Rihanna Leads the Way With Amazing Women For Glamour

Rihanna stole the show in her dramatic white dress as she and her fellow honorees took the red carpet at last night's Glamour Women of the Year celebration in NYC. Carnegie Hall was brimming with beautiful ladies from Iman to Maria Shriver and Diane von Furstenberg. Catherine Zeta-Jones stood out in blue and had Michael Douglas by her side for support. Rih was just one of a handful of women who were chosen by the magazine, but all eyes were on her - and most of you are loving the look, just the latest in her fashion metamorphosis!

Padma Lakshmi showed off her growing baby bump while one of the evening's honorees Stella McCartney smiled big with her award up on stage where she also had some trouble with her super short skirt. Amy Poehler and Michelle Obama were two of the magazine's other women of the year, though the First Lady didn't attend the event since she was with her husband President Barack Obama visiting with families at Fort Hood. The night was full of inspirational and important females who spoke and mingled, celebrating each other and Glamour's picks. RDJ and Co. Keep the Lakers Lucky

Staples Center was packed with stars again last night, as Robert Downey Jr. and a few other celebs cheered on the Lakers in LA. RDJ grinned from the front row, still looking as sexy and clean shaven as he did at the Oscars. Adam Levine and John Stamos were also in the crowd while Denzel Washington munched on a bucket of popcorn. The celebrity star power proved to be good luck for the loved basketball team, as the Lakers picked up their sixth straight win.

Jakey Crutches Out to Lunch for Spring

I guess I spoke too soon about Jake Gyllenhaal's medical condition - he was back on his crutches yesterday afternoon for The Los Angeles Conservations Corps Spring Luncheon at LA State Park. That didn't stop him from suiting up for the big event and seeming to smile through the pain while there to hand out scholarship money to students. Awww even injured Jake's big heart (and manjoyable grin) shine through.

Angelina and Meg Help Honor Courageous Women

Activist Actresses Angelina Jolie and Meg Ryan got together with some very noteworthy women in Beverly Hills last night for the International Women's Media Foundation's 18th Annual Courage in Journalism Awards. The honorees, from Mexico, Ethiopia, and Iraq, were awarded last week in DC, but were happy to have another time on the red carpet together in LA last night. Obviously Angelina, Maria Shriver and Meg Ryan were happy to be able to host the women in LA last night, too. Look at that grin! Earlier this year, Angelina received critical acclaim playing an extremely courageous female in A Mighty Heart and she obviously greatly admires the work of women dealing with intense situations all over the world. A definite big brava goes out to all these incredible women who inspire female journalists everywhere.
