Jon Hamm stopped by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to promote Mad Men, but the interview was definitely the least exciting part of the night. The real fun began when Jimmy challenged Jon to a game of war - but with a twist. At the end of each round, the winner got to douse the loser with a glass of water. The clip is very, very cute, thanks to Jimmy's incessant giggling and Jon's good sportsmanship.

The Cast of Mad Men Gets Up Early For the NYSE Following a Chatty Night

The East Coast press appearances continued for the Mad Men cast this morning, when they made an early stop at the NYSE. Jon Hamm, January Jones, Christina Hendricks, John Slattery, and Kiernan Shipka all gathered to ring the opening bell after meeting up for another event last night. January, Christina, Jon, and John were joined by costars Vincent Kartheiser and Jared Harris, as well as creator Matthew Weiner, for a TimeTalks panel to chat about their upcoming fifth season, which premieres on AMC this Sunday. It's been a busy few weeks for the stars in the run up to the big day, with promotional stops on the Today show, Anderson Cooper, and Jon's visit to Jimmy Fallon last night. Jon and Jimmy got soaking wet during a game of War, in which each man splashed a cup of water in the other's face when they revealed a losing hand.

Jon Hamm Has More to Say About His "Twitter Feud" With Kim Kardashian

Jon Hamm stopped by Anderson Cooper's talk show with silver fox and fellow Mad Men star John Slattery presumably to talk up the show's season premiere this Sunday. But Jon also found himself talking about Kim Kardashian.

If you haven't been following along, last week Jon lamented the fact that the Kardashian show is more popular than Mad Men. He said, "Whether it’s Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated. Being a f*cking idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you’re rewarded significantly." Kim took to Twitter to defend herself, tweeting: "I just heard about the comment Jon Hamm made about me in an interview. I respect Jon and I am a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that not everyone takes the same path in life. We’re all working hard and we all have to respect one another. Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, ‘stupid,’ is in my opinion careless."

Chatting with Anderson, Jon said he was just trying to make a greater point about the state of American entertainment. He noted that he's now in a Twitter feud, although he's not on Twitter nor a "big fan of feuding." Anderson commiserated, saying he too once made the mistake of mentioning the Kardashians in a negative way, and found the comments following him around. The cast of Mad Men came out for the season five premiere of their series at the ArcLight Cinemas in LA last night. January Jones and Jon Hamm were back on the carpet after promoting their Mad Men drama at PaleyFest on Tuesday. January chose a sexy black cutout look by Roland Mouret for the occasion and stopped to chat with us about life as a working mom. She said her costars were understanding even though it was sometimes hard to juggle baby Xander and the filming schedule. Jon Hamm, who brought a Kate Spade clad Jennifer Westfeldt, touched on the changes we can expect this year as the characters head later into the 1960s. January Jones and Jon Hamm Team Up to Chat Mad Men

January Jones and Jon Hamm teamed up last night to chat about their series Mad Men at PaleyFest. They were joined by the series's creator, Matthew Weiner, as well as costars Kiernan Shipka, John Slattery, and Vincent Kartheiser. January accented her blond bob with a streak of pink, and rocked a blue dress from designer Jenny Packham. Kiernan was decked out in Oscar de la Renta.

We caught a minute with the stars on their way into the panel discussion. Many had anecdotes to share about Jon's recent stint directing an episode. Kiernan said he was great at the job, while John recounted a funny story about a note Jon gave him during filming to stop moving his head so much. John joked that he doesn't want Jon directing anymore! 3 Reasons You Might Like Friends With Kids

The comedy Friends With Kids explores the question of whether two friends can have a baby, raise it, and stay friends. The movie follows BFFs Jason and Julie (Adam Scott and Jennifer Westfeldt, who also wrote and directed the film) as they try to pull off platonic babymaking, despite the fact that their friends think it's a terrible idea. Besides the central couple, the movie also depicts several other relationships - that of Jason and Julie's married friends, as well as the friendships between everyone in the tight-knit group. It's more cynical than your standard romantic comedy, so while you might not get swept off your feet, there are still a few reasons why it's worth seeing.

The hilarious ensemble: Four of the cast members of Bridesmaids appear in Friends With Kids: Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, and Chris O'Dowd, and if you liked them in that movie, you'll eat up their reunion in Friends With Kids. This time, you get to see Wiig and Hamm's chemistry reworked as a committed couple rather than friends with benefits, and where O'Dowd and Rudolph had no screen time together in Bridesmaids, here they're playing a longtime married pair. O'Dowd, who broke out in Bridesmaids, is even more of a delight, using an American accent to play a sweet but somewhat dopey husband. Not only is it fun to see these actors reunited as the supporting cast, the main couple is great too, especially Scott. Though his character Jason is kind of a womanizer, Scott's as irresistible as ever.
The great script: The funny script is worthy of its gifted cast, and the humor goes from goofy to downright raunchy, if the situation calls for it. But beyond having plenty of laughs, it's also very real. The characters are very blunt about relationship realities, and sometimes the dialogue is so honest that it's painful to watch, like when Hamm's character ruthlessly criticizes Jason and Julie for their casual attitude about raising a child. It might feel awkward, but it also feels refreshing.
The thought-provoking plot: Westfeldt (who also wrote Kissing Jessica Stein) has a knack for posing interesting questions about relationships in her films, and here, she really examines every aspect of the situation, like what happens when they date other people. Plus, each character has an opinion about Jason and Julie's arrangement, so you hear so many arguments that you get to figure out for yourself what you think about the situation - and what you'd do if it were your friends (or you) with this unconventional idea.
