Although Kathy Griffin has called Congresswoman Michele Bachmann a bigot to her face, last night Kathy said Michele's husband, Marcus, reminded her of her fans. The controversial comedienne went on The Late Show With Craig Ferguson and made vague insinuations about Michele's husband being the type of man who you might see at one of her shows. Since Jon Stewart has already labeled Marcus, a psychologist accused of practicing "pray the gay away" therapy, "one Izod shirt away from being the gay character on Modern Family," we know exactly what Kathy means. Kathy Griffin told Conan last night about accidentally meeting Congresswoman Michele Bachmann on an escalator in Washington DC, saying Michele may not be great for our country, but she's great for comedy. When one of Michele's staffers pulled out a camera to film the encounter for the congresswoman's website, Kathy couldn't miss the opportunity to throw her off guard. Naomi Watts and her fellow Australians Hugh Jackman and Isla Fisher, in D&G, were among the celebrities who turned out for the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic on NYC's Governors Island yesterday. Nicky and Kathy Hilton were also on hand at the sporting grounds, where polo player and Ralph Lauren model Nacho Figueras showed off his skills on the field. Hugh sang a version of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" to kick off the fourth annual match before taking his seat along the sidelines. Nacho's Black Watch team won the game, and once his work as an athlete was done, he changed into a Summer suit to enjoy the rest of the afternoon. The champagne was flowing at the Sunday soiree, and Donna Karan got the party started by teaming up with Wyclef Jean on the dance floor. Wyclef performed and lent his support to the event, which also served as a fundraiser for Donna's Hope Help & Rebuild Haiti nonprofit.

An Etro-clad Jessica Simpson was the guest of honor last night at Us Weekly's annual Hot Hollywood party. This year's bash, held at the Eden nightclub, featured 2011's Style Icon, Jessica, along with other celebs like Lauren Conrad and a hot-in-red Camila Alves. American Idol's Pia Toscano looked right at home on the cream carpet, as did other attendees like Paris Hilton and Hayden Panettiere. Lauren showed off her fashion chops, too, wearing pieces from her new line Paper Crown. Jessica, however, gave props on Twitter to her clothing and makeup gurus, like Nicole Chavez and expressed some surprise at her latest honor. She said, "Style Icon of the Year, really? I'm not really that stylish, like to be honest with you. Like I wear my fiancé's Yale hoodie and a pair of sweat shorts that have been cut off, and Uggs, and Hanky Pankies, little pair of panties, you know? I'm not really that stylish, but I do know how to make a woman look beautiful, and when I want to look great, I know how to make it happen." The event was a big one for Ms. Simpson, though another celebration is on the horizon after Jessica and her fiancé Eric set a wedding date!

Kathy Griffin suited up in a camouflage bikini to take a dip in the ocean in Palm Beach yesterday. She was joined by a male friend for the sandy visit, which she fit in between her most recent Florida tour dates. Kathy's next stand-up stop will take her to Hawaii, where she'll be able to practice her paddle boarding skills like she did on her last trip to the tropical islands. The comedienne is facing some competition in her genre with Charlie Sheen also taking the stage, and she seems to be dying to get the details on his last show.

Justin and Selena Coordinate Their Purple For His Big 3D Premiere

Justin Bieber was surrounded by fans and celebrities last night at the star-studded LA premiere of his 3D film, Never Say Never. His girlfriend, Selena Gomez, came out for the screening but didn't pose beside him on the red carpet or indulge in another hot and heavy make-out session. Usher and Will Smith made it a family affair - Usher brought his impeccably dressed sons, Cinco and Naviyd, while Will gave Justin his stamp of approval after checking out the movie with Jada, Jaden, and Willow. Miley Cyrus also got in on the fun with her little sister, Noah. Justin's sure to make a big impact at the weekend box office, but he's up against some stiff competition. Another 3D project, Gnomeo and Juliet, is due to hit theaters, along with Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler's romantic comedy Just Go With It.

Ben Affleck joked around with his sunglasses-wearing costar from The Town, Jeremy Renner, yesterday afternoon at a BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Reception held in the the Four Seasons Hotel. The duo were fresh off a night spent at Friday's Critics' Choice Awards, where Ben spent a good chunk of the evening kissing and hugging his lovely wife Jennifer Garner. Michelle Williams was a lucky girl in the middle of a director sandwich, as she chatted with Blue Valentine's Derek Cianfrance and The King's Speech's Tom Hooper. Andrew Garfield got lots of love from his Spider-Man leading lady Emma Stone at the CCAs, but he stayed close to his girlfriend Shannon Woodward, who's also good friends with Robert Pattinson. He was happy to be in the same place as so many of Hollywood's A-list, saying, "It's nice being in a room with such inspiring, wonderful people to talk to." Nicole Kidman, meanwhile, didn't bring her husband Keith Urban, but she was seen animatedly talking with Black Swan mastermind Darren Aronofsky. It was the latest event for the award season regulars, and most will be out again this evening for the Golden Globes - stay tuned later for photos and news from the big show!
