Orlando, Leo, Julia, Demi, and More Join Forces For Peace

The stars came out to support yesterday's Cinema For Peace event benefiting the J/P Haitian Relief Organization, which was founded by Sean Penn, in Beverly Hills. Leonardo DiCaprio showed up after attending the annual BAFTA tea earlier in the day while Demi Moore made an appearance alongside daughter Rumer Willis. Orlando Bloom suited up for the charity dinner as his wife, Miranda Kerr, hit the red carpet at a Qantas event across town. Julia Roberts, Salma Hayek, and Kim Kardashian were among the other attendees to watch Sean Penn be honored with the Cinema For Peace Award for Humanitarian Action in Haiti. He was also recognized for his humanitarian work at last week's Critics' Choice Awards. Yesterday's charity dinner for Sean's organization raised $5 million, half of which was donated by Oprah Winfrey.

Julia Roberts Is a Wickedly Funny Evil Queen in the Mirror, Mirror Trailer

Last week we got our first look at Kristen Stewart's badass turn as Snow White in the trailer for Snow White and the Huntsman, and now we get to see Lily Collins in what looks like a much lighter take on the classic fairy-tale character in Mirror, Mirror. For starters, Collins's character doesn't don armor, but rather frilly dresses more fitting for balls and enticing the prince. Her posse of seven dwarfs also seem like they will have amusing back and forth with the fair princess, who has been banished to the woods by the evil queen (Julia Roberts).

Roberts is the real star of the trailer, though, having one funny line after another as she slams Snow White and tries to woo the prince (Armie Hammer), whose riches she's after. While Collins looks great as Snow White, I'm more interested in Roberts's portrayal of a money-grubbing, snide queen. See how you feel about her portrayal of a mean girl when you watch the trailer

Julia Roberts picked up her three kids, 6-year-old twins Phinneaus and Hazel and her 4-year-old son Henry, in LA yesterday. The family foursome was out and about while Julia enjoyed a break from her latest project, the untitled Snow White movie. We recently got a look at Julia as the Evil Queen along with her costars Lily Collins and Armie Hammer in character. The film doesn't hit theaters until 2012, but Julia is currently on the big screen in the recently released Fireflies in the Garden, which she filmed in 2007 while pregnant with Henry. Julia has more than just her big-screen work to celebrate these days, since her 44th birthday is coming up next week and Phin and Hazel will be seven next month.

We've already seen Lily Collins as the young fairy-tale icon, but now we've got a taste of Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen and Armie Hammer as Prince Charming. Julia Roberts wore a big smile Wednesday as she left breakfast in LA with her three children. Hazel Moder held hands with her mom and walked next to her twin, Phin, who wore an orange shirt, while their little brother, Henry, was on Julia's other side. Julia looked happy to spend time with her kids during a break from shooting her Snow White movie. She's starring as the evil queen in one of two films based on the fairy tale, and her version costars Lily Collins and Armie Hammer. Lily was also out and about in Hollywood this week, since she premiered Abduction. On the red carpet, Lily spoke about Snow White and how Julia stacks up as a bad guy. Lily said of Julia, "She's playing evil in a way that I don't think people are going to expect, because everyone loves that Julia laugh, and she maintains that, but in such a creepy, eerie way. You don't know if you love her or hate her. She's brilliant. And it's been an honor - she's so nice, she's so classy, she's everything I'd hoped she'd be!"

Julia Roberts wore a bikini yesterday to play on the beach in Kauai with her husband Danny Moder and their young children Phin, Hazel, and Henry. The Roberts-Moder clan is off enjoying a tropical vacation between projects for Julia. Earlier this Summer, she made the press rounds on behalf of her Tom Hanks-lensed Larry Crowne. The film was a minor hit at the box office - and, according to a news story that seems hard to believe, Tom Hanks gave two unhappy viewers their money back recently at a California gas station! Hopes are nonetheless high for Julia's next movie. She's starring in one of the two upcoming Snow White films, and her version, to be directed by Tarsem Singh, will also feature Armie Hammer and Lily Collins.
