Jimmy Fallon sang and danced as host of the Emmys in LA last night, and the fun kept coming for him and his wife, Nancy Juvonen, as they moved on to the Governor's Ball with other winners, nominees, and presenters. Mad Men's Jon Hamm raised a glass to his show nabbing its third consecutive best outstanding drama series award - do you agree with its win? New mom Amy Poehler stuck close to Tina Fey, while Kevin Bacon couldn't take his eyes off his lovely wife and best actress in a drama honoree, Kyra Sedgwick. Lost's Michael Emerson chatted with costars Daniel Dae Kim and Henry Ian Cusick, as The Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev chatted with best supporting actor in a drama Aaron Paul. He totally won Buzz over with his cute press room excitement right after hitting the stage.

January Jones, meanwhile, cuddled up to her special date, Jason Sudeikis, in her show-stopping Versace gown along with Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston. The Glee kids, like Mark Salling, Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison, and Chris Colfer, celebrated Ryan Murphy and Jane Lynch's wins all together. Lost's Desmond Lands on SVU, Brotha!

Lost's Desmond wasn't kidding about seeing him in another life: Henry Ian Cusick is returning to TV this Fall! The actor has just signed on for a role on Law & Order: SVU as a graphic artist who flirts with Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay). I don't know how I feel about watching Des put the moves on anyone other than Penny, but it's nice to see yet another Lost star make a career off the island! One request: please, please let him keep the accent.

First Look: The Dead Like Me Movie

With every episode of Pushing Daisies I watch, the sorrier I get that I missed creator Bryan Fuller's 2003 show Dead Like Me. The Showtime series centered on a sassy grim reaper named George, who's tasked with stealing souls. The black comedy lasted for two seasons and developed a serious fan following in the process.

A straight-to-DVD movie is currently in the works, and now the first trailer has been released. The movie introduces a few new characters, including Cameron Cane (Henry Ian Cusick), the new boss of the reapers. I'm curious to hear what fans of the show think, so check it out below. "Lost" Episode 17: "Catch 22"

This week's "Lost" had all of my favorite attributes of a great episode. We got some insightful Desmond flashbacks, a few love-triangle-turned-love-square scenes, and - best of all - the cliffhanger that left us counting the minutes until next week's episode.

This is the second episode in a month where someone is dead before the opening credits are shown. Call me crazy, but I really like that the writers are willing to kill off anyone at the drop of a hat. Even though Charlie ends up pulling through, it keeps things interesting.
Major episode themes: sacrifice and faith. Desmond has to learn the value of sacrifice in the monastery when he gives the vow of silence. He also sacrificed his marriage to become a monk and obviously wrestles with the idea of sacrificing Charlie for Penny. It's interesting that Desmond references the story of Isaac and Abraham in terms of sacrifice. Was Desmond's vision a test of his faith in Penny? In the end, he does the right thing by saving Charlie and isn't punished for it.
It may not have been a big revelation, but I'm glad we finally know where Desmond got that whole "brother" thing from.
Sawyer's one-liners about mix tapes and afternoon delight were great. I especially loved the reference to Bernard considering we've heard nothing about him or Rose since last season.
Catch-22 theme: If Desmond lets Charlie die, he loses. If he misses Penny, he loses.
Funniest moments: Jin's ghost story and when Sawyer asked if Jack and Juliet were arguing over who was their favorite Other.
I'm still amazed at the fact that there are so many places in the jungle that the Losties haven't explored yet. Seriously, what do they do all day?
The photograph in the abbey of Brother Campbell also has Mrs. Hawking, the lady who originally told Desmond that he can't control the future. Wonder if that means something or is just a fun little connection?
I have so many questions about the woman who fell out of the helicopter (?) I don't even know where to begin. Can't wait to find out more about this one.
Major episode theme: fate. Desmond is constantly struggling to figure out what to do next, but the next step always seems to find him, and everything works out for a reason (e.g. He gets fired from being a monk, which he thought was his calling, but it leads him to Penny). This is, of course, also a huge theme of the show in general, but it seems to take a particular toll on Desmond because of his visions.

"Moriah Vineyards" is an anagram of both "harmed visionary" and "diversionary ham."

The copy of Catch-22 found in the jungle was titled in Portuguese (Ardil-22), the same language the men were speaking in the listening station at the end of the season 2 finale, "Live Together, Die Alone". The word "ardil" literally translates into American English as a trick or a scheme.

