Ed Norton, Wes Anderson, and Tilda Swinton Kick Off Cannes!

The Cannes Film Festival is officially underway! This evening's Moonrise Kingdom will be the first premiere of the week and the cast got together earlier this morning for their photocall. Wes Anderson was surrounded by his cast, including Tilda Swinton, Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, and Ed Norton. The movie actually centers around a love story between two young actors, Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward, who were also on hand for the event.

Much of this crew is like family already, since they've worked together on so many of Wes's movies, and they certainly looked excited to show off their new project in this gorgeous setting. We're on the ground in Cannes, too, bringing you all the action. Moonrise Kingdom Trailer: Bruce Willis and Edward Norton Go Retro in Wes Anderson's Latest

Ever since we heard Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola were teaming up to write a screenplay, we've been patiently waiting for the trailer to present itself. Today, we finally got a taste of what Moonrise Kingdom has in store. And although it's live-action flick, Anderson's latest feels a lot more like Fantastic Mr. Fox than The Royal Tenenbaums. Set in a dreamy 1960s haze, 12-year-olds Suzy and Sam fall in love and plot to run away together deep into the New England forest. (This should prove to be no issue since Sam is a Khaki Scout, and his troop leader is Edward Norton.)

In true Wes Anderson fashion, there's an all-star cast with the usual suspects like Jason Schwartzman and Bill Murray, along with some new names like Tilda Swinton, Bruce Willis, and Frances McDormand. Everything about this trailer is romantic and quirky, sweeping us off to another world, presented in a way only Anderson can pull off. To see what I mean,

He and wife Brady Cunningham have been keeping close to home for the last month since welcoming their first child, daughter Marlowe Rivers, in early December. The Bored to Death star is enjoying time off to focus on his wife and daughter, but he'll be back to work soon when production on his new movie Goats begins.

The trio is in Europe ahead of their movie's release there - it opened in the US last Friday and came in third at the weekend box office, behind The Expendables and Eat Pray Love. Anna is back into the swing of hanging out with the boys after their recent LA premiere stint at Comic-Con and junket, where she revealed that she thinks of Michael in particular as a brother.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: Game On!

Based on the graphic novel series of the same name, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is a genre-bender - it's part action flick, part rock and roll anthem, part romantic comedy. Overlaid with whimsical video game effects, it's a risky combo to employ for a mainstream film, but director Edgar Wright has executed it so confidently and with such commitment that it's a triumph.

Michael Cera is the title character, a bass player in the band Sex Bob-Omb, who mostly hangs out with his friends and deals with the daily drama of his love life. When he meets Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), his mysterious, multicolored-tressed love interest, he falls at his feet to date her. Like any new relationship, there are challenges - specifically Ramona's past, which includes seven angry exes that Scott must fight to the death if he wants to keep seeing Ramona. Not only is his life on the line, each of his nemeses has a mystical power he has to overcome (my favorite? Brandon Routh's vegan-powered psychic abilities). It's fantastical, for sure, but give it a shot: Scott Pilgrim is an energy drink of a movie, an effervescent gem with the aesthetics of a video game and the heart of an indie romance.

We sat down with the costars in Hollywood as they prepped for the video game-inspired film to hit theaters next month. Cera stars as Scott, while Schwartzman plays Gideon, one of his girlfriend's seven evil exes hell-bent on destroying him. Lots of funny people hit the red carpet in LA last night for the premiere of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Michael Cera and Jason Schwartzman posed for photos solo, and Anna Kendrick turned a few heads in her strapless gown and high heels. Parenthood's Mae Whitman skipped the Summer TCAs in order to promote her big-screen project. Her TV costars, though, treated Buzz to a sneak peek at what's to come next season. Anna, Michael, and Jason were happy to keep showing off their film after spending last weekend together at Comic-Con, where she spoke about life on the set and Mr. Cera dressing like a superhero ranked among Buzz's favorite moments from the convention.
