CW and NBC Take TCAs Through the Weekend

The fun rolled on this weekend at the TCAs! After the panels on Saturday and Sunday, came last night's big party. The crowd included old favorites from The Office, new all-stars like the cast of Kath and Kim, and a few select Heroes, including Hayden and Milo, who kept their distance. The Bravo reality stars kept us laughing all night at the soiree. Another special treat was the beautiful Bar Refaeli who was there to promote her new show Ironic Iconic America. She discussed the show, favorite designers, and just being a jeans and T-shirt kind of girl at heart - more on all that later.

As for the panels, the CW kicked things off Saturday with new guilty pleasures all around including 90210, the new Privileged and Stylista - think The Devil Wears Prada gone reality. Sunday the adorable cast of Friday Night Lights hit the stage to discuss their third season and taking the show to DirecTV. Fashion's Night Out Succeeds With Tons of Stars and Parties!

Manhattan was buzzing last night with all the excitement of Fashion's Night Out. It was an amazing way to help kick off New York Fashion Week across the city. Celebrities were out in full force to support the event, holding court at different stores while fans and press mingled, shopped, and spotted the well-dressed stars. Anna Wintour bounced between locations posing with her fashion-icon friends like Charlize Theron, Kate Hudson, and Sienna Miller. The Miller sisters were the guests of honor at the Intermix boutique, while Lindsay Lohan hit up Bloomingdales. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were surrounded by crazy security - maybe the most of anyone - for their appearance at Barney's. Meanwhile, Victoria Beckham was incredibly gracious despite the crowd at Bergdorf Goodman, posing with fans and pouting for cameras.

Nicky Hilton and Rachel Zoe were a vision together at the Bally party, while Sarah Jessica Parker laughed with Oscar de la Renta and Barbara Walters at Oscar's boutique. Charlize Theron signed copies of her Vogue September issue while Rihanna sauntered into events with all eyes on her daring black outfit, and Blake Lively held down the preppy front at Ralph Lauren. Katie Takes the Stage For Her Official Opening Night!

Katie Holmes hit the stage to perform in All My Sons on Broadway last night, but this time it was different. It was the show's official opening night and Katie's smile was bigger than ever as she took her bow and posed outside after the play. Of course, Tom Cruise was there to support his wife and I'm sure found time to gush even more about her performance at the after party. The only damper on the evening was the protesters against Scientology out to make a scene. After last night's big show, the first reviews are out and while they're a mixed bag for Katie and the production in general, it's a pretty big accomplishment for the actress. Congrats to Katie who deserves every standing ovation she gets.

Madonna and Guy Revolve Around Each Other

Madonna walked the red carpet last night in support of her husband Guy Ritchie's Revolver screening in NYC. Also out for the party was a semi-random smattering of celebrities including Sarah Jessica Parker, Barbara Walters, Steve Buscemi and Josh Groban. Madonna and Guy left their little ones at home for their night out on the town, and it looks like Madge and SJP were dressed for different climates entirely. This may not be my favorite look for, well, any of them, but considering this array of icons there's no complaining.

All our favorite stars of Gossip Girl came out together last night for the CW upfront presentation. From the future of our favorite guilty pleasures to the first peek at the new cast of 90210 - check out all the news here. Side note, he's Chuck Bass. Afterwards, the new style icons made their way over to the Entertainment Weekly/Vavoom bash to meet up with some of our fellow TV all-stars like Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Sara Ramirez. After Monday night, I'm sure the GG kids were used to having the finale pried out of them, but such is the life nearing the end of season one of their fame.

It Was A Fashion Weekend

It may have been the weekend, but NY Fashion Week rolled on. Jessica looked fabulous and more natural checking out Michael Kors and how could I not love little MK the fashion designer at Damien Hirst. She's enraptured! And Adorable! Hearts! All week we've been waiting for SJP to pop up, and here she finally is, on the arm of her finely tuxed husband. She definitely works sparkles and leather like no one else. Justin Timberlake's Fascinating Year

Justin and his fedora took the stage for the very last FutureSex/LoveShow in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday night. It has been a whirlwind year for the pop star with his movies, music, and new romance, which is how he landed on Barbara Walters' top 10 list of most fascinating people of 2007. The interview aired last night, and Justin got cute while reflecting about his big year. Here are highlights:

On his famous SNL skit: "Well you know, I think it's a thoughtful Christmas gift for somebody …"
On being a pop star: "Pop is short for popular, so … I don't think you can be too sad about, about being in that category."

On performing: "It becomes, kind of a meditation to be on stage," he said. "It's about having a moment or a dialogue with the crowd. However small or large they may be."

This couple didn't win us over in time to make it onto our favorite new couple list, but if you've been loving this pair right from the start, stay tuned because we'll have a way for you to show your love soon.

De Niro & Bowie Have Big Festivals, Bigger Egos

Last night Vantiy Fair helped kick off the Tribeca Film Festival with a party attended by a variety of big names. Robert De Niro and David Bowie were among those who flashed big smiles for the cameras, but apparently there is a fair amount of tension between these two under the surface. It seems that De Niro is not a big fan of Bowie's High Line Festival, which is set to start just three days after Tribeca ends and is catered towards a younger crowd. Here's more:

But a source at the Tribeca festival sniffed to Page Six: "I think they are envisioning themselves as Slamdance to our Sundance and living off the success of Sundance."

Some High Liners believe De Niro has already sabotaged them by keeping Tribeca's public relations team, Rubenstein Communications, from doing press for High Line, the Web site reports. De Niro's flack had no comment. But one longtime De Niro pal insisted, "He could care less."

Rubenstein Communications President Steven Rubenstein denies there's any feud, adding that Bowie was set to attend last night's Tribeca kickoff party sponsored by Vanity Fair. Bowie told us in a statement: "I am afraid I have no control over the inexplicable comments from the High Line producers. I think the Tribeca Film Festival is unique and irreplaceable."

Seems like a lot of fuss over nothing. Besides, Robert should have nothing to worry about, it is his festival that's premiering Spider-man 3, which is sure to be a huge hit!

Jessica in Tears at Kennedy Center Tribute

A mingling of Hollywood's youngest and most experienced came together over the weekend to celebrate some of the most respected members in showbiz at the Kennedy Center in DC. Five greats were honored: Dolly Parton, Steven Spielberg, Smokey Robinson, Andrew Lloyd Webber and conductor Zubin Mehta for their contributions to American culture and the arts. Reese and Jessica were both on hand to sing 9 to 5 in a tribute to Dolly Parton, a performance that should have been a happy one. But Jess evidently messed up the song and left the stage in tears. Simpson was on stage to sing Nine to Five as part of the tribute to Dolly Parton, one of the evening's five honorees. Simpson ended her performance abrupty with the words "so nervous" and quickly exited the stage. The stunned audience remained silent, giving her no applause.

Simpson appeared to be crying when she and other singers in the tribute returned to the stage.

How embarrassing! Poor Jess. She's a big fan of Dolly's and was even planning on going to Dollywood to perform with her friend. Hopefully this flub doesn't change her plans. Still, it looks like the show went on without her. It airs Dec. 26th at 9 pm on CBS.
