Charlize, Sandra, Bradley Kick Off Award Season in Hollywood
The red carpet was brimming with beautiful stars in LA last night at the Hollywood Awards Gala, which is referred to as the first stop of award season. Charlize Theron was fresh off her trip to SF and looking hot, while Kate Beckinsale was also sexy in black. Diane Kruger held down the angelic side in white, and newlywed Zooey Deschanel stuck with her standard cute look.

The stars of the Big Apple came out to show their philanthropic sides last night at the 9th Annual New Yorkers for Children Fall Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street in Manhattan. The gala raised money to benefit children in NYC foster care and also honored music executive Kevin Liles for his charitable work. Beyonce and Jay-Z mingled with guests and laughed while Jimmy Fallon took the stage.
TIFF Gives VMAs a Run For Its Money
The MTV VMAs may have been the talk of the town, but the Toronto Film Festival proved to be just as star-studded. Jennifer Aniston looked fabulous as usual in her mini black dress for Management, while Keira Knightley looked like royalty once again on the red carpet for The Duchess. Brad Pitt showed off his Burn After Reading and talked about how little sleep he's getting these days taking care of six kids.
Gossip Girls, Lipstick Ladies, and Diane Party for Longchamp
Some lovely ladies beat the NYC heat by slipping into some skimpy clothing for Longchamp's 60th anniversary celebration last night. Despite Josh being in the city filming Fringe, Diane Kruger hit the party solo, showing off her figure in a daring outfit. Speaking of flaunting a rocking body, Leighton Meister poured herself into that LBD and showed off her free-falling bangs posing with costars Jessica Szohr and Nicole Fiscella, while some other Gossip Girl kids were elsewhere in town at the big Dark Knight premiere.

The New Museum in NYC celebrated its grand reopening last night, co-hosted by Calvin Klein and attended by some lovely ladies...and Lance Armstrong. I don't want to make any assumptions (yes I do), but Ashley and Lance at the same party — where Mr. Armstrong could seem out of place — methinks more dating rumors are close behind. Ali Larter was there and showing off her bod in a sheath dress — hey, she's definitely got it.
Adrian, Richard, Heath and Elle Were There Last Night
All sorts of on screen Bob Dylans (but not the man himself) came out for a screening of I'm Not There in NYC last night. Three of the movie's Bobs — Richard Gere, Heath Ledger and Marcus Carl Franklin — met up on the red carpet, while Adrian Grenier just paid homage to the iconic artist with his big hair. Elle Macpherson looked like a rock star herself with her hot leather jacket.
Tom Cruise Gets a Black Tie Salute
There's never a moment's rest for Katie Holmes who was absolutely stunning out to help honor her husband at last night's Moving Image Black Tie Salute Honoring Tom Cruise in NYC. She and Posh are looking pretty similar in the hair dept these days, especially when Katie has it all straight like that. It looks like most of the women took the black tie part of the event very very literally with their choice of dress color, including Ellen Barkin and Julianne Moore.
Celebrity Spawn Trek for Candy Around NYC
The streets of Manhattan were teeming with celebrity families yesterday evening as the costumed youngsters went from door to door, probably giving a few unsuspecting families a surprise when they opened their doors. Trick or treat! Soho was the 'hood for Julianne Moore and her little gnome and Wonder Woman also Ed Burns holding the hand of his precious Snow White.
Beautiful Ladies in Black for Hugo Boss
Kristin Davis took a break from filming SatC to be one of the few who wasn't wearing all black to the Hugo Boss event in NYC last night. Julianne Moore and Maggie Gyllenhaal looked beautiful in all black. Maggie's hair was my favorite part of her look with those great wavy curls.
