Cameron Is Back To Work Keeping Her Sister

Cameron Diaz took a break from filming after her father's sudden passing last month, but she was back to work with her costar Joan Cusack on the set of My Sister's Keeper in LA yesterday. In this drama she plays a mom, so I'm guessing her wardrobe won't be as fun party girl as hers in What Happens In Vegas, but it's Cameron and she looks fabulous in just about anything. This movie sounds like a bit of a departure for funny Cameron, but this woman wants it all and she's got the winning smile and attitude to succeed at anything.

While Jennifer Aniston's latest flick, Friends with Money did not break the Top 10, this is because it was only released on 28 screens. In fact, it had a screen average of over $22,000 which is wonderful news for the gang of ladies. I saw this movie this weekend and thought it was great. There is no huge climactic event but the banter between the characters is fabulous. Jennifer played a laid-back, pot smoking maid whose three best friends were married and rich. Catherine Keener looked and acted amazing as usual, Joan Cusack is always a fresh of breath air and Frances McDormand stole the show with a hilariously dirty, b*itchy character. Oh and did we mention Jen won Best Week Ever from the VH1 show? Too bad they weren't so nice about giving it to her but we think she deserves it for all the crap she has to put up with in the press while trying to just promote her latest movie... in fact, she deserves a medal. Someday life will be normal again for Jen.

Catherine Keener is One Tough Friend

I was watching The Today Show this morning and entertainment reporter Jill Rappaport was interviewing Jennifer Aniston, Joan Cusack & Catherine Keener for Friends with Money. They were talking about the movie and then BAM - watch out - Rappaport tried to ask about the supposed $8 million wedding at Oprah's estate and before Jennifer could even respond Keener went off on her saying, "I thought you weren't going to go there." At first Rappaport was like wow look at your friend coming to your defense and even called her a cougar (but I don't think she meant it in that way). Then stupid Rappaport went on about how she has never been to an $8 million wedding and Keener was like well you won't be now.... People recapped part of the segment but I am still searching for a clip or anything on The Today Show site and nada so far but stay tuned. Here's a pic of the friends in their new movie coming out this weekend.

Aniston Kicks Off Sundance

The Sundance festival has started and Hollywood has taken over Park City yet again. This year Robert Redford spoke about the importance of starting the festival 25 years ago. It's more than just the free gifts and parties that many of us have head about. According to Redford, the institute is about "programs that nurture writers and directors. It helps them develop raw ideas into screenplays and films." To kick things off last night was "Friends with Money," starring Jennifer Aniston, Catherine Keener, Joan Cusack and Frances McDormand. Here's a pic of the ladies at the premiere with director Nicole Holofcener (in the center).

Here's a cute pic from the movie of Jennifer Aniston as Olivia. Her character is "reaching a personal crisis, has quit her teaching job and is now cleaning houses for a living. She is looking for support - fiscal and emotional - from her more well-heeled acquaintances and continues her search for a significant other among the slim pickings on offer."
