued a statement saying he "fully supported" Madonna's attempts at adopting Mercy, was "saddened" at the rejection, and described her as a "fantastic and loving mother."
Madonna Gets the Kids and Jesus
Madonna and Guy Ritchie spent a lot of time praying at the Kabbalah center in NYC this weekend. They were spotted twice heading to the center among the news that Madonna has won custody of Rocco and David. The case is still being finalized but Madonna will be bringing the boys to NYC for school and they will divide their time between her and Guy.
RDJ Googles Himself and Loves Making Blockbusters
Robert Downey Jr. and Guy Ritchie looked very chummy on the set of Sherlock Holmes in Brooklyn yesterday. It was a big day for RDJ getting an Oscar nomination for Tropic Thunder about which he said, "It just shows you how far everyone in entertainment and politics has come." Robert also recently sat down with some fellow nominees for Newsweek's annual roundtable discussion.
