Cameron Diaz Heads West For a Star-Studded CinemaCon Bash

Cameron Diaz wore Rachel Roy in Las Vegas last night for a star-studded CinemaCon event. She was on hand to honor DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg at the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation dinner and mingled with other celebs like Melanie Griffith, Antonio Banderas, Jack Black, and Brooklyn Decker. Cameron's off in Nevada after a stint in NYC, where she attended a benefit Monday to raise funds for science labs in urban schools.

All the traveling has allowed Cameron to catch up with her pals. Her former jet-setting companion, ex-boyfriend Alex Rodriguez, hasn't been accompanying her since their split. Alex did, though, share kinds words about Cameron recently. Alex Rodriguez gushed about Cameron, saying, "I don't like talking about my relationships. But I will tell you about CD: She's probably one of the greatest human beings I've ever met, and just an amazing light."

Salma Hayek and Antonio Banderas Meet Up in Madrid For the Goya Awards

Salma Hayek hit the red carpet in Madrid last night on the arm of her husband, Francois-Henri Pinault, for the 2012 Goya Awards, the Spanish equivalent of the Oscars. She was joined by her Puss in Boots costar Antonio Banderas and his wife Melanie Griffith. Salma was in attendance as a presenter and nominee, having earned an accolade for her work in La Chispa de la Vida. Antonio was likewise up for an honor thanks to his role in The Skin I Live In.

Antonio lost to Jose Coronado, but Antonio's film still won in four other categories. The Artist, which also fared well in Spain, added another win to their long list of accolades with the best European film award. The Artist could be a major winner this weekend when the Academy Awards roll into Hollywood on Sunday. Rachel McAdams Wows on the Red Carpet and Michael Sheen's Arm at Cannes

Rachel McAdams changed into a semi-sheer Marchesa gown for the premiere of her new Woody Allen movie during the Cannes Film Festival this evening. She and boyfriend Michael Sheen were also together this morning at the Midnight in Paris photocall, though they seemed to show even more PDA at tonight's event - Michael sweetly helped with her dress as she ascended the stairs, and they huddled close while posing alongside costars Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, and the French actress Lea Seydoux. Rachel and Michael made the trip to France together in order to promote the comedy after a stay in LA doing press and hanging out with his 12-year-old daughter, Lily.

Salma, Aishwarya, and Jude Help Kick Off Cannes at the Opening Ceremony

The Cannes Film Festival kicked off with a star-studded opening ceremony that had the red carpet full of famous faces in the French city today. Salma Hayek posed in a gorgeous Gucci Première gown with her husband, Francois-Henri Pinault, on her arm, while model Karolina Kurkova stopped for the cameras solo in a blue Armani Prive. Uma Thurman, in a white Versace number, was accompanied by fellow judges Robert De Niro and Jude Law as they made their way up the grand staircase. Longtime couple Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas were also on hand for the start of the festivities, as was international actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who wore Elie Saab. They all made their way inside the Palais des Festivals, where Uma, Jude, and Robert took the stage while Woody Allen and more watched from the audience. The event was just the first of many that will take place in the next week, with expected attendees Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, and Sean Penn all making their way to the luxurious South of France to join in the fun.

Javier Bardem Is a Biutiful Sight Despite Golden Globe Surprise

Javier Bardem and his handsome, clean-shaven face were the center of attention at last night's LA screening of Biutiful. The film earned a Golden Globe nomination in the Best Foreign Picture category, though Javier's lack of an acting nod was one of our biggest surprises from yesterday's announcement. The Screen Actors Guild list is out tomorrow, so perhaps we will still be seeing Javier receive award season accolades. Outside of his professional success, Javier has had a landmark year in terms of his personal life. His Summer wedding to Penelope Cruz was among our favorite celebrity nuptials, and the newlyweds are expecting their first baby in 2011! Penelope's bump is well covered up in the first Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides trailer, though hopefully we'll be seeing more of the adorable couple's PDA as they prepare for their exciting arrival. Cameron Focuses on Shrek After Her Knight With Tom and Oprah

Cameron Diaz went with a short red number yesterday for the LA premiere of Shrek Forever After - reminds us of the amazing pink mini she wore for Shrek 3 three years ago! She was the lone female star of the movie to pose on the green carpet with Antonio Banderas, Mike Meyers, and Eddie Murphy. Cameron is home in California after a busy few weeks of travel that included time in NYC with Alex Rodriguez and Chicago, where she recorded an episode of Oprah with Tom Cruise. They were there to discuss their film Knight and Day and she also shared her passion for cooking oatmeal for breakfast. With Cameron on the West Coast, Alex Rodriguez had to find another date for a party on Saturday - his 5-year-old daughter Natasha was on his arm to celebrate his new Gotham magazine cover.

Cameron Diaz and Most of Her Shrek Guys Kick Off Tribeca

The Shrek Ever After premiere kicked off the Tribeca Film Festival with an animated bang last night. Cameron Diaz traded in her super cute afternoon Proenza dress for an evening-ready LBD and nude pumps. She was the female representative with her costars Eddie Murphy, Mike Meyers, and Antonio Banderas. The festival's founder Robert De Niro came out to support the movie and begin the eighth-annual weeklong cinematic event. CaCee Cobb and Donald Faison looked happy and in love, showing that he has no hard feelings after her TMI bathroom tweet. One castmate not in attendance was Justin Timberlake, whose antics with Cameron during the last Shrek press tour had all eyes on them. The exes are working together again on Bad Teacher, which has already caused headlines and covers about their close relationship.

Maggie and Anne Celebrate With Inglourious Friends in LA

Quentin Tarantino brought his friends together at LA's La Vida restaurant last night to celebrate Inglourious Basterds's eight Academy Awards nominations. He chatted with other famous faces up for Oscars like Maggie Gyllenhaal, who stuck close to husband Peter Sarsgaard. Eli Roth chatted with Neve Campbell, Selma Blair, and Heather Graham, while Ryan Gosling made the rounds still looking hot after his recent trip in Sundance. Anne Hathaway brought along her constant companion Adam Shulman, as she took a break from promoting Valentine's Day.

Anne's on the cover of next month's InStyle to chat about her star-studded movie, though she took a minute to reflect on herself and her looks. She said, "I think I’ve got really weird features. I have very large features on a very small head. But, you know, I’m not going to beat myself up . . . I look like myself, and I think at the end of the day, as nice as pretty is, authenticity is more important." Her looks seem to be doing just fine as far as Hollywood is concerned, especially after all her recognition in 2009 for Rachel Getting Married. Anne's not nominated this year, but make sure to fill out Buzz's Oscar ballot for a chance to win an amazing prize pack!

The group had yet another celebrity companion for the afternoon - Melanie Griffith was arm in arm with Goldie after Kate brought Elle Macpherson for the family fun on Monday. Kate's Nine hits theaters on Christmas, and she just wrapped up a long month of promotion. Now she can relax and spend time with her loved ones after throwing a big bash for some of her A-List friends to celebrate the season in LA.
