Matthew Takes His New Project and Baby Joy to SF

Matthew McConaughey was joined by Michelle Obama, Jon Bon Jovi, and others at the National Conference For Service and Volunteering in San Francisco yesterday. Before Bon Jovi took the stage to perform, MM shared a few words about his j.k. livin' foundation and new baby on the way. He said,

"We are putting after-school fitness and wellness programs into underserved communities nationwide, teaching physical fitness, nutrition education, with an emphasis on daily gratitude for how much or how little we have. And now that I'm blessed to be a father myself - I got one at home [Levi] who's 11 months and as you people know, we have another one in the oven, three months - this foundation and its cause means even more to me."

We've got several months to wait before MM's new addition is here, but it sounds like the proud papa will be keeping us updated on both his family and his personal projects along the way.

One reason behind Prince Harry's split from longtime girlfriend Chelsy Davy is apparently that she found text messages on his phone from another woman. Knowing his wild ways and how many women want him, somehow we're not surprised. - The Sun
The surgeon who operated on Donda West has expressed his condolences over her death, although he did not comment on his role in her passing. Considering all of the dirt piling up against him, he might want to keep quiet for a while. - AP
Some are speculating that Jon Bon Jovi may be planning a run for office in his home state of New Jersey because the rocker has hired a well-known political PR rep and regularly performs at fund-raisers for other politicians. Maybe he and Bruce Springsteen can be runningmates. - Page Six
Members of the Miley Cyrus Fan Club have filed a class-action lawsuit against the group after promises of access to tickets for the Hannah Montana tour weren't realized. Goes to show, don't mess with disappointed kids and their parents. - People
Nancy Grace has been hospitalized due to blood clots in her lungs, a complication stemming from the birth of her twins earlier this month. Hopefully Nancy gets well enough to leave the hospital soon and take care of her new babies. - AP

John, Mariah and Bill Save the Music

VH1's Save The Music rocked NYC last night at a gala in honor of the organization's 10th Anniversary. Musicians such as (a suuuuuper bronzed) John Mayer and Bon Jovi performed on stage with a 60 piece orchestra comprised of STM students from all over the country. Tim Gunn held a charity auction while Conan O'Brien hosted the event. Bill Clinton was there as a stand in for his presidential hopeful wife, who was honored at the event. As was Mariah Carey, who showed off her curves, shared some bleak diet tips and gushed about Save The Music. She said, "This is a wonderful organization. I don't talk about it much, but I didn't have an easy childhood and music literally saved my life." Quite the event for a great cause.

American Idol Season 6 Rockin Bon Jovi

Last night was rocker night and it was pretty clear that this year's AI won't be churning out any awesome-like Daughtrys. We love ourselves a little Bon Jovi so we were psyched to see what was in store for us last night. Little did we know we were still going to be talking about hair now that Sanjaya is gone (thanks to Jordin and Blake).

Phil kicked off the night in what seemed like an okay performance but it was forgotten about by the end of the evening. Jordin killed her chances by screaming Living on a Prayer with the horrible red streaked hair. She should have left that look with Gina who was booted off for a reason. I really liked LaKisha last night and so did Simon based on that big kiss! I thought she rocked the house with Melinda. They both out-shined everyone else but the most talked about performance was beatbox Blake. He updated You Give Love A Bad Name in such a way that I am still confused. Love it or hate it, he will be safe. I predict the bottom three tonight are Phil, Chris and Jordin. Tonight we will lose two contestants. Click here to vote on who you think will be eliminated. Carrie Underwood Shines at CMTs

Last night the stars of the country music world were honored by their fans at the CMT Awards in Nashville. AI contestants Kellie Pickler and Bucky Covington were there and we are really NOT digging Kellie's new look. The always adorable Carrie Underwood glowed in orange and scored 3 awards for her song "Before He Cheats." Carrie has obviously come a long way since winning American Idol 2 years ago, saying "It was at the CMT awards last year that I gave my first acceptance speech ever. It's been such an amazing and blessed two years." Carrie was also one of the many performers of the night, along with Bon Jovi, Martina McBride & Rascal Flatts.
