Leighton Meester wore a bikini to hit the beach in Rio yesterday with her new man. Leighton's boyfriend Aaron Himelstein was shirtless for the swimming session, and the couple showed plenty of PDA while out in the water and together on the sand. Leighton and Aaron are enjoying a Brazilian vacation that's included plenty of sightseeing and even meeting with some of her South American fans. She was able to get away now that filming the current season of Gossip Girl has wrapped. Next up for Leighton will be promoting her new comedy That's My Boy, which stars Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg, ahead of its June release. She's also indulging her charitable side by teaming up with the DKMS foundation, encouraging people to become blood marrow donors.

Gossip Girl stars Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick reported to set in NYC yesterday. Leighton, dressed in a floral frock, mary jane pumps, and a yellow coat, looked right on trend for the first day of Spring. Chuck Bass, played by Ed, arrived in character wearing a bold printed tie and perfectly tailored suit.

It's been a few weeks since we saw Blair Waldorf choose Dan Humphrey over Chuck, but when the show returns on April 2 there's sure to be lots of OMG moments to discuss. We'll also find out if Blake Lively's character, Serena van der Woodsen, betrays her closest friends and family by assuming the role of Gossip Girl.

Leighton Meester Reflects on Her "Crazy" but "Happy" Childhood in Marie Claire

Leighton Meester covers Marie Claire's new April issue. The Gossip Girl star also has That's My Boy with Adam Sandler arriving in theaters this June. Leighton appears in the magazine to chat up the Sandler comedy, but also got personal in her chat. She spoke about her tumultuous childhood, and how she worried about her family having enough money for necessities. Leighton also touched on getting married someday, saying she's not sure it's something she'll definitely do. Here are highlights from Leighton in Marie Claire:

On her childhood: "My family has a crazy history. Probably the craziest I’ve heard of. . . I look back now and I see it in a nice light. It wasn’t uncomplicated. But I played outside. I went to the beach. There were happy, fun times."
On tough times as a kid: "I couldn’t relate to kid stuff. 'Jimmy doesn’t like me!' Who cares? I was worried we didn’t have gas money or food. Those were my concerns."
On dating: "I never had a boyfriend until I was 18. It’s nice, I guess – when you like them. But it isn’t the most important thing. I’m not sure I ever want to get married. The only time a relationship is good is when you really love them. I don’t want to hang out with some guy I just like."

Blake Lively and Crew Get Down to Business While Filming Gossip Girl in NYC

Blake Lively was layered up while filming Gossip Girl on the streets of NYC yesterday. The actress, who was spotted on set in Brooklyn last week, teamed up with costars Penn Badgley, Ed Westwick, and Leighton Meester to continue shooting scenes for the show's fifth season. Blake kept warm in a black puffer coat, colorful scarf, and Ugg boots while waiting for her cue, then changed into a more Serena van der Woodsen-worthy peacoat and flats.

Recently on the show, Blair was forced to choose between two men, though it looks like she's still keeping in touch with Chuck Bass. Serena is at her own crossroads as well since she's now in possession of Gossip Girl's famous computer, though we have yet to see whether she embraces her new role. That's My Boy Trailer: Adam Sandler Is Andy Samberg's Deadbeat Dad

We're still trying to get Adam Sandler's 2011 movie Jack and Jill out of our minds, but his next project isn't looking any better. In That's My Boy, Sandler stars as a crude, womanizing loser who gets into trouble with the IRS and decides to hit up his wealthy estranged son (Samberg) for cash. As the two collide, Sandler starts infiltrating Samberg's clean, preppy, life - and not at all for the better.

The best part about this trailer is seeing Samberg playing it straight, rather than his typical off-the-wall characters. Unfortunately, the rest of the preview is pretty lame; uninspired jokes, raunchy humor, visible puke, and the like. Even as a Sandler fan, I can already tell that I'm not going to like his character in this; is it too much to ask for him to make more movies like Funny People and Punch Drunk Love? Last night's amfAR gala in NYC brought out a roster of celebrities and models to toast the AIDS-fighting charity on the eve of Fashion Week. Fall 2012 Fashion Week begins today, but there were plenty of gorgeous gowns on display yesterday. Host Sarah Jessica Parker donned a pink Oscar de la Renta gown, which she paired with a leather motorcycle jacket and white gloves while posing for pictures. Leighton Meester broke from filming Gossip Girl to hit the carpet in Louis Vuitton, while other ladies like Julianne Moore, Cindy Crawford, and Elizabeth Hurley wore Roberto Cavalli. Even Leonardo DiCaprio's current squeeze, Erin Heatherton, stepped out in Cavalli. It was Heidi Klum's first public event post-split from husband Seal, and she too wore Cavalli.The guests were treated to dinner, an auction, and performances from Theophilus London and Janelle Monáe.

Love was in the air on the set of Gossip Girl in NYC yesterday. Leighton Meester and Penn Badgley kissed during a scene on the Upper East Side while Chace Crawford and Ella Rae Peck had their own intimate moment for the cameras on the Big Apple streets. Blake Lively wasn't spotted in character, but she's been busy with the series while her boyfriend Ryan Reynolds has been promoting his new movie overseas. Ryan and Blake will have a chance to reunite since Ryan's press tour for Safe House heads to NYC this week.
