Definitely, Maybe Gets Sweet Pre V-Day in NYC

Lucky boy Ryan Reynolds got to meet up with all his leading ladies last night at the NYC premiere of Definitely, Maybe. Isla Fisher looked H-O-T in her LBD without her fiance by her side while Abigail Breslin showed off a cute little dress of her own. As for dates, Ryan's girl Scarlett is in town promoting her movie too but the two aren't quite ready to go red carpet public just yet. They're not headed toward marriage just yet and Ryan recently spoke about his movie's off-kilter subject matter. He said, "I really see it as a love letter to broken families. It's subject matter that hasn't been explored in this way before. Divorce is so pervasive. It's exciting to see it on the big screen in a way that is charming and accessible." Probably a more positive quote about divorce than usual, but I think this movie looks totally sweet - perfect post Valentine's Day romantic swoon-worthy flick.

Ryan Is Definitely, Not Just Maybe Impressed by Abigail

Battle of the cuteness! Definitely, Maybe costars Ryan Reynolds and Abigail Breslin came out for the screening of their movie at the Santa Barbara Film Festival last night. Abigail Breslin looks all grown up these days and extra-super adorable in the heartwarming new movie. Meanwhile, I like scruffy Ryan Reynolds for sure, but this clean shaven version isn't too shabby in the manjoyment area, to say the least. Plus, how could you not love him when he's so sweet about his pint-sized costar's talents? He said about Abigail, "She’s incredible. I’m convinced she’s just Judi Dench in good makeup." Awwwwwww. Though, I don't think his girlfriend (um, fiancee?) Scarlett has anything to worry about just yet.

Madonna and Jesus Luz Getting Married Tonight?

My girlfriend just called me from Rio with some exciting Madonna rumor. She's staying in the same hotel as Madonna and Jesus Luz, and apparently the hotel is buzzing about the two of them getting married tonight! She is staying on the same floor as Madonna. The waiter told my girlfriend the big news and said, "It's the best day ever for the hotel!" There are about 40 paparazzi waiting outside the hotel who apparently want photos of her in her wedding dress. I hope we hear whether or not this is true soon, so exciting!

The film Life As We Know It is being filmed a few houses down from mine and I have been watching the filming for a few months now. Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel star in the film. My son and I walked up to watch the filming a few weeks ago and I took this shot between takes. Josh was playing football with the neighborhood kids and was a very friendly guy.

Robert Pattinson Politely Declined My Cousin's Wedding Invitation!

When my cousin Brian got married this past June, he and his fiance Leah decided they would invite a few "dream" guests. They sent invitations to Barack Obama, Albert Pujols (go Cardinals!), and, of course, the most-dreamy of them all Robert Pattinson. Not surprisingly, none of these guests could attend. Albert Pujols ignored the invitation. The White House sent a sweet, but standard, card of congratulations. And Robert? He took it to the next level by sending a signed and delicious photo of himself congratulating the couple by name. I think this is the sweetest thing I've ever heard!

Susan Sarandon is one of the investors in Manhattan's Spin ping-pong bar, and it looks like she's not only an owner - she's also a member! I spotted her there last Friday night looking adorable in a pair of boots, tights and a short skirt as she sat with other people on the indoor bleachers and watched a competitive ping-pong game. She was really into it too, laughing and cheering the whole time!

Ryan Is Scoring Big Time With the Hot Leading Ladies

A sexy sweater-vest wearing Ryan Reynolds stopped by TRL yesterday along with his co-stars Abigail Breslin and Elizabeth Banks to promote Definitely, Maybe. The two ladies seem like pretty good substitute Valentine's Day dates since Scarlett was busy overseas. In this movie he gets to romance three gorgeous women, which was more exciting than his role across from Julia Roberts in Fireflies in the Garden. He said,

“I was so excited until I found out the scenes I have with her are when she’s playing my mother. I was like, 'Couldn't we have a hot romance instead?' It's so sad. I have to tell my friends that I'm getting to act with the old Julia Roberts."

We know Ryan has had a thing for older ladies in the past (cough Alanis cough) so we can understand his disappointment. Plus Ryan realized he may have sounded a bit harsh and he attempted to redeem himself afterwards by calling Julia a class act. Luckily, Julia has some of the sexiest movie scenes ever under her belt, even if they aren't with hot Ryan.

Leighton and Olivia Step Out Confidently For Gossip Girl Style

Leighton Meester posed in a punchy dress with her former costar Nicole Fiscella and Olivia Palermo in NYC last night at the launch party for You Know You Want It: Style-Inspiration-Confidence, a book written by Gossip Girl's costume designer Eric Daman. Leighton supported the man who puts her in so many fabulous clothes, which she was once again showing off on the set yesterday with Ed Westwick and a surprising reappearing costar. She, Olivia, and Nicole all looked fantastic on the red carpet and inside the party, so maybe they learned a thing or two from the book they were out to help promote. We caught up with Eric earlier this week at the ACE Awards, where he shared a little about dressing the show's stars:

On who's most enthusiastic about their wardrobes: "Everyone goes with the flow. Blake has a little more opinions on it, because she's very body-conscious and knows what looks great on her. She's been in front of the cameras long enough to be able to say, 'This would be better if it was a half inch shorter' - which is great. It's a dream as a costume designer to have someone, who's like, 'Lets do this!'"
On dressing the guys: "The guys are pretty into it. The guys just want to look good when it comes down to it, which is pretty easy. Chuck/Ed is really into it - he really likes to look amazing and he has been one of my favorites from day one. To be able to play with menswear in the way that we do and pioneer that men get to dress better, and that it's OK to wear a bow tie and a pink shirt and not be too gay about it."
