It's one thing to be a gym rat - it's another to be Heidi Montag. The reality star was recently quoted in Us Weekly as saying she worked out over 14 hours a day for eight weeks in order to get bikini-ready for a pool party, which she attended over the weekend. "I've been working out from, like, 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. for two months now. I've been working out really hard because I had this pool party and I was, like, I have to be in shape," she said.

Heidi (here, seen about a month ago on the left and at the pool party on the right) said she worked out so hard because she was overweight, and she supposedly ended up shedding 27 pounds from her once-130-pound frame because of her dedication to running and lifting weights. "I was actually a lot overweight," she said. "It was the most I've ever been because I've kind of been in hiding eating pie with my husband and puppies, so I needed to get back in shape."

It sounds like Heidi had to keep her social card empty in order to fit in all that exercise! While her extreme case isn't the healthiest - overexercising can lead to exhaustion, depression, and injuries, and it can be a sign of a bigger problem, like body-image issues - some people can't get enough of an active lifestyle and make sure to schedule around any sweat sessions. Heidi Montag Gets Back to Bikini Photo Shoots and Strikes a Pose in Vegas

Heidi Montag hosted a pool party at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Saturday. She wore a sexy bikini for the event, where she posed for pictures with a giant beach ball and got playful with a bottle of champagne and a basket of fruit. Spencer Pratt was also on hand for the festivities, though he let Heidi have the spotlight. Heidi met up with fellow blonde Crystal Harris, who called off her marriage to Hugh Hefner earlier this week. Crystal celebrated in the sun on what would have been her wedding day while Hef screened the movie Runaway Bride at the Playboy Mansion with friends.

Heidi Montag Releases New Song "Heartbeat" - Hit the Dance Floor or Leave the Club?

One year after her dramatic plastic surgery makeover, Heidi Montag is back to focusing on her music. She released a new track called "Heartbeat" this week, and celebrated with a strawberry bellini. It's her latest try at a recording career, though you didn't especially love her 2009 singles "More Is More" or "Look How I'm Doin'". The release is, however, just in time to coincide with the release of Just Go With It, in which Heidi has a small cameo.

Interestingly, her husband, Spencer Pratt, also has a new track out, "Go to Work," but his is more of a rap than dance tune. Take a listen to Heidi's latest efforts and tell us what you think of it - does "Heartbeat" make you want to hit the dance floor or leave the club?
