Eva Has Plenty of Besos To Go Around

Even though Tony couldn't be there, Eva Longoria Parker had plenty of love from her friends last night at the launch party for her new restaurant Beso in LA. Some of Wisteria Lane's finest Desperate Housewives came out to celebrate, and Bella wants to know how you feel about Nicollette Sheridan's red lipstick. Eva was looking very smiley in her summery white dress, but she did admit that she wasn't feeling one hundred percent calm, saying,

"Everything is painted, every candle is lit, every glass has arrived. So we’re not like, 'The chairs are not in!' So far there has not been a catastrophic emergency happening. So I am very excited. I'm a little nervous too. But at least I don’t have to cook."

Even if Eva had to handle the kitchen, she's never been shy about discussing her cooking skills. Speaking of which, Yum's got the recipe for Eva's tortilla soup so you can have a little Eva in your kitchen even if you can't make it to Beso just yet.

Handsome SAG Men Played It Safe and Full of Smiles

Ryan Gosling was just about the only guy keeping it interesting with his fashion choice at last night's SAG Awards in LA. Along with his shimmery suit, plaid shirt and lack of tie, he wore a black ribbon on his lapel in honor of Heath Ledger. The rest of the men went pretty traditional, but at least all those handsome faces were there to keep us satisfied. Highlights (other than Gosling) included some not-frequently-seen-enough favorites like Casey Affleck, John Krasinski and Javier Bardem. Josh Brolin took a chance on cleanliness (heh) and planted a wet one on Jeremy Piven's cheek while Footloose stars old and new Kevin Bacon and Zac Efron posed together - cute, huh? Any men red carpet favorites last night? How do you feel about Brad Pitt's highlights with that salt and pepper goatee? Pretty special. Vegas Heats Up With Yet Another Celebrity Hot Spot

Las Vegas got a little bit shinier last night with the opening of Barneys at The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino. A slew of celebrities came out for the festivities, no doubt some of them stopping there on their way to colder climates at Sundance. Fab's got the info on Christina Ricci's cute navy number while Mandy Moore kept it sexy in black. Jason Lewis took a break from still filming Sex and the City to party in Sin City. As usual, Rebecca Romijn looked sunny and adorable. Sometimes when I look at gorgeous Rebecca I can't not think about her Ugly Betty character, heh - check out my recap of last night's episode here.

Carrie and Kenny Shine at the Country Music Awards

We already checked out all the red carpet looks and now it's time to get down to the show at last night's Country Music Awards in Nashville. The big winners of the night were Carrie Underwood, who won Female Vocalist of the Year for the second year in a row and Single of the Year for "Before He Cheats," and for the guys Kenny Chesney who won Entertainer of the Year, and Brad Paisley, Male Vocalist of the Year. Check out the full list of winners here. An unexpected highlight for me was Kellie Pickler who got pretty emotional during her song, and on a random note Jamie Foxx's appearance. Meanwhile, I was expecting a whole lot of Jessica Simpson all over the CMAs and she was apparently in the auditorium, but kept herself out of the spotlight - she's more serious about country music than another photo op. Ha. Did any of you watch the show? Favorite moments? Shockers?

A Little Bit Country a Lot Glam on the CMA Red Carpet

It was jeans for some (Kid Rock, of course) and gowns for others at last night's 41st Annual Country Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee. Nicole Kidman definitely brought the most bang to the red carpet in her bold dress - sure it looks a little like one of those cheesy college dorm felt-y posters, but it's not like she can't pull it off. Carrie Underwood looked typically great while fellow former Idol-er Kellie Picker looked surprisingly demure for her. I must admit that Kate Walsh looked pretty smokin', finding a way to be on our ABC Wednesday night even when Private Practice was preempted for these awards. Teri's Not Desperate For Party Companions

Last night it was all about Teri Hatcher at the party celebrating her new Badgley Mischka campaign in West Hollywood. I'm certainly no Teri fan (though I think she's a big enough fan of herself for the both of us), but it's fun to see her costars Felicity Huffman and new on screen hubby James Denton by her side. Stacy Keibler loves a good party as does Brittany Snow, who looked cute, but a little more reserved than this weekend's HOT FUCHSIA number. Mr. Malakar Goes To Washington

Sanjaya Malakar may have been voted off American Idol last week, but it doesn't look like we're free of him just yet. The teenager was selected by People Magazine to attend the White House Correspondents' Dinner, along with lots of celebs and politicians. The event had a less comical tone than usual due to the VA Tech tragedy, but Sanjaya still got his first taste of fame, rubbing elbows with the likes of Teri Hatcher and Petra Nemcova. Here's more:

The mild-mannered Malakar, meanwhile, told PEOPLE he's just trying to take it all in. "It's been really a whirlwind. I've just been trying to ride the wave and go one day at a time," said Malakar, wearing a dark pinstriped suit and highlighted, loose curls.

The swooning fans made him "a little uncomfortable," he admitted. But it's attention he may have to get used to as he sets his sights on a future beyond music. "I want to go into acting or modeling, maybe Broadway," said the former Idol, who thinks doing a hair commercial "Would be awesome!"

We were happy to see Sanjaya get the boot from AI, but it's good to see that he's stopped crying and is seeing Idol as a positive experience. Plus, Jennifer Hudson and Chris Daughtry still made it big without the big win, so you never know (but please say it isn't so).

Stars Show Off Their Domino Skills For the Art of Elysium

Last night, Hollywood took its obsession with playing dominos to a new level at a benefit tournament for the Art of Elysium at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Ashton and Demi partied away (despite the hepatitis scare) with the help of Rumer, who actually looked very glamorous out on the red carpet with her mom and stepdad. Kate Hudson was glowing in gold and, despite what the media (and many of you) think, wasn't showing any signs of a baby bump. New mom Salma made another night of it away from her precious Valentina, but she did offer congratulations to her friend J Lo, saying, "I'm sure she'll be a wonderful mom." It's probably only a matter of time before J Lo's twins are challenging Salma's little girl to their own games of dominos.

FiFi's Fragrances Attract the PYTs

We're sad to see our favorite TV shows head to hiatus for another Summer, but luckily the stars of the small screen are still coming out to play in Hollywood. Last night Alyson Hannigan, Minka Kelly, and Taylor Momsen got dolled up for the 36th Annual FiFi Awards in NYC. The ladies helped honor the night's big winners, which included Daisy Marc Jacobs and Intimately Beckham Women. We can see that they looked gorgeous in their springtime dresses, and something tells us that the lovely ladies smelled just as sweet.
