Ed Westwick flashed a smile posing with Michael Caine at a screening of Is Anybody There? in NYC last night. Over the weekend Ed was spotted on a double date with Jessica Shzor and his parents, who were in town, but for this event he was rolling solo. Ed is among the Gossip Girl cast members who are spending their hiatus recording albums - we'll see how you like it after your mixed feelings on Leighton Meester's first attempt. If that doesn't work, we'll be happily waiting for more Chuck Bass . . . or he could also continue his career as a runway model.

Rachel, Zac and Audrina Show the West How It's Done

ShoWest stormed Las Vegas last night including some of the evening's honorees like Zac Efron, Rachel McAdams and Sienna Miller. Even Audina Patridge took home a statue at the end of the night. The young winners were joined by some big name veterans including Michael Caine who got a lifetime achievement award. Despite the global climate, the mood was apparently light and happy at ShoWest as the stars celebrated each other and kicking off 2009 with box office success.

Scarlett Johansson Pauses For Peace

Scarlett Johansson has been busy promoting The Spirit all around the world, but yesterday she took a break in Norway. It was hardly a day off for the actress, as she rehearsed for The Nobel Peace Prize Concert 2008, which she'll be hosting alongside Michael Caine. In the evening, she was back in yet another glamorous dress for the Norwegian Nobel Committee Banquet and this morning at a press conference for the event. The Nobel Prize hasn't been Scarlett's only focus this week - she also participated in a campaign against global warming.

The Dark Knight Falls on NYC

The long anticipated premiere of The Dark Knight finally arrived last night, and the stars dressed accordingly to the movie's title. Maggie Gyllenhaal, Blake Lively, and Lauren Conrad all looked gorgeous in muted tones, while Christian Bale continued to prove that he looks hot in any color. Of course, there was one very important star missing but Heath Ledger's family and friends like Naomi Watts were there in his place, while his castmates had plenty to say in tribute to the late actor. Christian said,

"Working with Heath was fantastic. He steals the movie and I'm quite happy to say that. He's a hell of a talent and created a joker that's very iconic and one that will become a classic portrayal of the ages."

While the film's premiere was a bittersweet event, the rave reviews will hopefully make The Dark Knight the box office smash hit that will help honor Heath's memory forever.

Jude Practices His To Be Or Not To Bes

Okay - this is what I'm talking about, Jude Law! Hellooooo, handsome! I know, I know, he'll be gross and greasy tomorrow, but at last night's Toronto Film Festival Sleuth premiere he was at his very best. While last week was a rough one for Jude with his arrest for beating up a paparazzi, things are definitely looking up. It was just announced that he will be taking to the stage, playing Hamlet under the direction of his Sleuth co-star and famous former Prince of Denmark himself, Kenneth Branagh in London's West End. That's a lofty role, for sure, but at least it sounds like Jude is in the right hands. Plus, Hamlet is every actor's dream, right?

The Supermodel May Be Dead, But You Wouldn't Know It Looking At Elle, Helena & Naomi

It may have been UK GQ's Men Of The Year Awards last night in London, but it was all eyes on the ladies - some of our favorite supermodels in particular. Helena, Elle and Naomi all looked as smoking hot as they did at the peak of their fame - lucky, lucky. Claudia Schiffer recently said she thinks the Supermodel is dead because of the prevalence of actors/starlets in ads and on magazine covers, but it doesn't feel that way looking at these fabulous stars. Plus, could anyone ever live up to this era of models? Their younger peers are busy making names for themselves at New York Fashion Week but these are some big stilettos to fill.

Jude Didn't Let Alfie Scare Him Away From Remakes

Jude was still showing off that aggressive tan alongside Michael Caine and director Kenneth Branagh at the Venice Film Festival premiere of Sleuth last night. Hey, at least he found himself some more appropriate footwear. The film is a remake of a 1972 thriller of the same name, and Jude had some self-deprecating words on acting in a new take on a well-loved classic. He said, "From my experience (Alfie) did not quite work out the way I had wanted it to, but you know part of the reason you embark on a creative journey sometimes is to fall flat ... and sometimes the fall leads to a triumph." Well, I think we can all agree that Alfie was pretty terrible, so pretty much anything will be an upgrade from that.

Jude Sleuths Out A New Lady, Tan

Jude Law got all spiffed up for his arrival at the Venice Film Festival today. Awww, look, he even put on his very best bronzer for the press conference and photo call for his movie Sleuth. And check out those kicks! Hey, non-red-carpet-appropriate 90s throwback! One thing he was missing, though, was his adorable ~~baby blue tie~~ new lady friend, former Miss Germany Susan Hoecke. I won't bother getting too attached to this one, because the perennial bachelor doesn't seem to stick with women for too long these days. Hey, at least she hotted him up for the moment. We all know how fleeting that can be with Mr. Law.

The Dark Knight Brings Gotham to London

After spending the weekend with their adorable little girl, leading man Christian Bale had his gorgeous wife on his arm at the London premiere of The Dark Knight. Gorgeous Maggie sexed it up in her revealing jumpsuit but maintained the all black dress code, as did Kelly Osbourne who still showed off some leg. After the amazing record-breaking opening weekend success the movie enjoyed in the states this weekend, we'll have to see how its magic translates overseas. From the looks of it though, The Dark Knight's reign has just begun.
