The 65th Cannes Film Festival is underway, with stars stepping out for glamorous events each day. Brad Pitt hit the red carpet looking hot in a classic tux while Diane Kruger emerged in a white feathered Nina Ricci gown for the premiere of Killing Them Softly with Joshua Jackson. Kristen Stewart and Kirsten Dunst linked up for the On the Road photocall and Robert Pattinson hit the red carpet dressed up in a suit to support Kristen's big Cannes premiere. The annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala took place at the Hotel du Cap in France yesterday. The glamorous event has occurred during the Cannes Film Festival for almost two decades and this year brought out many stars, including a L'Wren Scott-clad Julianna Margulies and her husband Keith Lieberthal, as well as Alec Baldwin and his fiancée Hilaria Thomas. Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger, in Chanel, continued their red-carpet run with another appearance for the cameras after stepping out most recently for the Nights in Monaco Gala in Monte Carlo. Kirsten Dunst chose blue Louis Vuitton gown and sat with boyfriend and On the Road costar Garrett Hedlund during dinner. Milla Jovovich, who we chatted with last night at L'Oréal's bash, wore a metallic look by Atelier Versace while Kylie Minogue brought a pop of color in red. Petra Nemcova also chose the bright hue while model Doutzen Kroes went with white.

Kristen tried out Spring's printed pants trend, choosing a pair of primary colored, statement pants by Balenciaga. She kept the rest of her outfit simple with a tailored blazer, white tank top, and classic black heels, while alongside Kirsten Dunst, who looked lovely in white. Kristen Stewart hit the red carpet for her Cannes premiere of On the Road this evening. She had the company of costars Sam Riley, Garrett Hedlund, Tom Sturridge, and Kirsten Dunst. Kirsten wore pink Dior, and Kristen was in Balenciaga. The gang spent the whole day together, having attended a press conference and photocall earlier. The movie debuted at the film festival this morning - check out our movie review of On the Road. The picture is based on the classic 1957 Jack Kerouac novel, and in it Kristen plays Marylou, the object of affection for the two main characters, played by Sam Riley and Garrett Hedlund. It was a big risk for Kristen, who has actually been attached to the project since producers saw her in 2007's Into the Wild, because it involves more nudity than her Twilight movies.

At today's press conference, Kristen spoke about her character. She said, "I love Marylou. The character is so vivid, she jumps right off the page and slaps you in the face . . . If I had to choose one character who really, truly embodied the spirit of this book, it was her. She really is this amazing link between the two boys. It's a grand statement to make, but it might not have happened without her."

Tom Sturridge didn't bring along his pregnant partner Sienna Miller, but there were plenty of other celeb couples in attendance. Robert Pattinson turned up to support Kristen ahead of his own Cosmopolis debuting at Cannes this weekend. Sam Riley had wife Alexandra Maria Lara on his arm, and costars Garrett Hedlund and Kirsten Dunst were able to mix romance and work on the carpet.

Kristen Stewart and her On the Road cast mates gathered this morning for a photocall at the Cannes Film Festival. Kristen paired a white tee and black blazer with a pair of wild printed pants for the press session. She threw an arm around a Dolce & Gabbana-clad Kirsten Dunst for a series of girls-only pictures, then linked up with costars Sam Riley, Viggo Mortensen, Tom Sturridge, Garrett Hedlund, and Danny Morgan. Kristen's in France with the picture and her costars just ahead of her boyfriend Robert Pattinson's Cannes debut. He'll hit the Croisette himself with his David Cronenberg-directed Cosmopolis before the festival wraps up this weekend. Tom may have brought along his pregnant partner Sienna Miller, and Sam makes an adorable pair with his German actress wife, Alexandra Maria Lara. Kristen Stewart arrived at LAX yesterday to catch a flight out of town. Also at the airport were her On the Road costars, and real-life couple, Garrett Hedlund and Kirsten Dunst. The gang are bound for France, where their Walter Salles-directed movie will debut tomorrow - make sure to check out all the celebrities at Cannes so far during the festival! Kristen has been around the world in recent weeks talking up her other new film, Snow White and the Huntsman, and was last in Mexico City to do a round of interviews alongside costar Sam Claflin. France may bring Kristen a little relaxing. Her boyfriend Robert Pattinson will also be on the Croisette with his movie Cosmopolis, so hopefully they're able to fit in a date night amid the premieres, parties, and press.
