Lauren Conrad Returns to LA in Time For Valentine's Day

Lauren Conrad had a Starbucks in hand as she landed at LAX last night. She returned home after taking off on a trip last week. The getaway coincided with Lauren's 26th birthday, which we celebrated with a look at LC's cutest Twitter pictures. It's usually a busy time of year for the reality star turned designer since NY Fashion Week kicks off tomorrow, but she won't be showing her Paper Crown line on the runway like she did last year. Instead, she's gearing up for Valentine's Day and shared a fun DIY gift that would be perfect to give to a girlfriend on her website. LC may not be currently attached, but she's been seen out with multiple male friends recently including the good-looking guy she dined out with in LA last month.

Lauren Conrad Wraps Up Birthday Fun and Heads to Fashion Week

Lauren Conrad had a Starbucks iced tea in hand yesterday when she caught a flight out of LAX. She's on the go for a trip out of town after marking a big milestone this week - Lauren Conrad turned 26 on Wednesday, and we celebrated with a look back at the most adorable pictures she's put on Twitter! After the fact, Lauren shared pictures of her party. She wrote, "When I got to the Paper Crown offices, we wore party hats all day, ate cake and even had a little champagne - a perk of being your own boss. Several friends stopped by the office to wish me a happy birthday and brought flowers too. All in all, it was a pretty wonderful day!" Now, Lauren's en route to NYC, where Fall 2012 Fashion Week begins in just a few days.

The TV personality, writer, designer, and style maven has started LaurenConrad.com, a social networking site that features daily posts by Lauren on all of our favorite topics - fashion, beauty, food, party planning - and Lauren will be sharing her latest fashion finds with Fab every month. This week, she's sharing her favorite belted coats.

It’s easy to look frumpy during the Winter when you’re hidden beneath layers upon layers of clothing. But you don’t have to be a fashion victim just because the mercury dropped. Instead, take a cue from Burberry Prorsum and Diane von Furstenberg and belt that bulky coat of yours! Defined waists are coming back in a major way for 2012, which makes belted coats the perfect transitional piece for this trend. I love the belted look because I think it’s a nice way to create a waist when it’s cold. And I love the understated femininity of the look as well. As a matter of fact, I even designed one for an upcoming Paper Crown collection (stay tuned!).

The belted look can be achieved a couple of ways: Simply cinch your coat or jacket at the waist with your favorite belt or buy a pre-belted (or waist-tie) coat/jacket. You can even work this trend with a closed blazer and cute belt, too. The belted coat works for all body types. It’s universally flattering and adds the ultimate chic-factor to drab Winter wear. The best part? It’s a cinch!

LC's been showing some leg in recent days and for her latest look she paired a flirty floral dress with a Chloé Marcie satchel. She wore one of her own Paper Crown minidresses paired with strappy Jimmy Choo stilettos and a Christian Louboutin clutch for her red-carpet arrival at Sunday night's InStyle's Golden Globe Awards afterparty. Lauren was back to work again this morning for a photo shoot, tweeting a picture of herself cozying up with friends under a baja blanket.
