Diddy Now Making a Boy Band

Diddy took some time away from his new baby twins Jessie James and D'Lila Star to host Gilbert Arenas birthday this weekend. The entertainment mogul is busy working on Making the Band 4. This time instead of a girl group, Diddy has turned his attention to the boys. Here's more:

P. Diddy, meanwhile, is looking for boy-band members for "Making the Band 4," airing later this year on MTV. An open casting call will be held Feb. 6 at The Roxy.

This time around, Diddy's looking for guys 18 and older - "a mix between New Edition and N'Sync with a brand-new sound."

The second and third editions of "Making the Band" were ratings winners for MTV (season one aired on ABC).

Last time out, Diddy created a girl group from scratch, Danity Kane, who had a No, 1 single right out of the box.

Diddy Grows As A Raisin in the Sun

Diddy looked quite debonair at the NYC premiere of A Raisin in the Sun last night. He brought the movie to Sundance last month with the whole cast, and we'll all get to see it when it premieres this Monday on ABC - check out a first look at it here. The music and fashion mogul first played the part on Broadway, which was was tough on the Diddy. He said, "We were all so in it, it was painful. I have ulcers. If I'm doing something right, they'll flare up, and they flared up." But making the movie was easier, "Going up to Toronto was good, walking away from all my businesses, cutting off the Blackberry, not being able to be found. … It was the best thing for me to do ... I wanna shock the world. People can say whatever they want about me as an actor, but I want them to see the growth." Here's to taking Diddy seriously, despite the fact he recently coined the term "bitchassness" on Making the Band 4. Just saying.

Diddy & Beyonce Show Off Their Fashions

Pop Stars/Designer/Icons Diddy and Beyonce met up in Vegas yesterday showing off their newest lines at the MAGIC Fashion & Apparel Trade Show. Diddy looked particularly happy -- maybe he was still glowing from mining not only a band but a solo artist out of Making The Band 4! Triumph! (Though could they ever top Danity Kane??) Of course, Tina, the driving force behind House of Dereon, was in the house with her daughter and happy to pose. Among other celeb designers milling around: Rusell Simmons, LL Cool J and Travis Barker (check them out in the gallery below). Fun times.

OMG, WHF! Laguna Beach Isn't Real?

Like no way. How could MTV say it's "The Real OC" when clearly it's not. We've obviously heard this all before but now its coming straight from the actors mouth. The gang was in Seattle to support Dieter's charity, Running Home 4 Teens. Who knew one of the kids from LB was going on to do some good things instead of trying to become an actor? Go Dieter! Anyway, the reporter has a heart to heart with Jason and this is what he reveals:

"It was just the situations they put me in. They [MTV] set you up and they'll be like, 'Listen, you're going to go to this place and talk about this.' It makes me really uncomfortable," he said.

That whole breakup scene with Jessica? Fake.

"I broke up with Jessica three or four weeks before that," Jason said. "I wasn't going to call her and break up with her on camera for real."

He doesn't talk to Jessica anymore and he said he doesn't care for Alex M. much either. (I love Alex M. I want her to be my new best friend.) Jason and Jessica dated for less than two months; Jason and Alex M. dated for "like a minute," she says. "It was really fast."

"Jason's like the guy who you get a little buzz on and then you kiss him," Alex M. said. "I'm telling you, everyone has kissed Jason." (Later, I asked Kristin if she was the only girl in Laguna who hadn't kissed Jason. "I've kissed him!" she laughed. "But that's it.")

Jessica, meanwhile, is going to community college in Laguna and recently started hanging out with Dieter again. "She comes up [to Los Angeles] and I've been going back to Laguna a lot," Dieter said. "I love the girl and I'll always love her. She knows that." As for a reunion between the couple, he said, "I dunno."

â€¢ Alex H. is moving in with Alex M. (and out of Kristin's place â€” scandalous!) in Los Angeles. Alex M. recently set her up with a guy in a band and they are now dating.

â€¢ Casey's stepdad invented the frozen burrito and she lives in the old Gucci mansion in Laguna, according to Alex M. "MTV kind of forced me to be friends with her," she said.

â€¢ Alex M. is recording an album. So is Talan.

â€¢ Jason, Stephen and Dieter live together in Los Angeles in a 16th floor high-rise. Jason and Stephen are taking acting classes; Dieter is interning at a talent agency. None of them cleans the apartment. "You walk in there and you don't even see the floor," Jason said.

â€¢ Kristin just scored a small role in an upcoming Al Pacino movie called "88 Minutes." She doesn't know what the part is, and she didn't have to audition.

â€¢ Stephen is currently single and looking. He wants someone who is mature, has a good personality, loves to have fun and "can keep up." And by the way, he never hooked up with Paris Hilton.
