George & Sarah Hobble Out For Michael Clayton

After his scary Friday afternoon motorcycle accident, George Clooney stepped out in NYC last night for the premiere of Michael Clayton, arm in crutch with his girl Sarah. Broken toes aside, she looked mighty happy to be alongside her man - can't say I blame her. Along with George's costars in the movie a slick looking Brad Pitt, an ugh, why Kate Walsh and sexed-up (surprise, surprise) Ellen Barkin all came out. The night was about the movie, but the red carpet was most definitely for asking George about his accident. In typical George fashion he laughed it off with quips and jokes. Here's more:

"I'm a little dinged up – lots of Neosporin," Clooney told PEOPLE at the New York event. "I'm definitely not jogging or doing jumping jacks."

He added that he and Larson are "just resting."

"You don't really want to rub or massage parts that are broken or anything," he said.

It's good to hear that both George and Sarah are doing better after the accident - it could have been so much worse. Something tells me Sarah will take him up on those massages once she's feeling a little better.

Clooney Is Irresistible

George Clooney went from the Venice Film Festival to the Deauville Film Festival this weekend for another premiere of Michael Clayton. He arrived at the Deauville airport looking fresh and suave in white, then showed off his gray scruff while dressed in all black for the premiere. Clooney not only debuted Michael Clayton in Deauville, he was also honored with the Chevalier des Arts et Lettres medal in France. The French Culture Minister praised George for his "limitless talent" and "irresistible charm." We couldn't agree more!

George Is A (Unfit) Jokester

George Clooney was looking as Manjoyable as ever in his tuxedo at the premiere of Michael Clayton in Venice today. We often wonder how George manages to stay so gorgeous as he ages, but apparently it's not his fitness that is keeping him in business. When asked about his exercise regimen, he said, "Well, we do a lot of aerobics and a lot of dance; a lot of jazzercize, a lot of, what's that, ab-master, butt-blaster? Yeah, that's it." Leave it to George to never take anything seriously.

George Helps Us Kick Off Labor Day Manjoyment

After a pretty slow week we get to end things with a gorgeous George Clooney arriving and premiering his new movie at the Venice Film Festival. He certainly wasn't shy about sporting his salt and pepper scruff paired with a big smile - but we would expect nothing less from him! After riding the Ocean's 13 tidal wave this summer, he's shaking things up with Michael Clayton, a thriller that focuses on corporate corruption. We love seeing George's fun-loving comedic side on the big screen, but we can appreciate his more serious roles too. As long as he brings his charm and that adorable smirk, we're good to go.

George Is Not Loved by Many Michael Claytons

George Clooney kept it casual for a visit to GMA yesterday morning. No complaints here, scruffy Clooney seems like the most huggable of all. Michael Clayton may not be a big budget blockbuster or particularly fast-paced, but George is more interested in projects (and scripts) he loves these days than getting the big paycheck. He recently talked about some of his favorite parts of the project, and why it's making a few lawyers a little angry. Here's more:

HW: What scene in the film touched you the most?

GC: The love scene with Tilda [Swinton] [editor's note: there is no love scene]. It was so, so-o-o- good. The rehearsals .. she'd knock on my trailer and say, ""George, let's rehearse the love scene again.""

HW: This film takes a hard look at the legal profession. Do you expect any legal issues after the release?

GC: There's about five or six lawyers named 'Michael Clayton' who I've gotten letters from and they're not thrilled.

HW: You had some amazing, biting one-liners. Did you have any input on those?

GC: No. I'd like to take credit for anything written. I believe I didn't veer from a single word. When a script is really well written it's actually very easy. The hard part is when it's not well-written and you have to try and find ways to make it work, or make up things or fill in little bits and pieces. I've really tried to say this one as written. I've had that experience a few times, where the script is really well-written and you're trying to serve the material.

HW: What of your own personality did you bring to the role of Michael Clayton? Did this character make you grow as an actor?

GC: Well, we're the same height. Pretty much the same hair [laughs]. You're hoping you're growing every time, but probably not, unfortunately. All it really does is give you something different to play. You're trying to grow and you never know if you are or not. The funniest thing is, you can be good in films if you have a good script and a good director, but you can be really bad! It's not necessarily actors. Ultimately if you don't have a good script or director, there's nothing you can do--that's the bottom line.

Even though he's always a jokester, it's obvious this is a movie that means something to George. That being said, there's no need for him to be so modest - he's as talented as he is handsome and that is saying a lot.

George Clooney Still Nabbing Noms For Michael Clayton

George Clooney was all smiles today in NYC after he picked up the best actor statue at last night's National Board of Review Annual Awards. Lucky George has another reason to be happy, as his Michael Clayton grabbed five nods for the 2008 BAFTA Awards including Clooney himself for best actor. Head over to Buzz and check out the entire list of nominees. Sounds like Miss Sarah Larson has one more event gown to put on her (oh, I mean his) credit card.

No Country For Old Men and There Will Be Blood Lead Oscar Nominations

The 2008 Oscar nominees were announced bright and early this morning in LA and No Country for Old Men and There Will Be Blood led the nominations with eight each including Best Picture. We're thrilled Ellen Page was nominated for Best Actress for her work in Juno and George Clooney for Best Actor in Michael Clayton. Clooney Does His Best Dapper Dan

George Clooney made sure not one single hair was out of place as he walked the red carpet for the premiere of Michael Clayton at the Dubai International Film Festival. He brought along his girlfriend and although we have gotten used to Sarah on his arm we wanted to pull him as far away from Sharon Stone as possible. Run, George, Run! Luckily it didn't seem to last long. The National Board of Review just named George Best Actor for his role in Michael Clayton so he must be feeling confident about the premiere and upcoming Oscar buzz. Along with this great win, after Dubai George is headed to Rome to be honored with his co-star and good friend Don Cheadle by the Nobel Peace Laureates. Looks like 2007 is going to end on a high note for Clooney - not that he isn't used to the great life.

National Board of Review Awards Bring Out the Big Shots

Well, we jinxed it. Sorry folks. Just when we thought Sarah Larson was no longer in the picture, Clooney shows up with her on the red carpet at the 2007 National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala last night in NYC. George was there to take home Best Actor honors for Michael Clayton. The Garner-Afflecks were there for Ben's big Best Directorial Debut award but the couple walked the red carpet separately as always. So much for settling in on the west coast. Brand new dad, Casey Affleck, came to take home his Best Supporting Actor award while adorable Ellen Page picked up Breakthrough Performance by an Actress. The big honor of the evening went to Michael Douglas who claimed the Career Achievement Award. Hate to say he looks to be about the ripe age to get it but at least he's got Catherine to keep him young.

Clive and Julia Double Up for Duplicity

Clive Owen and Julia Roberts were in NYC yesterday, getting ready to start work on their upcoming thriller Duplicity. The pair, who also appeared together in Closer, star as a pair of corporate spies trying to pull off the ultimate con job, written and directed by Michael Clayton's Tony Gilroy. It may be part of getting into character, but this Hermes is a definite step up from some of her other recent bag choices. Julia's new darker 'do is growing on me, but anything looks good paired up with Clive's hotness.
