"I just try not to drink too much or eat too much and I try to stick with an exercise regimen," she said. "The thing about the holiday is that the food's so good and you tend to eat too much, so either you [should] eat less or you work out more."

Jane Fonda, 74, reflected on her eccentric life today on Anderson, telling the host that "you couldn't pay" her to go back to her teens or 20s. She confessed, "It was not so easy for me. For girls, teenage-hood is really hard." The icon admitted that she doesn't miss the pressure she felt while coming of age to be popular or thin. Many stars came out to celebrate President Clinton's 65th birthday last night at The Clinton Foundation's Decade of Difference Gala at LA's Hollywood Palladium. Sticking with a blue and white theme, Jessica Alba stepped out in a sheer blouse paired with a navy skirt while Rachel Zoe wowed in a gown. Modern Family's Sofia Vergara chose a sexy, strapless LBD that complemented her fit figure. It was another date night for Jessica and her husband, Cash Warren, who dined at a table with friends Joel and Benji Madden. Rachel was also joined by her husband, Rodger Berman, but this time they left their well-dressed son, Skyler, at home. The dinner kicked off a weekend full of celebration honoring the former president's philanthropic organization. The events continue tonight with the Decade of Difference concert streaming live around the globe with performances from Usher, Lady Gaga, Kenny Chesney, Juanes and K’Naan, The Edge, and Bono.

The All-Time Most Effective Retro Workouts!

We are pumped to share one of our fave stories from Self here on FitSugar!

When we think about retro trends, we generally get a nostalgic twinge for fashion (leg warmers!), hairstyles (teased bangs), TV shows ("Growing Pains" and "Punky Brewster"), and toys (Cabbage Patch Dolls and Shrinky Dinks).

But recently, we read about an up-and-coming health club chain (60 locations and counting) called Retro Fitness, which is totally '80s-themed. Kind of brilliant (they play "Rocky" and "Sixteen Candles" on a big screen in the cardio room). This got us thinking about old-school, leotard-clad workouts.

Here's an homage to our faves (complete with hilarious video) and what you can learn from them:

Buns of Steel: Minimal equipment, mucho rhythmic movement and leg warmers. Oh, yeah, and if you're as bold as host Tamilee Webb, you can wear a belted THONG leotard. "You're seeing more of this calisthenics-style workout coming back into fitness," says Eric Casaburi, founder of Retro Fitness. "It's drills and constantly changing the workouts. Our trainers use this theory a lot to get Retro members the best workout by keeping the body guessing and progressing."

Jane Fonda Announces New, Youthful Fitness Brand

While we were hoping that Jane Fonda's comeback would be a throwback to the days of leotards and legwarmers, she has something else in mind. Today the actress announced via her blog that she'll be launching a series of "exciting new fitness programs of various styles" featuring "the new faces of fitness." And as far as we can tell, there won't be any spandex, headbands, or step aerobics involved.

Jane's new team includes celeb yogini Tara Stiles, Karena and Katrina of Tone It Up, and the president of the Hollywood Trainer, Jeanette Jenkins. Given the talent and expertise of Team Jane, we're wholly expecting to work our butts off under any of the projects these women produce together.

Chace Crawford Just Wants a Little Peace and Love, Man

He may be out of Footloose, but Chace Crawford already has another big-screen project in the works. The Gossip Girl actor has just signed on for the indie film Peace, Love, and Misunderstanding, alongside Catherine Keener and Jane Fonda. Keener will star as Diane, a buttoned-up lawyer who travels with her children to stay with her hippie mother (Fonda) in Woodstock after her husband leaves her; Crawford will play a war-protesting butcher who earns the affection of Diane's daughter.

It looks like Crawford's recent arrest isn't slowing him down, but Woodstock, hippies - perhaps he was just toking up for research?
