The cast of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince hit New York City last night to show off their film to the eagerly awaiting American audience. Emma Watson led the show with her impeccable fashion sense, but luckily this time she skipped any wardrobe malfunctions as she chatted about hoping her college roommate isn't a huge Harry Potter fan . Emma was flanked by Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint who were joined by fans like Michelle Trachtenberg and Lance Bass.

The newest Cirque du Soleil show, Wintuk, premiered at MSG last night bringing out some of our most favorite new TV stars — Blake Lively and Ed Westwick (Serena and Chuck) from Gossip Girl. In case you missed all the in depth coverage of last night's episode (which was amazing, btw), check it out here. Also out to see the whimsical new show was Abigail Breslin, Leelee Sobieski's tights and cute Hunter Parish, who plays Silas on Weeds.

The Affleck brothers were the men of the hour at last night's Hollywood Film Festival's Hollywood Awards. Brad Pitt handed Casey Affleck the award for Breakthrough Actor of the Year (an honor bestowed on one Miss Lindsay Lohan last year) while Ben walked away with one the Breakthrough Director of the Year. That's the second year in a row on this stage for Ben (last year he won Supporting Actor), but it must have been that much sweeter to share the press room with Casey.

The big show is next weekend, but yesterday the Shrine Auditorium was all about the Creative Emmys. The lesser known Emmy event brought out some personal favorites (and next week's nominees) - from NPH to America. Kathy Griffin walked away with her first Emmy for My Life on the D-List (which is my guilty pleasure).

The party had a Paris theme, complete with French band The Plasticines and cabaret dancers. This is just the first of many NY Fashion Week events -- and our girls are there for all the action!

Tuesday evening was the opening night of Shakespeare In The Park's rendition of Romeo and Juliet in Central Park, but the evening took a turn for the worse when it started to pour, sending umbrella-less stars like Debra and Cynthia running for cover. Funny, though, because somehow Zach Braff already looks rained on. Oh wait, that might just be his greasiness.

Richard Gere was obviously the man of the hour at the premiere for his film The Hoax in NYC. In the movie Richard plays Clifford Irving, the real life writer who sold his bogus biography of Howard Hughes to McGraw-Hill in the 70's, causing a huge media frenzy. Marcia Gay Harden plays his wife who is in on the hoax.

Sean Penn was honored last night at the Christopher Reeve First Amendment Awards in NYC. When the outspoken actor took the stage to accept his award he took the opportunity to say we should impeach the president, but then that was interrupted by his cell phone that wouldn't stop ringing. He shocked the crowd including Heather Graham, Laurence Fishburne, Kerry Washington and others.

AFI Fest continues with the premiere party for The Dead Girl. Brittany Murphy walked the red carpet looking very put together. This is opposite of her character in the movie who was "a woman driven by violence, drug use and severe psychological issues."