The events of this week's episode definitely give the rest of the season some serious potential to be spectacular. I'm hoping that this mysterious parachute women, Charlie's fate, Locke's dad (dying to know about this one), and Juliet's evil plan will all fit together nicely like the "jigsaw puzzle" pieces of Desmond's flashbacks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the "Lost" writers don't let me down on this one. Photos copyright 2007 ABC

World Festival: Hawaii's Fashion Week

Daniel Dae Kim and Henry Ian Cusick of Lost made time to stop by Sunday night's Gala event for World Festival: Hawaii's Fashion Week. There they met up with Gabrielle Union, Jasmine Trias of American Idol, and Steve Kemble of Us Weekly's Fashion Police. The World Festival takes place every year at the Ala Moana Center where upscale retailers like Dior and Louis Vuitton unveiled new collections, some exclusively for Hawaii. No wonder the Lost boys showed up! Take a good look because this may be one of the last pics you see of them for awhile. After tonight, Lost is going on a 13 week hiatus. Boo.

Pilot Scoop: Scandal

With ABC's midseason drama Scandal, Shonda Rimes, the mastermind behind Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice, moves out of the hospital and into Washington DC. Kerry Washington heads up a team of consultants who specialize in defusing political scandals, and if you're wondering if the new show will be juicy enough to make room for on your DVR, I've got a few opinions that may help you.

What it's about: Washington plays Olivia Pope, a brilliant and ambitious political "fixer" who runs her own firm to clean up PR messes. Though she relies on her gut and is incredibly successful helping others, her personal life is kind of a mess. Columbus Short and Lost's Henry Ian Cusick also star as part of her team.
Where it works: Lost fans will be happy to see Cusick as a dapper consultant (and on safe, dry land). Washington is also a beautiful asset as the leading lady, and there seem to be a lot of complicated relationships just under the surface.
Where it doesn't: While Olivia's interesting relationship with the fictional president (Tony Goldwyn) is certainly scandalous, her chemistry with Goldwyn leaves something to be desired.
You might like this show if: You watch Grey's Anatomy but have never particularly loved the medical setting.
When it's on: Thursdays at 10 p.m. on ABC, starting April 5

Shonda Rhimes Talks About Bringing Scandal to TV With Kerry Washington

If you're a fan of Grey's Anatomy, you might be interested in creator Shonda Rhimes's new midseason show Scandal. Though there are no medical mysteries to be solved on the show, there are plenty of juicy PR nightmares. The drama follows the work of a political "fixer" played by Kerry Washington, who leads a team that includes Lost alum Henry Ian Cusick. The stars of the show and Rhimes visited the Winter TCA to talk about the inspiration for the series and whether it bears any similarities to Rhimes's other shows.

Shonda Rhimes talked about the show's inception, which involved executive producer Betsy Beers telling her to meet Judy Smith, a real-life fixer (she represented Monica Lewinsky during the Clinton scandal). Rhimes said she could envision a show around a character like her, and Scandal was born. Smith is now also an executive producer on the show.
Washington addressed the fact that Olivia is a character you both love and hate, saying, "I really love playing a complicated woman," but she says that she's "always looking for the good in the character." Washington defended Olivia's imperfections by saying that "the reality is that we are all flawed. There's not a single perfect human being alive."
Rhimes, who created Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice, addressed the fact that this show is not medical-themed, but added, "I love my shows that have stethoscopes in them. This is just a different story." But unlike those shows, Rhimes clarified that this is not a show about relationships. "It's not romance-y . . . there's no Mer-Der."

ABC Pilots: Get the Scoop on the New Shows

Upfronts madness has officially set in, and the networks have been going crazy making their announcements about which shows are getting the ax and which pilots are a go for next season. ABC has pulled the plug on Brothers & Sisters and a few more, but what's coming next Fall? I've got the scoop on the new crop, which includes plenty of familiar faces like Kristin Chenoweth, Tim Allen, and more, so start getting to know ABC's new lineup now!

COMEDY

Suburgatory: A family sitcom set in - wait for it - the suburbs. A father (Dodgeball's Alan Tudyk) uproots his daughter from Manhattan for a more provincial life in the 'burbs.
Work It: Follows two guys who dress up like women for better jobs after they're laid off.
Man Up: Focuses on a group of guys coming to terms with being middle-aged men.
Apt. 23: Krysten Ritter plays an NYC party girl who clashes with her new good-girl roommate from the Midwest. James Van Der Beek also stars as himself.
Last Man Standing: Tim Allen returns to TV as a man struggling to hang on to his traditional values in today's world. Nancy Travis will costar as his wife.
