Michael Bublé Marks His One-Year Anniversary With Wife Luisana!

Michael Bublé and his wife Luisana Lopilato touched down in Rio yesterday evening. The couple are just one country away from her native Argentina, where Michael and Luisana celebrated one of their many huge wedding celebrations last year. The couple tied the knot exactly one year ago today in Buenos Aires!

Their trip to Brazil comes during an exciting professional time for Michael. He was just nominated for a Sony Radio Academy Award in the category of best music program, having hosted a two-month-long show for a London network last year. He's also in the running for four honors during Canada's Juno Awards, which take place tomorrow. Michael won't attend, however, as he's due to perform twice this weekend in Rio and Sao Paulo.

Michael Bublé and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, were hand in hand for a stroll in London last night. Michael's been in the UK doing press for his new book, Onstage, Offstage, and he met with fans at an event last week at Waterstones. His new memoir isn't the only project Michael is promoting, since he also has his Christmas album coming out on Oct. 24. He told us about working on holiday songs with Shania Twain for the CD when he was in Napa this Summer and also shared his excitement over one day starting a family with Luisana. The couple, who were married in March, aren't expecting yet since Michael said he wants to wait until Luisana is ready to have kids.

Michael Bublé and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, met up with a friend for lunch in Buenos Aires yesterday. They grabbed a bite to eat at Osaka Japanese restaurant and later checked out the Museum of Latin American Art during their outing in Luisana's hometown. The couple tied the knot in March, and they've been on the go ever since. Michael and Luisana honeymooned in Europe, celebrated their marriage again in Vancouver, and stopped in LA during a whirlwind few months, which also included Michael and Luisana's appearance in Napa. Michael may be currently enjoying downtime with Luisana in Argentina, but he still has a busy year ahead of him. He's releasing a Christmas album and a coffee table book, will star in an NBC special in December, and will also be the special musical guest on the Dec. 17 episode of SNL, which Jimmy Fallon will host.

Michael Bublé stopped in St. Helena for a special appearance at Beringer Vineyards as part of the Beringer & Bublé partnership last week. He teamed up with Beringer on his Crazy Love tour, and his visit to wine country was accompanied by a VIP performance for about 300 lucky fans and guests. We sat down with Michael and winemaker Laurie Hook to chat during the press day, and Michael opened up about his winemaking grandfather, his favorite Beringer blend, and what he and wife Luisana Lopilato love most about Napa. The singer also shared a few of his LA restaurant picks, which included Umami Burger and Malibu's Tra di Noi, and Michael Bublé gushed about his wedding, meeting Luisana, and more:

On his favorite parts of St. Helena: "How sweet and cute the main street is. Great restaurants that are so romantic. For me, I didn't know a lot about wine. I knew I liked it, but I couldn't explain what I liked. It was really fun for me to come here, and see how it's done, and the people that make it happen."
On blending wine at Beringer with his grandfather: "The first time I was here I was with my grandfather, we got this incredible tour, my favorite part of the tour was the pairing. I watched my grandpa down about 50 breadsticks. He kept saying, 'I shouldn't have these. I know I shouldn't have these.' And then he'd say 'I'll just have one more.' It was just so incredible."
On his favorite Beringer wine: "Beringer Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2008. I give it to my guests and I drink it a lot."
On his wife's first trip to Napa: "She's here. We arrived late, late last night. Had a hot tub off our balcony, which was nice, we had a little glass of wine. I asked her if she wanted to come here and hang out with me and she didn't. She was outside tanning, and now she's at the spa having a massage and a faaah-shil (facial) as she calls it."

They were spotted on the sweet stroll after Michael revealed that the outdoor mall is one of his favorite spots during an appearance for Beringer & Bublé in St. Helena last weekend. Michael told us about himself and Luisana, saying, "We love going to The Grove. I'm friends with the gentleman who owns it. I just think it's such a romantic place." Michael Bublé also shared about another date night favorite, Tra di Noi, in Malibu. The couple may count Hollywood as one of their homes, but Michael and Luisana seemed to enjoy their recent time in Northern California. Luisana took advantage of her first trip to Napa by lounging poolside and getting a massage, while Michael talked wine with fellow enthusiast Jason Priestley and took the stage in front of about 300 lucky fans and special guests. Michael will be back to performing when he returns to his Crazy Love tour in his home country of Canada in August before wrapping things up in Mexico at the end of the Summer.

