John Cusack and Pink had a moment outside a hotel in Berlin this week. Um, how's that for random? I often wonder what it's like for celebrities to meet each other (do they introduce themselves?), but it looks like these two went straight for the hug. She was in town on a European leg of her tour while he's overseas filming a new movie, Stopping Power. Hey, it looks like they got a new friend out of it! Yays.

Michael Moore's latest political documentary, Sicko, premiered this week and some of his Hollywood stars were out to celebrate. I must say that I love seeing ~~Pacey Whitter~~ Josh Jackson out anywhere, not to mention Kristen Bell post-Veronica Mars. Also, it's always amazing to see Mr. John Cusack. Yay for Say Anything crushes.

John Cusack Loves Scary Movies, Hilary Duff

John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson premiered their creepy horror flick 1408 this week in LA. In the film, which is based on a short story by Stephen King, John plays a paranormal specialist who checks into the room 1408 of a hotel in order to debunk the myth that it's haunted. Hilary Duff showed up to the premiere as well to support her costar in the upcoming film War, Inc. (previously Brand Hauser: Stuff Happens). The two have obviously become friends and John told MTV recently that he has nothing but respect for Ms Duff. Here's more:

Is it true you requested [Hilary Duff for War, Inc.]?
John: Yep. Well, the part was ... she played a pop idol from central Asia. So, she was like a Hilary - but not Hilary, because Hilary is so classy - but like a real, and I won't name names, but a real slutty pop star. ... Hilary is the opposite of that, of course. I think for her to play that, or to parody that, was really great.
What's the biggest misconception [of her]?
John: I think probably people wouldn't know how talented she is. I mean, she's a great actress. I just spent the entire fall with her and she was a revelation every day. I don't think people know that yet, but they're gonna.

Gee, I wonder what slutty pop star he could possibly be talking about? Luckily, Hilary works hard at setting herself apart from her pantyless trainwreck counterparts. Besides, she may be a pop star but she was an actress first so it's no wonder John was impressed with her talent. It will be interesting to see her play this parody of her counterparts.

Is Jeremy Piven Turning Into Ari Gold?

We all love Jeremy as Ari on Entourage but lately it seems as if he has been staying in character. He recently accused long time pal John Cusack of being jealous of his fame. This week he also scoffed at the fact that Nick Lachey was picked as Cosmo's Fun, Fearless Male, saying quarterback Rex Grossman should have won instead because: "He makes Nick Lachey look like Clay Aiken." So what do you think, is Jeremy turning into his cocky Entourage counterpart?

John Cusack: A Love Song

Even though I have to (finally) admit that John Cusack is looking a little more, uh, mature these days, it's still comforting like a warm blanket to see his face at Sundance this year. Lloyd Dobler/Martin Blank/Rob Gordon is at Sundance to promote Grace is Gone, a film in which he is none of those previously mentioned characters, but I like to think he keeps a little piece of each of them with him at all times (like he's secretly an assassin who can make an overly-examined mix tape and will begrudgingly accept a pen in exchange for his heart).

Plus, I totally suspect Jeremy Piven is really the jerky party in their recent man feud, but maybe I'm biased (and think Piven, though great on Entourage, should realize that he's not actually Ari Gold).

Hilary Duff Makes Stuff Happen

Check out Hilary Duff sporting a new look with John Cusack on the set of their new futuristic film, Brand Hauser: Stuff Happens (previously titled War, Inc.). In the film that was written and produced by him, Cusack plays a hit man who is hired to kill a Middle Eastern oil minister. His cover is acting as a wedding planner for a local pop star. We're guessing that Hil is that pop star. Guess this role isn't a huge stretch for her.

I still can't get over her get-up in these pics. It looks like she's going to play a real diva. She does comedy really well, I bet it will be hilarious. For more just read more
