The 65th Cannes Film Festival is underway, with stars stepping out for glamorous events each day. Brad Pitt hit the red carpet looking hot in a classic tux while Diane Kruger emerged in a white feathered Nina Ricci gown for the premiere of Killing Them Softly with Joshua Jackson. Kristen Stewart and Kirsten Dunst linked up for the On the Road photocall and Robert Pattinson hit the red carpet dressed up in a suit to support Kristen's big Cannes premiere. Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron, and Matthew McConaughey were back in the spotlight at Cannes today to premiere The Paperboy in front of a glamorous crowd. The trio was up early this morning for a photocall, where Nicole wowed in a red dress. She changed into a gorgeous Lanvin gown for this afternoon's event, which also brought out Heidi Klum in Marchesa. John Cusack and director Lee Daniels were on hand, as was Macy Gray. There are only a few days left at the Cannes Film Festival, but before things wrap up, Robert Pattinson will hit the red carpet for the second time to show off Cosmopolis.

Nicole Stands Out in Red With Matthew and Zac For Paperboy Press

The stars of The Paperboy were up early in France to promote their project at the Cannes Film Festival today. Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron, and Matthew McConaughey's morning photocall comes after an appearance on the French show Le Grand Journal just yesterday. Zac opened up about filming mostly in his underwear, saying, "I don't think I was supposed to feel comfortable. It's like life. This character is supposed to be learning the ways of the world, and that can be very uncomfortable. But it's also exciting." The trio will be back in the spotlight later today, when they premiere their movie at the Grand Palais.

Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron, and Matthew McConaughey met up in Cannes this afternoon to promote their film The Paperboy. The costars chatted about their project on the French TV program Le Grand Journal. Zac's face was freshly shaved after he took off from LAX yesterday with a scruffy mustache. Matthew, meanwhile, was looking handsome for his latest event following an appearance with fiancée Camila Alves at Baoli Beach Tuesday. Nicole traveled to the South of France during a break from filming her newest movie, The Railway Man, in Scotland. There are so many stars at the Cannes Film Festival already, and the fun continues until the end of the week so stay tuned for more from the glamorous overseas event.

Channing Tatum and His Magic Mike Costars Go Shirtless For EW

The stars of Magic Mike will show the world their strippin' moves when the film hits theaters in June, and a handful of the guys are giving us a sneak peek on this week's cover of Entertainment Weekly. Leading man Channing Tatum is joined by costars Matthew McConaughey, Joe Manganiello, and Matt Bomer for a hot photo shoot, and of course, an interview. Once you're done ogling the eye candy, here are a few highlights from the interview:

Tatum on the vibe on set: "Actors, generally, if we finish our scenes early one day, we go home. It wasn't like that on this set. Especially during the dances - we were there cheering everybody on."
Tatum on McConaughey getting his thong ripped off by rowdy fans: "It was a collection of women being like, 'I have to tip him,' and then the weight of all the dollar bills in their hands just took [his thong] off."
Manganiello on how True Blood prepped him: "When I came in for a meeting with the casting director, she hadn't seen True Blood. So she said, 'Are you going to be comfortable with partial nudity?' And I go, 'Have you seen my show? I'm the poster child for that.'"

Killer Joe Trailer: Matthew McConaughey Is a Hit Man For Hire

I'm so used to seeing Matthew McConaughey in romantic comedy mode, so it's a bit disconcerting to see him as a cold-blooded killer as the titular character in the trailer for Killer Joe. Emile Hirsch plays Chris, a man so desperate for money that he decides to have his mother (Gina Gershon) killed so he can collect the insurance money. He calls on hit man Joe, but since he doesn't have the cash for the deposit, he uses his sister (Juno Temple) as collateral. As you can tell from Hirsch's bloody face, the arrangement doesn't play out super smoothly, and it's not just Chris's mom who's in danger.

Though the movie is billed as a black comedy, there aren't too many jokes in the preview, but there is as much violence as you'd expect for a movie about a contract killer. I'm assuming the film itself will be pretty graphic, since it recently earned an NC-17 rating (and it's from William Friedkin, director of The Exorcist). Killer Joe comes out June 27, and you can see the trailer when you read more.

Matthew McConaughey Hits the Red Carpet For His Big Apple Premiere

Matthew McConaughey, in a Dolce & Gabanna suit, linked up with director Richard Linklater for the NYC premiere of Bernie last night. It's one of multiple projects Matthew has coming to theaters, but his female fans are likely more excited to see Matthew - and his abs - on display in Magic Mike. The Magic Mike trailer was released last week, and it, like we'd hoped, features plenty of six-pack-filled scenes from Matthew and costars Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, and more. Matthew's in the US after a trip to his fiancé Camila Alves's native Brazil. Camila was by Matthew's side for the Sao Paulo opening of the retailer Le Lis Blanc Noir Boutique flagship store. The appearance was one of Matthew's responsibilities as an international spokesman for the South American chain.
