Beyoncé and Jay-Z have just released the first-ever photos of baby Blue Ivy Carter!

Jay-Z posted five photos of his daughter on his site, Life + Times, as well as a message of joy and appreciation to their fans. The sweet snaps show baby Blue in the arms of her mom and dad, as well as some solo shots - we even get a glimpse at her tiny hands and full head of hair. Welcome Blue Ivy Carter! Beyoncé and Jay-Z kicked off the weekend by introducing the world to their daughter via a post to Jay-Z's website. They join a long line of celebrity tots who've made their public debut through some careful planning by their parents.

For a long time running, it seemed People had a monopoly on introductory celebaby photos. Nicole Richie, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, and the Jolie–Pitts all turned to the well-established magazine to show off their newest family members. Jay-Z Hits Carnegie Hall For First Performance Since Welcoming Baby Blue!

Jay-Z was beaming as he hit the stage in NYC Monday evening to kick off his two back-to-back Carnegie Hall shows to benefit the United Way as well as his Sean Carter Foundation. It's Jay-Z's first performance since becoming a dad to baby Blue Ivy Carter in early January and he was looking sharp in his Dolce&Gabbana tuxes. New mom Beyoncé Knowles also stepped out for her first appearance since Blue's arrival, and though she stuck to the sidelines during the show Jay-Z did have some special guests including Alicia Keys and Nas. While fans anxiously await the first glimpse of Blue Ivy, the one month old has already broken records. Jay-Z "Glory," which he wrote and released a day after her birth made Blue the youngest person ever to hit the Billboard charts.

Jay-Z wrote a song for his daughter and released it just days after her birth, and new mom Beyoncé shared her excitement in a statement posted to her website saying, "we are in heaven." She didn't step out to support Jay-Z at last night's bash, but there were plenty of other famous faces, including Ashanti, Spike Lee, and even Warren Buffett, on hand to congratulate the new dad.
