Michael Phelps Cleans Up at the Star-Studded ESPY Awards

Many celebs hit the red carpet last night at the ESPY awards in LA to honor the stars of the sports industry. Samuel L. Jackson was the evening's host, and he kept the audience laughing with his jokes about Twitter. Zachary Quinto took the stage looking dapper in his suit, while Miranda Kerr smiled for photos before the scary robbery at Orlando Bloom's house. Demi Moore was also on hand to present Michael Phelps with one of his five awards. It might not have been as snazzy as last year's Justin Timberlake's ESPY hosting gig, but the athletes and stars looked fantastic for the sports-filled night.

Michael wasn't the only one getting trophies - Hollywood's beloved Lakers won Best Team. Other presenters included Rashida Jones and Jeremy Piven, while funny men Andy Samberg and Seth Meyers watched alongside Billy Crudup. The festivities are set to air Sunday evening on ESPN.

The Lakers and Stars Come Out to Play

The NBA playoffs drew another star-studded crowd in LA last night. Leonardo DiCaprio had a guys' night out with his close friend Tobey Maguire, as Will Ferrell brought the laughs. Diddy clapped politely before personally congratulating Kobe Bryant on the Lakers' big win. As the team advances to the next round of the playoffs, the loyal celebrity fans have even more chances to keep those courtside seats warm. Leonardo is still alive in another tournament these days too - he's up against Angelina Jolie in the third round of the PopSugar 100.

Starry-Eyed Lakers Fans Get a Night of Celeb Sightings

It was another celebrity-filled Lakers game last night at the Staples Center as the undefeated team beat the LA Clippers. David Beckham continued be a loyal fan, so maybe Posh isn't the only one who is loving their LA life. Becks and Marc Anthony chatted with Kobe Bryant, and the stadium upped its comedic factor with Jonah Hill, Jack Black, and Will Ferrell keeping the laughs going all game long. Kate Hudson was back in town and had a great time drinking beers with her brother Oliver. All in all it was a successful night for the Lakers and their A-list fans.

Between our longtime love for David Beckham to newer frequent favorites like Tom Brady and Tony Romo to this week's addition of Roger Federer and hottie Cristiano Ronaldo it's beginning to look a lot more athletic around here. We love watching the boys in uniform sweat it out on the small screen, but we want to know - do you want to see more athletes here on PopSugar?

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom tied the knot yesterday in LA! The weekend was full of star-studded festivities, including a rehearsal dinner with some of their family and friends. Khloe had her sisters Kim and pregnant Kourtney by her side the whole time. The happy couple welcomed guests, including some of Lamar's teammates like Kobe Bryant and his wife, as well as Ryan Seacrest, Kelly Osbourne, and more. Plus, the crew of Keeping Up With the Kardashians was there to tape the whole thing for the show. The Sunday nuptials took place at a private residence, and it was a black tie affair. Michael Jackson's Memorial Mayhem Begins in LA

The circus has begun surrounding Michael Jackson's funeral events today in Los Angeles. Fans from around the world are pouring in to pay their respects, though only 17,500 were lucky enough to win tickets in the lottery to attend. Last night the Jackson family gathered for a viewing at Forest Lawn cemetery, where Michael will be laid to rest, and they were there again this morning for a private service preceding today's spectacle. The entire thing is being broadcast live, starting with the procession through LA's shutdown streets - find out how and where to watch it all here. Michael's body will be front and center at the Staples Center memorial, where performances include Usher, Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Hudson, Mariah Carey, and more.

Appearances are also expected from stars like Kobe Bryant, Brooke Shields, Lionel Ritchie, and John Mayer. One person who will not be there is Michael's good friend Elizabeth Taylor, who shared her feelings on her Twitter page. The day - from closing down streets to security measures - is rumored to be costing the city of LA around $4 million. Lakers Win NBA Final Game One With All-Star Cheerleaders

Kobe Bryant and the rest of the Lakers put on quite a show for their fans, confidently beating Orlando in game one of the NBA finals last night. The celebrity contingent was strong at the Staples Center for those lucky enough to score seats including season-long supporters Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Kevin Connolly. Blond beauties Jessica Simpson and Lauren Conrad accompanied their boyfriends Tony Romo and Kyle Howard to watch the game. Lauren enjoyed a romantic day of shopping with Kyle earlier in the week, though LC doesn't look like she minds this venue much either. The Lakers cheering section has a few nights off before game two in LA on Sunday night, but the crowd is sure to be just as star-studded when the team takes the court again.

Grindhouse Coming to a Theater Near You

Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's double-feature of sex, violence, and gross-out humor, Grindhouse, premiered in LA last night. The film was reportedly so offensive that scenes had to be cut to avoid a NC 17 rating, but the trailer shows us that it will still be a stomach churner. Eva kept it casual while out to support her friends, but obviously was fine to let the other girls shine. Rose McGowan is always up for that task and worked her black hair magic on the red carpet. We're not sure we have the stomach for this one, but we're always happy to see glammed up stars.

Baby Girls for Kobe & Shaq

The once teammates and now supposedly not so friendly basketball superstars both welcome baby girls today. Kind of like the Brooke Shields/Tom Cruise having their daughters down the hall form each other, the world works in mysterious ways. Congrats to the happy growing families.

Shaquille O'Neal and his wife, Shaunie Nelson, welcomed a new daughter, Me'arah Sanaa O'Neal, on Monday. The baby girl, who weighed 8 lbs., 1 oz., and was 21 1/2 inches long, was born at 4:57 a.m. in Miami.

Kobe Bryant and his wife, Vanessa, welcomed their second child on Monday in Orange County, Calif., the Associated Press reports.

A daughter, Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant, was born at 2:03 a.m. Monday, weighing 6 lbs., 7 oz. She is 18 1/2 inches long.

"The arrival of our daughter early this morning is an incredible blessing for me and my family," Bryant said in a statement. "We are all full of beautiful emotions after what has been such an incredible day."
