Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves touched down at LAX yesterday. They arrived back in LA with their two little ones, Vida and Levi. Three-year-old Levi will soon celebrate his sister's birthday, since Vida turns two on January 3. Matthew also just passed a milestone, ringing in 42 on Nov. 4.

He and Camila are fresh off Thanksgiving with their family. He's reunited with Camila and the children after stints away on a couple movie sets. Matthew and pal Reese Witherspoon teamed up on the Jeff Nichols-directed drama Mud. A different sort of picture kept Matthew busy in October - Matthew McConaughey was shirtless for portions of the stripper comedy Magic Mike, which he worked alongside other handsome men like Channing Tatum and Matt Bomer.

Tonight Matthew will be back in red carpet mode for the LA Film Festival premiere of his movie Bernie, which costars Jack Black and Shirley MacLaine. MM and Camila had another adults-only evening out last week to support Morgan Freeman at his AFI Honors event, but Matthew seems to enjoy spending most of his time with his precious family while between projects.

He's starring alongside Jack Black and Shirley MacLaine in Bernie, a dark comedy that takes place in Matthew's home state of Texas, set to open this year's LA Film Festival on June 16. The project reunites Matthew with Richard Linklater, who also directed MM in the '90s cult classic Dazed and Confused. Matthew skipped a shirtless romp on the California beach this Memorial Day weekend, but hopefully we can look forward to more manjoyable moments of his sexy six-pack in the months to come.
