Matt and Luciana sipped drinks, danced, and chatted with friends Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky, who recently joined them for a sunny vacation. The foursome met up with a group on a mega yacht off the coast of St. Barts earlier this month, and they were spotted riding down a massive slide, swimming, and making a splash in the water. Elsa and Chris are expecting their first child together, and Elsa's baby bump was on display in tiny bikinis throughout the trip.

Matt Damon attended Lisa Snowdon's 40th birthday party in London on Saturday night. Along with his wife Luciana, who looked gorgeous in a teal gown, Matt attended the UK TV presenter's bash at the Portland Place venue. Lisa and Matt are apparently great friends, having met back when she dated George Clooney. Her relationship with George was on-again, off-again from 2000 to 2005. In the years since, Lisa has stuck largely in the UK working on projects like Britain's Next Top Model and the Capital Breakfast morning show.

Matt and Luciana headed to England after a getaway to St. Barts. Matt Damon was shirtless for the vacation with Luciana, Chris Hemsworth, and a pregnant Elsa Pataky. The group hung out on a mega-yacht - complete with a helipad - for a few days, which came as a nice break from the cold for NYC residents Matt and Luciana.

Despite Matt Damon being shirtless for a dip Wednesday, this time he was covered up in a rash guard. Being pregnant hasn't slowed down Elsa! It was a star-studded afternoon on the water off the coast of St. Barts today! Matt and Luciana Damon popped up on a mega yacht with Chris Hemsworth and his wife, Elsa Pataky, and other friends. They spent the day lounging on the huge watercraft, which featured a helicopter and helipad, and taking turns riding down an inflatable slide. Matt went shirtless while Chris also showed off his hot Avengers physique sans shirt. Luciana donned a black bikini when she wasn't covered up in a white maxi dress, and Elsa wore a skimpy dark two-piece as well. It was just announced that Elsa and Chris are expecting their first child after getting married in 2010, and Elsa's growing baby bump was on display during the sunny vacation.

He's been enjoying family time since the release of his most recent movie, We Bought a Zoo, in December. Matt's big-screen projects don't end there, since he has Elysium and the Liberace biopic Behind the Candelabra in the works. It looks like 2012 will be a busy year for Matt, who kicked things off on the cover of the February issue of Vanity Fair alongside George Clooney and Daniel Craig.

The guys looked hot and rugged as they struck a pose for Annie Leibovitz, and inside the magazine, each showed their characteristic humor by filling out VF's "Proust Questionnaire." Matt was earnest and spoke about how his role models are his parents. The We Bought a Zoo star also said he's happiest when hanging out with his four kids and that his marriage is his greatest achievement! The Descendants actor George, meanwhile, was a bit sillier when he admitted that he'd like to come back in his next life as his dog, since the pup "lives better." Daniel, whose amazing physique is on display in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, admitted his least favorite body part is his knees. The issue will be on newsstands in the US on Jan. 10.

We Bought a Zoo: Damon Puts on the Hard Sell

The simple premise of We Bought a Zoo is laid out right there in the title, and with no hint of irony. The "we" is Benjamin Mee (Matt Damon) and his two children, who are looking to make a fresh start when the death of Benjamin's wife still has them reeling six months later. When Benjamin finds his dream home, he accepts the caveat that the house is built on an old zoo territory, and that he must renovate it to save the animals. It's a story that's hard to swallow at first, but the underlying layers and an impressive performance from Damon make it go down easy.

Damon shows his range as an actor yet again, in a role that's a lot more complex than it seems initially. Though Benjamin is renovating a zoo, the story is really about a man struggling to accept his wife's death and his role as a single father. With another actor in the leading role, the film could be relegated to a tale that's both mawkish and emotionally manipulative, but thanks to Damon, you can't help but love and root for Benjamin. Sure, you care a little about the fate of the animals, but more than anything else, you just want this guy to catch a break.

There's a hint of romance between Benjamin and head zookeeper Kelly (Scarlett Johansson), but Cameron Crowe is wise to focus more closely on Benjamin's relationships with his kids than his employee. In fact, the movie may have benefited if the romantic subplot was left behind altogether. Johansson seems out of place in Kelly's dowdy duds, and as charming as Benjamin is, it seems unlikely that a 28-year-old would want to jump into a relationship with an older man who makes no attempt to hide the fact that he's not over his recently deceased wife. Child actors are hit or miss in Hollywood, but We Bought a Zoo features an impressive cast of rising stars. I defy you not to fall in love with Maggie Elizabeth Jones as Benjamin's precocious and utterly adorable 7-year-old daughter Rosie, who will make your heart melt as she slaps together PBJ sandwiches and chases the zoo animals. Colin Ford has a heavier burden to carry as Rosie's troubled teenage brother Dylan, who is coping with his mother's death and his fractured relationship toward his father. Though Dylan is obnoxious and frustrating at times, Ford brings a depth to the character that's only annoying in the sense that it's a realistic portrayal of an adolescent. Thomas Haden Church and Elle Fanning are also assets to the cast, as Benjamin's disapproving older brother and Kelly's spacey cousin, respectively. And, of course, there's the menagerie of animals, who shape the story without stealing the show away from the humans that care for them. It's an important feat, as you never question that the heart of this film is in the personal connections, not in the cute creatures that affect their lives. We Bought a Zoo perfectly fits the movie mold for holiday time; there's something for kids, something for adults, and a little bit of magic for everyone.
