Nicole Brings a Dash of Movie Star Glamour to the AMA Red Carpet!

Last night's American Music Awards brought out the big stars of the recording industry, but there were some notable actors and actresses in the crowd as well. Nicole was on Keith's arm and when he took the stage he said he does it all for her and Sunday. Plus, New Moon's Alex Meraz basks in their amazing opening weekend. Stars Sparkle, Burn and Sing at the American Music Awards

The stars of last night's American Music Awards hit the red carpet before heading inside LA's Nokia Theatre for the main event. Janet Jackson kicked things off with an energetic eight minute performance, and the evening's first award then went to the Black Eyed Peas. The Black Eyed Peas went on to take the stage to do "Boom Boom Pow" with a special Nirvana twist. The show went on with performances from Carrie Underwood and Shakira, as well as from Jay-Z and Alicia Keys with "Empire State of Mind." Unfortunately not everyone stayed on their feet - both Jennifer Lopez and Adam Lambert took tumbles while singing.

There were other memorable performances, from Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and not to mention Whitney Houston's return to the stage before she received the International Award of Excellence. Jennifer Lopez had a beaming Marc Anthony in the crowd as she debuted her new single and showed off those customized Louboutins. Michael Jackson won multiple awards, and his brother Jermaine took the stage to accept the award on behalf of their family. Taylor Swift took home the most statues, though she wasn't there and the upset of the night might have to go to Gloriana who won breakthrough artist - make sure to check out the full list of winners. Kate Hudson joined her Nine costars Fergie and Nicole Kidman, though Kate did have a chance to share a special moment with Alex Rodriguez. Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were among the first couples to hit the red carpet at tonight's American Music Awards in LA. The two stayed close together as they posed with Nicole's super-straight hair blowing in the wind. They're regulars at the country music award show scene and they're certainly pros at looking great together. Country Shines Bright and Taylor Cleans Up at the CMAs!

Last night we gave you a taste of the CMA Awards, and now here's the whole set! For the younger women, it was all about the shine on the red carpet from Taylor Swift's typical beautiful sparkly gown to Carrie Underwood's mirrored number. Carrie was one of the hosts of the night along with Brad Paisley, so once she stepped inside it was all about the costume changes for her. Nicole Kidman had nothing but love for her husband Keith Urban, who was a nominee. Faith Hill and Tim McGraw always look classic together and this was no exception.

Taylor kicked off the show with a wild performance of "Forever and Always" where she threw around her long blond hair as she sang. There were no semi-subtle kisses for Taylor Lautner this time, but the two have a lot to celebrate next time they see each other - she won the biggest award of the night, Entertainer of the Year! She also won for female vocalist of the year, album of the year and music video of the year for "Love Story." Carrie Underwood walked away empty handed, but she and Brad Paisley did a great job hosting the show which included a few jokes at the expense of Kanye West. Kid Rock and Dave Matthews Band were also among the performers at the fun country-filled award show.

Stars of the country world came together tonight in Nashville for the 2009 CMA Awards! We'll be back with all the red carpet, show and press room highlights soon, but we're kicking it off with a taste of what to expect. As expected, the two darlings of the genre Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift looked gorgeous on the red carpet and stage while their friend Kellie Pickler showed off her darker hair. Taylor Joins Nicole and Keith For a Night Celebrating Country

Some of country music's biggest stars turned out in Nashville last night for the BMI Awards, which honor the year's best in songwriting. Taylor Swift was fresh off her SNL appearance to take a turn down the red carpet in white before she went onstage to accept an award for "Love Story." Nicole Kidman was there to keep her husband Keith Urban company as they laughed their way through the evening. The BMIs are a precursor to tonight's big CMA Awards, where tons of country singers will come out to celebrate the genre. Both Keith and Taylor are in the running for Entertainer of the Year, so we can expect to see the duo back out again this evening.

Taylor and Faith Give Their All For the Hall

Taylor Swift was in Nashville last night to perform at the "We're All For The Hall" concert benefiting the Country Music Hall of Fame. She was joined by other luminaries from the country world for the event, which is held regularly to raise funds for the establishment's endowment. Faith Hill posed for photos with Taylor behind the scenes, before both ladies stepped onstage with Keith Urban and many others. Taylor looked like her usual happy self, but we can't help wondering which contributed more to her big smile - all those AMA nominations or her weekend in Chicago with Taylor Lautner.
