The Berlin Film Festival kicked off last week, and there have already been plenty of glamorous events. Diane Kruger brought two fashionable looks to the red carpet, while Angelina Jolie promoted In the Land of Blood and Honey with multiple appearances. Brad Pitt even got in on the fun in a Dolce & Gabbana suit at Saturday night's premiere of Angelina's directorial debut. Jake Gyllenhaal Suits Up and Begins Judging the Berlin Film Festival

Jake Gyllenhaal, wearing a Salvatore Ferragamo suit, joined his fellow jurors last night at the opening ceremony for the 62nd annual Berlin Film Festival. Jake touched down in Germany earlier this week and got a warm reception from fans and the festival's director, Dieter Kosslick. The competition officially kicked off yesterday with the world premiere of Diane Kruger's Farewell, My Queen. There are 18 films in the running this year with each hoping to take home the Golden Bear trophy for best feature. In addition to Diane's movie, Jake will also have the opportunity to judge Angelina Jolie's In the Land of Blood and Honey, which is scheduled to premiere tomorrow night.

Jake Gyllenhaal and his fellow members of the jury at the Berlin International Film Festival gathered this morning for a photocall. Before entering the Grand Hyatt, Jake stopped to sign autographs and pose for a few photos. He then linked up with Charlotte Gainsbourg, British director Mike Leigh, and Dutch director Anton Corbijn. Iranian director Asghar Farhadi, German actress Barbara Sukowa, French director François Ozon, and Algerian writer Boualem Sansal round out the group of jurors. Jake and company will decide which of the eighteen films in competition takes home the prestigious Golden Bear Award for best picture. Diane Kruger's Farewell, My Queen is among those in contention, as is Angelina Jolie's In the Land of Blood and Honey.

Jake Gyllenhaal Gets a Warm Welcome in Germany

Jake Gyllenhaal touched down in Germany yesterday and got a warm welcome from fans. He was met inside Tegel airport by Berlin Film Festival's director, Dieter Kosslick, who presented him with a bouquet of fresh flowers. Jake's in town participating in this year's festival and he's been appointed to the competition judging panel. He arrived in Europe late last week and spent a few days in London exploring the city and hanging out with friends. It wasn't an entirely work free visit though, since Jake made a cameo in The Shoes' upcoming music video "Time to Dance." Jake has popped up in music videos in the past, like in 2010 when he played a drunk tennis pro for Vampire Weekend's "Giving Up The Gun".

Jake Gyllenhaal joined a friend for lunch yesterday at LA's Angelini Osteria restaurant. Jake's been spotted all over Hollywood in recent days following his appearance at Sunday's Golden Globes ceremony. He had the honor of presenting best film nominee My Week With Marilyn, which stars his friend, and best actress winner, Michelle Williams.

Jake seems to be enjoying the sunny California weather, but January often sees him bundling up in Utah. He's been a regular among the celebrities at the Sundance Film Festival in years past, having premiered films like Donnie Darko and The Good Girl there. Jake doesn't have movies to screen this year, but his next picture to hit the big screen is cop drama End of Watch with Michael Pena and Anna Kendrick.

Jake Gyllenhaal stopped by Beverly Hills Juice today and picked up four drinks and an organic smoothie to go. He ducked into the bar almost unnoticed, wearing a baseball hat and cargo pants. On Sunday, though, Jake was decked out in his award show finest for the Golden Globe Awards. Jake presented best film nominee My Week With Marilyn, which happens to feature his close friend and Brokeback Mountain costar Michelle Williams.

Jake's been keeping a low profile over the past few months, but his dating life could be in the spotlight again due to his ex Taylor Swift's new Vogue interview. She told the magazine she spent Christmas 2010 crying, which came just after Taylor and Jake's romantic Thanksgiving. The pair split before New Year's Eve of that year and since then they've both moved on. Jake recently wrapped production on his cop drama End of Watch, and Taylor's prepping for the March 3 release of her animated Dr. Seuss tale The Lorax.
