Miranda Kerr Gets Red-Hot to Celebrate a New Gig With Qantas

Miranda Kerr wore a red Georges Chakra dress for the Qantas Airways Spirit of Australia Party last night at LA's Roosevelt Hotel. The model is one of the airline's new celebrity ambassadors, along with fellow Aussie David Whitehill. Miranda seems super excited about her latest job. She tweeted yesterday, "I'm excited to represent Qantas as a global Ambassador. I love everything Australian, and Qantas is an iconic Australian company." She was joined by many other celebs from the land down under, including Chris Hemsworth, Olivia Newton-John, and Ryan Kwanten. John Travolta went as well despite being 100% American, but he is an aviation enthusiast. We caught a moment with Miranda on her way inside. Princess Diana's John Travolta Dancing Dress Sold For $800,000

The dress Princess Diana danced with John Travolta in sold for $800,000 at an auction of the late princess's dresses in Toronto yesterday. The Victor Edelstein midnight blue velvet gown Diana twirled in at the Ronald Reagan-hosted 1985 state dinner was one of 14 of her dresses a private collector sold at the auction, including two used in Diana's Mario Testino-shot Vanity Fair photo shoots. As William and Kate renew the public interest in the royal family, this is another recent example of Diana's personal items being sold; Diana's letters were put up for auction a few weeks ago. John Travolta and Kelly Preston beamed yesterday as they stepped out of the Ritz Hotel in Paris with their daughter, Ella, and young son Benjamin. The Travolta gang headed to the City of Lights to spend Father's Day there as a foursome. It was the latest stop on young Benjamin's busy itinerary - the 7-month-old is a frequent jet-setter between the US and Europe with his high-flying parents. John may have to stay put on set in the coming months. He's due to start shooting Gotti: In The Shadow of My Father, and Kelly apparently has a role in the picture, too.

John Travolta and his wife, Kelly Preston, grabbed dinner in LA last night with their young son Benjamin. The happy family have been all over in recent weeks, making the retail rounds on the West Coast and exploring restaurants in NYC. Kelly and John welcomed their bundle of joy in November, and he made his debut just two months later in a January issue of People. John's happiness at home with wife Kelly and kids Benjamin and 11-year-old Ella isn't stopping him from moving forward with a few new projects. He's clinched a role in a big-screen story about the famous Gotti crime family, starring alongside Lindsay Lohan, and also plans to join Blake Lively and his Pulp Fiction buddy Uma Thurman in a film called Savages.

John Travolta's 5-month-old baby Benjamin showed off his playful tricks while out shopping with dad in LA yesterday. The father-son duo enjoyed their quality time together and the little guy clearly knows how to put a smile on dad's face. John's wife Kelly Preston brought Ben out in NYC last week for one of his first public sightings since his People magazine debut. John is also gearing up to return to making movies, since taking a break after 2010's To Paris, With Love. He'll be playing John Gotti Sr. in the upcoming Gotti: Three Generations, which, after much drama, officially also stars Lindsay Lohan as Kim Gotti. The troubled starlet spoke about costarring with John Travolta in the Gotti film, saying "I think it's a great story to be told. I'm honored to be working with John Travolta and Joe Pesci. . . . You don't get to see the heart behind the story and the real side of people. I can relate to that because I think that I've been portrayed in a certain light. I just want to do my best to show what their family really went through." Shooting starts on location in New York soon, so the Travolta family will be setting up shop on the East Coast for John to take on the iconic mob family patriarch.
