Joel Madden got his family Halloween fix earlier this week before jetting off to Australia, where he was spotted with Benji today. Nicole is holding down the fort with Harlow and Sparrow back in LA, but still made it to her salon appointment yesterday. Nicole has been hard at work designing for her upcoming Winter Kate clothing line and House of Harlow shoes while Joel focuses on his music, but he proved to be her biggest supporter by recently saying how much he loves Nicole's style.

Nicole Richie looked amazing in her short shorts on Saturday in LA, giving us a good look at her post-baby body just a few weeks after Sparrow's birth. She brought her younger sister Sofia to see Selena Gomez perform her first show, and Joel came along as well, tweeting how impressed he was with the young singer. Nicole's an attentive older sibling to Sofia, and now there's a new big sister in the family — Harlow will get to show Sparrow the ropes when they're old enough to hit the town together.

Nicole Richie was in labor last night, and early this morning she gave birth to a son named Sparrow James Midnight Madden. Harlow Madden hugged Joel's legs at the farmers market in LA on Sunday. The two were out without Nicole, who has been laying low since the news broke on Friday that her former fiancé DJ AM was found dead in NYC. There were rumors that Nicole went into labor following the stressful and difficult situation, but her mother twittered that it wasn't true and Nicole apparently spent some time with Ellen Pompeo on Saturday.
Halle and Ashlee Mind the Gap With Famous Friends
Celebrities were out in Hollywood last night celebrating the launch of Gap's new 1969 premium denim line. Halle Berry stepped out with her man Gabriel Aubry, while Emma Roberts rolled solo. Ashlee Simpson was fresh from the TCAs to smile and strike a few poses, and Joel Madden manned the DJ booth while Nicole hosted a bash across town.