Michael Bublé made a special appearance at Beringer Vineyards in St. Helena on Friday. He's been working with the winery, which is one of his Crazy Love tour sponsors, throughout the year and made the trip to Napa to meet with press and perform for 200 lucky fans who won the Beringer & Bublé contest. Also on hand for the event were Jason Priestley and his wife, Naomi Lowde, who enjoyed dinner and watched the show from the audience. We sat down with Michael before he hit the stage and he showed off his charming personality, shared a sample of his sexy voice, and toasted the room with a glass of Beringer Sauvignon Blanc. During the chat, Michael opened up about meeting his wife, Luisana Lopilato, their wedding in Argentina, his Christmas album, and more:

On being in Napa with Luisana: "She's here. I asked her if she wanted to come here and hang out with me and she didn't. On meeting his wife: "She went to go see me, I was in concert in Argentina. When I saw her my security was whisking me away to a room. I thought she was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I was actually really crushed because I knew that I wouldn't get to meet her again. I was with my grandpa and I was really down, I'd come out of a relationship and I was feeling really destroyed over it. I was sitting there, probably drinking a little too much. The guy who runs the record company asked me if I wanted to meet Argentina's most famous actor. I said fine, and there she walked in. I didn't know what to do. She was with this guy who looked like Brad Pitt on steroids. I just thought well that's great, and thank you God. I didn't want to hit on her because they were obviously together. I sat down, and she didn't speak English, and I didn't speak Spanish, but this guy with her spoke English. I sat with him and I tried very softly to ask him questions and find out what was going on between them. By my third scotch it was like 'you're so beautiful.' I remember grabbing his arm and being like, 'God I hate you. You're such a good looking couple.' And he's like 'no, we're not a couple.' At the same time she was on the phone texting her mom saying, 'I come to meet Michael Bublé and he is so gay.' It took me a couple days to convince her I wasn't."
On getting married: "The best night of my life I've ever had was the wedding night in Argentina. We partied, danced, drank, yelled, and screamed until 7 in the morning. It was beautiful. I made the deal with Lu we were going to get married there so all her people could come but my people weren't there. So I had an unwedding, as some people call it, I had a party in Vancouver. But then everyone said 'look he's doing it again, he must be the most romantic . . .' I'm just like stop, I'm not. It seemed so cheesy. It really creeps me out that people thought I was getting married four times. You know nothing against Seal and Heidi Klum, but I don't know about getting married every single year. Renewing your vows every five years or something cute like that, that's fine."
On settling down and having kids: "My home base will be in Vancouver, and Los Angeles, and Argentina. I'll split the time between Argentina and Vancouver until we hopefully have kids. And even then until they're about 4 or 5 years old we don't really have to worry too much. But it's going to be an issue. Obviously she loves her country, she's proud of her country, that's where her friends and family are."
On writing songs for people: "I've never written songs for someone. I write songs that are inspired by the feelings I have at the time whether I'm in love or my heart is broken. I don't seem to write very well if I'm just normal. Now I'm content and I will probably never write a hit song again."
On his Christmas album: "This morning I had to work, I was recording with Shania Twain for my Christmas record. She's in Europe. I was on Skype connected to my music producer David Foster, who was connected to Shania with her new husband and kids. I have one more date with David and then I have to go in with Bob Rock, who's another incredible producer. Then I start doing press, photoshoots, I'll start doing the music videos. Come November I'm sure they'll have me . . . I'm not sure how many countries I'll be in but I'm sure wherever they celebrate Christmas I'll be around."

The duo threw a reception in Michael's native Vancouver so his friends and family could take part in the nuptials. Michael and Luisana's first round of parties took place in Argentina, where she is from. Luisana and Michael's legal service was held a few days before they left Buenos Aires for the countryside and hosted a big bash for her relatives. They were then off for Italy and a three-week romantic honeymoon in Milan and Venice. He recently spoke about their multiple parties, revealing that they see no reason not to continue celebrating their momentous decision to wed. Michael said, "We're both nervous, but we're excited. It's just another excuse to celebrate our love, have a few drinks and to dance all night."

They duo are in his native Canada after recently wrapping up a beautiful honeymoon in Italy that included stops in Milan and Venice and plenty of PDA-filled photo ops. The were officially married in April in her hometown of Buenos Aires, then had a huge party in the Argentine countryside. Now, Luisana and Michael are planning to have yet another reception up north so that his friends and family are able to celebrate their nuptials. First, though, they had another occasion to celebrate. Yesterday was Luisana's 24th birthday, and she tweeted a big thanks to fans for the wishes on her latest big day.

Michael Bublé and Luisana Lopilato continued their honeymoon tour of Italy this afternoon. They hopped on a train to Milan after spending the last few days in Venice, where they enjoyed a gondola ride and shared PDA. Michael and Luisana were married earlier this month in two different ceremonies in her native Argentina, and they then headed off on their couple's getaway. The celebrations apparently aren't over, though, since the duo plan to throw a large reception for friends and family in Michael's hometown of Vancouver. The newlyweds will have a few weeks to enjoy their new committed status before Michael returns to his tour in June.
