Balthazar and Sienna Have a Thanksgiving Reunion

Sienna Miller met up with Balthazar Getty in London on Thursday, shopped on Friday and got dressed up to walk the red carpet with Keira Knightley at the 2008 British Independent Film Awards last night. Even though Sienna recently said she was happy being single it looks like she's back with Balthazar. They were spotted holding hands around the city, and since Balthazar missed out on spending Thanksgiving with his kids it seems like he might be serious about giving it another try with Sienna. Given her history with men it isn't surprising her relationship with the actor is on-again, although it probably doesn't help her career or please her fans.

Leading Men Suit Up For the Oscars

Do you like looking at handsome actors in pretty suits? Then last night's Oscars must be right up your alley! Yes, it's true, the men for the most part played it safe but there's no way to complain about seeing the likes of Clooney and Dempsey at their most dapper. Yum. Javier Bardem didn't walk with his girlfriend Penelope Cruz, but he looked confident on his way in to win his little gold man. Check out all the winners here! Johnny Depp is always a favorite so he could have shown up in jeans - no complaints. Sure, they may not be as colorful or exciting (or red!) as all the ladies red carpet looks, but with all these men there's gotta be a little manjoyment for everyone here. It's just a question of which one suits (get it?!) your fancy?

Reese, Christina and James' Little Piggy Goes to LA

Reese Witherspoon, Christina Ricci and James McAvoy brought their quirky little movie, Penelope to LA last night. Reese had on her best businesswoman pants and a big smile on her face posing for the cameras as both a star and producer of the project. Check out how to get her cute look here. Hell, she even stopped mid-red carpet to take a phone call (too funny). Amanda Bynes who is never one to miss a chance to show off those stems these days was around in yet another LBD. While this movie didn't appeal to me right off the bat, it's hard to deny the great trio of Christina-James-Reese. Maybe I'll have to check out that pig snout for myself after all.

Stylish Girls and UK Fun

After the formal red-carpet proceedings and all the awards were handed out, the ladies at the Elle Style Awards let loose for the party. Keira snuggled up to her boyfriend - most prominently jawlined (since that's a word) couple ever? Meanwhile Kate Hudson looked like the life of the party with Naomi Campbell and Stella McCartney. Kate and the Brits Get Stylish for The Elle Style Awards

Elle UK added to award season madness last night as they handed out their annual Style Awards. Keira Knightley received some consolation after her loss at the BAFTAs with her win in the Best Actress category, while her Atonement co-star James McAvoy got his second Best Actor award in less than a week. Kylie Minogue was crowned Woman of the Year and Kate Hudson brought Stella McCartney as her date to be officially named an Elle Style Icon. No Country Takes Top Honors in the UK Too

A handful of the UK's finest were at London's Grosvenor House on Friday evening for the Awards of The London Film Critics Circle cocktail party. James McAvoy and Vanessa Redgrave were on hand to represent their Oscar-nominated film Atonement, while others like Sienna Miller simply enjoyed the evening's festivities. No Country For Old Men took home Film of the Year, but James didn't go home empty-handed as he won Best Actor. All of this award-giving is yet another reminder that the Oscars are rapidly approaching - so fill out your Oscar ballot before the big day arrives!

Hollywood Goes Hitchcock For Vanity Fair

The Vanity Fair annual Hollywood Issue photo shoot is especially cool this year as a whole slew of famous actors posed to recreate classic shots from Alfred Hitchcock movies. Some of my personal favorites include Seth Rogan doing North by Northwest Gwyneth Paltrow and Robert Downey Jr. in To Catch A Thief and the Scarlett Johansson/Javier Bardem duo doing Rear Window. Also, doesn't Renee Zellweger look a lot like Meryl Streep posing in Vertigo? Check out some behind the scenes video of all the shoots, so serious. Which shots are your favorites?

Santa Barbara Honors the Year's Film Virtuosos

The Santa Barbara Film Festival is still bringing out the stars. First I marveled at the cavalcade of hot guys - Gosling, Bardem, Reynolds - and last night some of the year's biggest breakout stars all trekked out for the party. It was the 2008 Virtuosos Tribute with Casey Affleck, Amy Ryan, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, and James McAvoy, all awards show staples this season. I'm loving Amy Ryan's blue blue dress and Ellen Page is always adorable - though just a little awkward on the red carpet still. Meanwhile, I've gotta say I'm more of a Casey Affleck girl myself, but between him and Mr. McAvoy, who do you prefer?

Keira and James' Stone Faced Atonement

Keira Knightley and James McAvoy, who have a lot to celebrate now that Atonement picked up the Golden Globe for Best Drama (good sign for those Oscars), recently sat down with W Magazine to chat about their much-hyped film. Keira, who is on many a magazine cover these days, sports lots of Chanel in the photos (perhaps some synergy between her outfits and that Chanel perfume contract) to go with her angry faces. A little scary, no? At least she lightened up in the interview. Here are highlights:

On taking time off: “It got to the point where you just get tired, and then you start to forget what you love about what you do. I wanted to be able to say to my friends, ‘Yes, I will be there for your birthday.’ I was having that discombobulated feeling of being homesick but not knowing what I was homesick for.”
On being a professional: "From a very young age I realized that you didn’t get parts if you acted like a child. So even at seven I remember picking a way to behave, a way that worked. Though in my personal life I don’t think I’m particularly mature. I don’t particularly want to be mature!”

On public rumors about her weight: “It’s like having piles of s--- put on your head. As a teenager you put enough on yourself. You’re a spotty emotional wreck whose body is changing, and you’re just not equipped to deal with that sort of thing.”
On awards season: “If the film gets awards or anything, great, but if it doesn’t, it certainly doesn’t devalue the project."
On being nominated for Pride and Prejudice: “It was great fun, and it was partly great fun because I was absolutely certain that I wasn’t going to win, so it was just sort of going along for a jolly.”

After Atonement's rave reviews and Golden Globe, Keira's chances may be better this time around. At the very least she should be up bright and early on January 22, when the nominations for the Oscars are announced.

The fresh faces of 2007 came out last night for the seventh annual Hollywood Life Breakthrough of the Year Awards in LA. Donald Faison hosted the event that honored stars who made their mark on Hollywood in the past year. Megan Fox, Emile Hirsch, James McAvoy, and Masi Oka were among the honorees while Paul Rudd and Josh Duhamel provided plenty of manjoyment behind the podium as presenters. Award season is officially upon us and we can't help but wonder whether or not any of these new kids on the block are going to follow in Jennifer Hudson's footsteps.
