Mildred Baena, the housekeeper who had Arnold Schwarzenegger's love child, has broken her silence by granting a photo shoot and interview with Hello! magazine. In the magazine she poses with her 13-year-old son and says he's looking forward to building a relationship with his biological father. But based on an excerpt from the piece, she doesn't reflect much on her own actions, instead recounting how Maria Shriver reacted to the news.

"She would say things like, 'I’m here if you need to talk.' I sensed something was up. I have so much love and respect for Maria. Finally, she asked point-blank. She was so strong. She cried with me and told me to get off my knees. We held each other, and I told her it wasn’t Arnie’s fault, that it takes two."

Maria was born into the Democratic Kennedy clan before marrying bodybuilder-turned-actor and eventual Republican governor of California Arnold in 1986, and they seemed to know how to make their differing opinions work. But this sort of politically incompatible pairing is unusual, according to a recent study that finds couples marry within their political party. We got sad news this morning when former California first couple and American power duo Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger announced their separation after 25 years of marriage. In a joint statement, Maria, 55, and Arnold, 63, said: "This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us. After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion, and prayer, we came to this decision together."

Kennedy-clan member Maria gave up her journalism career when Arnold left acting for politics in 2003. Considering they'd been together since the 1970s when Tom Brokaw introduced Maria to then-Austrian bodybuilder Arnold, the Democrat and Republican already had tons of relationship experiences behind them when the governator took office, and they made for an impressive team. Victoria was decked out for the star-studded day in a red dress from her own collection, but the evening before she was likely more casual to take her sons to a Justin Bieber concert. Oprah Spreads Message of Female Empowerment

California first lady Maria Shriver ended her Women's Conference yesterday by honoring super woman Oprah Winfrey with a Minerva Award, an award given to the country's most inspirational women. In her acceptance speech, Oprah stayed true to Maria's message of empowering women, explaining that her new network OWN will be "fun and entertaining without tearing people down and calling them bitches. Imagine that."

After accepting the award, Oprah went on to praise Maria Shriver for bringing women together "to keep on striving, to keep on climbing, to keep on working, to keep on questioning, to keep on searching, to keep on supporting, to keep on fighting, to keep on hoping, to keep on dreaming, to keep on giving, to keep being the best of who we are."
