Last year Matt Damon and Ben Affleck celebrated their holiday weekend with a BFF family trip to Hawaii, and this year they were back together for a different reason. The Boston boys showed off their skills, along with friends like Adam Sandler and Don Cheadle, at the 2nd annual Ante Up for Africa charity poker tournament in Las Vegas last night. From the looks of those big smiles, they didn't have a problem whether they were losing or winning, it was all for a good cause. We know that the crises overseas are so important to both Matt and Ben, but it's always nice to add a little bit of fun into dedicated philanthropy.

Cowboy Hats and Blonde Ladies Lead the Way at the AACMA

Last night Kenny Chesney was declared the Entertainer of the Year for the fourth year in a row at the 43rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards in Vegas. Garth Brooks was also back in the limelight to receive the first-ever Crystal Milestone Award for his outstanding achievements. Performer Keith Urban didn't need a trophy to make him gush. The father-to-be expressed his excitement showing off Nicole's growing baby bump on the red carpet. Top new female vocalist, Taylor Swift got real wet with a chilling performance of "Should've Said No" where she was singing and dancing while water poured down on her. Winner for best female vocalist Carrie Underwood not only looked gorgeous in her many outfits, but she also showed her chic geeky side playing with the hottest new toy she plays on her tour bus - I gotta get me one of those.

Celebrity Democrats Take Front Seat at the LA Debates

Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton faced off at the Kodak Theater in LA last night at the final Democratic debate before Super Tuesday and some of Hollywood's most famous faces were front and center. Leonardo DiCaprio looked deep in thought deciding between the two Democratic candidates left in the race while Pierce Brosnan and Christina Applegate were happy to pose on the red (blue) carpet. Yes, you read that correctly, there was a red carpet at the debate. Quentin Tarantino and Kerry Washington engaged in a little post-debate schmoozing, no doubt discussing all the issues of the evening. Were you watching last night? Britney Protects Her Assets

Britney celebrated her 25th birthday this weekend with a dinner at Mr. Chow in LA. Poor girl had to ask for a police escort out of the restaurant to protect her from the over 40 paparazzi that were following her every move that night. Britney likes to make sure she is protected and this includes her assets. It turns out that she's even made a threat to her ex-husband (the first one) to watch what he says. He's writing a book about their past relationship that she's not very happy about. Here's more:

Since Brit's split from K-Fed, their exes have come out of the woodwork -- with one claiming that Spears sent him a thinly-veiled threat.

Britney's 55-hour ex-husband Jason Alexander appeared with Fed's baby mama Shar Jackson on "The Dr. Ablow Show," where Alexander revealed that Britney contacted him by leaving a voicemail saying, "Don't say anything you'd regret." We're guessing this is exactly the behavior she was warning against.

Jason is really working hard to keep his name in the headlines. As for Britney, it looks like she had a blast celebrating her birthday. The good news is she seems to have found some underwear, but too bad her dress wasn't long enough to keep us from knowing she was wearing it. Everybody's Talking About Britney

Britney spent more time apart from Paris yesterday to get some of her own personal stuff done. As if people aren't talking about her enough her childhood sweetheart and first ex-husband Jason Alexander is still trying to get in on the action. A book is in the works about their relationship together. One he says "focuses on the stuff that no one knows." He also says a whole lot more like that Brit had a tummy tuck. Oh she's gonna be pissed. Here's highlights:

About the book:
“Britney knows about it. There are things in the book that will upset her. There will be things in the book she will be mad at. It’s all the details of the wedding and all the stuff that’s been going on....It does feature our sex life. It does feature having sex with her and what that was like.”
As for the Britney bisexuality rumors:
“All beautiful girls like other girls in some way. All girls are attracted to other girls. She found other girls attractive, yes, but we never did anything about it."
About her relationship with Paris:
“Paris is a good friend of hers. They both have the same issues. They are both in the spotlight. Britney has to get out there now and be seen to be looking good and so on. She’s doing all that. She’s been locked down for two years.

Fashion Weekend Bursts With Starlets, Famous Fashion Faces!

New York Fashion Week didn't slow down over the weekend, and the front rows were star-studded gearing up for last night's big event, the VMAs. Lindsay Lohan ducked into Alice + Olivia and Shenae Grimes, a sparkly Blake Lively, and Rachel Zoe all scored spots at the Diane von Furstenberg show on Sunday. Mischa stepped out for the Herve Leger show as well as to attend an event for The Beautiful Life. Rachel McAdams sat alongside Anna Wintour at Alexander Wang and posed with Leighton Meester backstage at Altuzarra. With so many big events taking place in New York, the fashionista stars were all over.

Hilary Duff and Amanda Bynes were front and center for the Herve Leger show, which is no big surprise considering how often they, especially Amanda, are seen wearing the ubiquitous bandage dresses. Kirsten Dunst mixed things up at Band of Outsiders, while Hayden Christensen was out without his fiance Rachel Bilson at Lacoste. The Critics Pick Heath, Anne, Milk and Slumdog Millionaire

First the people chose then last night the critics awarded an A-list crowd of actors, writers and directors with their favorites. Jason Alexander opened the event asking Brad and Angelina to adopt him before Ben Stiller took home the first award of the night for Tropic Thunder as the Best Comedy. The most moving moment was when Heath Ledger won and director Chris Nolan accepted his award with a standing ovation from the crowd. Anne Hathaway tied with Meryl Streep for best actress and in her speech she excitedly rambled in a heartfelt way, ending with a part about her father protecting her and proving that there are good, strong, loving men out there. Milk and Slumdog Millionaire were big winners with multiple wins while Richard Gere received the special Joel Siegel award for his offscreen efforts. The Stars Choose to Keep the Party Going

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie decided one red carpet was enough for them last night, but many other celebrities headed to the afterparty once the Critics' Choice Awards were over. Aaron Eckhart looked very happy after Dark Knight scored a few wins, including a moving one for his costar Heath Ledger. Presenters Josh Brolin and Kate Beckinsale cozied up to their spouses, and gorgeous Freida Pinto had a huge smile on her face after Slumdog Millionaire took home five awards including best picture, director, and young actor. The mood of the night was celebratory, but hopefully everyone saved up some of their energy when the party continues this Sunday at the Golden Globes.
