NPH Entertains an Exuberant Crowd at the Tonys
Neil Patrick Harris donned a shiny tux and a big smile, hosting the Tony Awards last night at Radio City Music Hall in NYC. Broadway veteran John Stamos and newcomer Anne Hathaway were among the stars who stepped out to present awards. Dolly Parton, Stockard Channing and Elton John took the stage, as well as Bret Michaels who injured himself during the big opening number.

The Emmys brought out some gorgeous gowns to the red carpet on Sunday, but a few stars got equally fancy for the Metropolitan Opera 125th Season Opening Night Gala in NYC last night. Helena Christensen and Christie Brinkley showed they haven't lost any of their model beauty, while Parker Posey went a little funkier with her big bow. Jenny Humphrey was being bullied at school on last night's episode of Gossip Girl, but in real life Taylor Momsen was looking very grown up and almost unrecognizable in her dramatic red ruffles.

Lindsay, Jane and Felicity were out last night to celebrate the long-awaited, at least in these circles, premiere of Georgia Rule in NYC. And Heee-eeeeyy! It looks like the ladies coordinated their outfits so they were tripsies!

Some all-star women actresses came together in LA last night for ELLE Magazine's 15th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute. Nicole Kidman, Isla Fisher and Halle Berry were among the honorees of the night, though Salma Hayek didn't make the event after her weekend overseas. While over in LA starlets got sloppy at a club named Opera, in NYC celebrities were out for the opening of the Met's 2007-2008 opera season, starting last night with Lucia di Lammermoor. Mary Louise Parker took a break from her new baby to attend the cultural event alongside Blythe Danner and Willem Dafoe. As usual, MLP looked beautiful, happy and demure (which is more than I can say for her character's behavior on last night's episode of Weeds - yowza).
Weekend Box Office
It's hard to say who will win this weekend at the box office. Defamer predicts Will Ferrell's Kicking and Screaming will beat J.Lo/J.Fo's Monster-In-Law by about $6M. Box Office Mojo says its the other way around and I have to agree as much as people like the goofy humor of Will Farrell (Elf did shockingly well), I think Jane Fonda’s return to the big screen will get the baby boomers off the couch and into the multiplexes this weekend.Link Time!!!

SJP and Ellen Page Are Bright Ladies at Smart People
Surprisingly, Ellen Page was the girly looking one at last night's NYC premiere of Smart People. Sarah Jessica Parker, on the other hand, went a little more rock star with her leggings, leopard print and hot pink. The cute little ladies' costars Dennis Quaid and Thomas Hayden Church were both on hand for the event.
