Joel Madden got his family Halloween fix earlier this week before jetting off to Australia, where he was spotted with Benji today. Nicole is holding down the fort with Harlow and Sparrow back in LA, but still made it to her salon appointment yesterday. Nicole has been hard at work designing for her upcoming Winter Kate clothing line and House of Harlow shoes while Joel focuses on his music, but he proved to be her biggest supporter by recently saying how much he loves Nicole's style.

Nicole, Joel and Harlow Get Ready For Sparrow's First Halloween

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden brought Harlow out to pick pumpkins yesterday in LA. This Halloween will be a special one for the family, as it's their very first with baby Sparrow - ICYMI, check out his debut! Nicole is apparently aiming for an Alice in Wonderland-themed holiday, though she recently joked about dressing Sparrow like a mummy, saying, "I will wrap him up in toilet paper and make him a little mummy. Nicole and Joel Dig In and Lend a Hand For Charity

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden spent a few hours away from adorable Sparrow and Harlow yesterday to help out some other deserving kids at a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Beyond Shelter organization in LA. The couple is deeply involved in children's charities, especially their own Richie-Madden Foundation. After the event, Nicole tweeted an appreciative note to the volunteers saying, "It felt great to be back. The playground has happened thanx to all of you who helped!" Even with Nicole's busy schedule, including her latest exciting announcement about a new clothing line, Winter Kate, she still makes time to support important causes and show off her big heart.

Meet Nicole and Joel's Baby Sparrow!

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are officially introducing Sparrow! Nicole and Joel's six-week-old son, who looks so much like his big sister did on her first cover, is front and center in mom's arms for his first magazine shoot. The family of four posed for People's newest cover and inside the magazine gushed about their life as a family of four.

Nicole said: "I couldn't be happier. The only thing you want is for your kids to be healthy and happy, and they are. I'm right where I belong. I'm glad I had a girl before I had a boy. She just loves him so much."

From Joel: "She's very gentle with him."

Nicole and Joel Step Nobly Onto the Red Carpet

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden hit the red carpet last night in LA for the Noble Humanitarian Awards, where he picked up an honor for his extensive charity work. We've had more than a few glimpses of Nicole since she gave birth to baby Sparrow last month, but this marks her first official outing as a mother of two. Harlow and Sparrow stayed home for the evening, but Joel happily gushed about his kids. He opened up about Harlow becoming a big sister, saying, "She loves it. She's so happy, she's just psyched. . . . She totally gets it. It fit in perfectly there – hasn't been a hitch." Things in the Richie-Madden household seem to be going great, especially amid rumors that Nicole and Joel made things official last week.

Leggy Nicole Rocks Out to Selena Gomez

Nicole Richie looked amazing in her short shorts on Saturday in LA, giving us a good look at her post-baby body just a few weeks after Sparrow's birth. She brought her younger sister Sofia to see Selena Gomez perform her first show, and Joel came along as well, tweeting how impressed he was with the young singer. Nicole's an attentive older sibling to Sofia, and now there's a new big sister in the family - Harlow will get to show Sparrow the ropes when they're old enough to hit the town together.

Nicole and Joel Spend Time With Big Girl Harlow

Nicole Richie joined Harlow and Joel for an afternoon out in LA on Saturday. It was Nicole's second outing since Sparrow's birth two weeks ago, and it looks like the Richie-Maddens are already back into the swing of things. She's also returned to her Twitter, where she's been taking breaks from tending to Sparrow to post ruminations about Sex and the City. Yesterday Joel took Harlow to the farmer's market before trying to make Nicole's 28th birthday today a trending topic.

Nicole, Joel, and Harlow Welcome Baby Sparrow!

Nicole Richie was in labor last night, and early this morning she gave birth to a son named Sparrow James Midnight Madden. In an announcement on her website, Nicole wrote that her son was born a healthy 7 lbs, 14 oz. Congrats to one of our favorite Summer couples and their growing healthy and happy family!

Harlow Is a Daddy's Girl at the Market With Joel

Harlow Madden hugged Joel's legs at the farmers market in LA on Sunday. The two were out without Nicole, who has been laying low since the news broke on Friday that her former fiancé DJ AM was found dead in NYC. There were rumors that Nicole went into labor following the stressful and difficult situation, but her mother twittered that it wasn't true and Nicole apparently spent some time with Ellen Pompeo on Saturday. Even so, Joel was on Harlow duty for their Sunday outing as Nicole takes a break from being particularly public and the inevitable questions about Adam.

Halle and Ashlee Mind the Gap With Famous Friends

Celebrities were out in Hollywood last night celebrating the launch of Gap's new 1969 premium denim line. Halle Berry stepped out with her man Gabriel Aubry, while Emma Roberts rolled solo. Ashlee Simpson was fresh from the TCAs to smile and strike a few poses, and Joel Madden manned the DJ booth while Nicole hosted a bash across town. It was a crowd that often turns up to support high-end designs, but they all looked happy to snag pairs of the budget-friendly jeans that are all priced under $70.
