Kirsten Works on How to Lose Friends & Alienate People

Now that the promotion machine that was Spider-Man 3 is over Kirsten can turn her focus to those smaller budget projects that she loves to do. At the moment she's busy shooting How to Lose Friends and Alienate People in London. It's based on Toby Young's memoir that chronicles his failed effort to make it at Vanity Fair. Kirsten plays an editor who has an affair with the lead character, played by Simon Pegg (Hot Fuzz). I enjoyed the book but I am not expecting this film to turn out like The Devil Wears Prada.

Kirsten Spends the Day With Friends She Hasn't Alienated

Kirsten Dunst Smiles Her Way Through Her Testimony

Kirsten Dunst wore all black and a smile as she left the NYC Supreme Court yesterday afternoon. She took the stand to testify about being robbed in 2007, when thieves stole personal items from her hotel room while she was in the city filming How to Lose Friends and Alienate People. Her costar Simon Pegg was also in the courtroom to give a statement about his iPod and digital camera being taken, but the jury's still out as to whether he and Kirsten will see their alleged burglars face justice.

Was It Reasonable For Kirsten to Ban Someone From Her Set?

Kirsten Dunst stepped out in LA last night this week for dinner with friends at Iroha Sushi of Tokyo. She's got How to Lose Friends and Alienate People hitting theaters next month, but apparently Kirsten managed to alienate one person while she was shooting the movie. Toby Young, who wrote the book the film is based on, told The Spectator that Kirsten asked the director to keep Toby off the set after he made what he thought were helpful comments to the director about Kirsten's take on her character. What do you think - was it reasonable for Kirsten to ban someone from her movie set?

The 2009 Spring fashion season came to a close in Paris last night after a whirlwind month of shows in New York, London, and Milan. Lots of stars were out to celebrate, with Emma Watson, Claudia Schiffer, and Naomi Campbell taking in YSL and Chanel while Dita von Teese and Lenny Kravitz checked out Marc Jacobs's newest work at Louis Vuitton. After shopping around the city, Kate Bosworth brought her man James Rousseau to the Miu Miu show last night along with Kirsten Dunst, who is a former face of the brand. Kirsten also made time for some sightseeing, which hopefully kept her mind off the less-than-stellar opening of How to Lose Friends and Alienate People.

Kirsten Dunst topped off her green dress with an apple belt out to lunch and visiting a photo studio in LA yesterday afternoon accompanied by her doggie. Clearly she does not need Justin Long to put a smile on her face, but judging from their long weekend lunch his presence helps. The new romance seems to be putting a spring in Kirsten's step, I just wonder if he'll accompany her for the red carpet premiere of her How To Lose Friends And Alienate People next month . . . if they're still together that is.

Kirsten Dunst was looking cute and casual on the set of All Good Things in NYC yesterday. It's great to see her looking so fresh faced and pretty with her long blond hair, even if we couldn't get a glimpse at Ryan Gosling this time. Kirsten's going to have a busy Summer of filming before getting ready to promote How to Lose Friends and Alienate People come October, so we're happy that things seem to be back on track for the starlet after her trip to rehab.

Mischa Enjoys Cannes, But Lives in Paris

Mischa Barton has gowns galore on hand for her trip to Cannes - she's been quite the red carpet queen for the beginning of the festival. Yesterday she posed with Lily Allen at the GQ Party for How to Lose Friends and Alienate People after the Nosebleed cocktail party. After this, though, it's not back to LA for this starlet - she moved to Paris. She said, "I've just always wanted to move there. I'm enjoying some time off." Considering most of Mischa's post-OC movies have been a bit of a bust, maybe some time off and away is just what she needs.

She has remained relatively low profile since Spider-man 3, but soon she'll be all over the fashion world and red carpet for her latest projects - her Miu Miu campaign and movie How to Lose Friends and Alienate People. Buzz has got a teaser trailer for the anticipated film and while Kirsten doesn't even have any lines in it, we're excited to see this newest take on the Manhattan media world especially since Jeff Bridges looks insanely wonderful as Graydon Carter.
